We first did a meet and greet and from the moment we meant them we knew they were good people. We had already meet four other sitters at this point and were starting to feel hopeless. Jenna and Michael were warm, and lovely from the start. Their home is spacious, their yard is BIG, and their own pup, Chase is adorable! Sadie got lots of exercise playing with Chase and going on walks. I was worried that Sadie would taunt their chickens the entire time (which she probably did) but they handled it with evident experience around this challenge. We would happily book with them again. Even though we had to drive 45 minutes to them, it was 100% worth it. Thank you, Jenna, Michael, and Chase.”

“Dorota and Wayne are the BEST hosts ever!! Ricky loves going to stay with them! They have a HUGE yard where Ricky loves to play. They have wonderful dogs of their own who Ricky loves to play with. They're usually hosting a bunch of other great dogs, so it's always a big doggie party at their place!! They treat Ricky like one of their own, he has the run of their yard, their house, and their bedroom...he feels right at home!! The best part is Dorota sends LOADS of pictures everyday so we can see first hand what a great time Ricky is having when he stays with them!!! They even Facetimed with us!! About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

About: I grew up with dogs all my life but since moving to boston I haven't found a forever buddy so in the meanwhile I would love to take care of yours. I work full time at home but have a very flexible schedule. I am usually up by 6 am and go to bed as late as 10 pm. I usually take the doggies on a walk around 7-8 am then again around 12-2pm and then again in the evening 6-8pm. I will follow the the guidelines you provide for me of how to best take care of your furry one. I am organized and active.

About: I've loved dogs my whole life, and was privileged enough to have two mixed terriers in my household growing up. I was always involved in their care, from going on walks with them to being in charge of feeding them and letting them out. As they reached later life, I grew accustomed to caring for their more complicated health related needs. I've had experience hosting a dog in my own home, and have also dogsat in the client's home for an extended period of time, including overnight stay. I have experienced oral medicine administration, following a specific feeding regimen, and being a comforting presence for a dog with strong need for attachment and companionship. I have been friendly with dogs my whole life, and I'm excited to meet yours! I'm free during almost the entire week, days and nights, except for midday on Saturdays and Sundays. My home has a small fenced side yard, but I know of more expansive spaces, both fenced and unfenced, within walking distance of my house that I would be happy to take any pup to. I have experience heeding to a detailed feeding regimen, cleaning the food bowls regularly, and keeping to a consistent schedule with letting the dog in and out of the house. I am always open to walks if requested, including going multiple times a day. Bringing a comforting presence is my top priority in pet care. I play with Bosco in my giant backyard for an hour in the morning, and we go for a walk by the water in the afternoon to meet more fur friends. My yard is fenced with plastic deer fencing, and I always supervise the pups while they are in the backyard! Bosco is friendly with cats and dogs, loves to play outside and chill inside! Let Bosco and I relieve you some stress and watch your puppers while you do your thing! I wake up at 5-5:30 am to play with Bosco before going to work. I get back around 6 pm to take him on a walk. I'm available all day on weekends! I have a huge yard that is fenced with 7 foot plastic deer fencing that is secured with ground spikes and zip ties. All dogs are supervised while they're in the backyard. I keep the apartment nice and cool for Bosco, and always have new water available before a meal!

I am a lover of all dogs having personally adopted small, medium, and extra large breeds with hair, fur, and fuzzy fur! All of my furbabies have stayed with me from puppyhood through geriatrics. I currently have a Bernese Mountain Dog/Golden Retriever Mix and an English-Cream Golden Retriever. Before Rover, I cared for many dogs (even long term), they have overlapped and needed varying levels of care and attention. We are flexible! With Rover I have seen over 200 pups come through, and I love every one! I've had diabetic, geriatric, epileptic, and all sorts of medicated pups as well as the newly vaccinated youngest puppy in my care. We have a strict policy that I administer all meds, but for all other care we currently have 3 additional adults in the house that all pitch in and enjoy the pups. (no really they love my job too :) This is what I do! I seriously have the best job in the world. Every day I am home with my pups and yours getting licks, playing ball, and snuggling on the couch or visiting your home where your pup is excited to get a special visit with a potty and cookie break! I have a fenced in yard with a double gated entrance just like the dog parks. The yard is round pea-stone and turf so there is minimal dirt (although the slobber is another story). The 4 foot fence is locked on the main road side, it has top and bottom rails so no one is going underneath, the gaps at the gates are blocked securely. There is even chicken wire behind our lattice work under the porch. Sadly I can't fix the 4 ft jumpers, 8 lbs-110lbs have been safe and secure otherwise!

“Jenna and Michael were wonderful. We are also sitters on Rover and probably have higher than average standards for our babygirl Sadie (~60 lb rescue). We first did a meet and greet and from the moment we meant them we knew they were good people. We had already meet four other sitters at this point and were starting to feel hopeless. Jenna and Michael were warm, and lovely from the start. Their home is spacious, their yard is BIG, and their own pup, Chase is adorable! Sadie got lots of exercise playing with Chase and going on walks. I was worried that Sadie would taunt their chickens the entire time (which she probably did) but they handled it with evident experience around this challenge. We would happily book with them again. Even though we had to drive 45 minutes to them, it was 100% worth it. Thank you, Jenna, Michael, and Chase.”

About: We both have experience living with animals. Mary grew up and lived on a farm with many cats and dogs, as well as worked in a pet store on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts. Nick grew up owning fish, dogs, cats, and a number of hamsters and gerbils. We both love animals and want to make sure they aren't only taken care of, but also happy. We are living on the east side of Providence right now. We can book overnights stays, walks midday, or host for a fun/quiet night. . During those stays we will be able to take care of the animals at all times and accommodate them properly. We both currently work in the city but have flexible times during the day and weekends. We take them on plenty of walks and make sure they get to move throughout the day. Playtime is super important for most animals, not just taking them on a daily walk. We treat out clients animals as if they were our own. Regular/routine feeding times, outdoor activity, and plenty of love and care.
