About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm milking goats and cows, strategically herding animals to different pastures, and taming and befriending feral cats. This hands-on background gave me a natural ability to read animals' subtle body language and emotions. While I’m currently pet-free, I spent the last six years caring for my own beloved senior dogs (Iris, Linda, and then later Clyde), as well as pet-sitting friends’ dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. I genuinely love animals' unique quirks and letting them be exactly who they are—whether shy, silly, anxious, energetic, or sweet and slow-paced. I will admit, I have a major weak spot for mellow doggios, hence my love for the geriatrics. I’m also a registered nurse with extensive clinical experience. Staying calm under pressure, noticing subtle changes, and safely administering medications is second nature to me. As a caregiver, I pride myself on being attentive, reliable, and competent (which involves knowing what I know and also what I don't know—aka knowing when to ask for help or get help). My goal is to follow your established routines, rules, and training style so your pet feels that stability and reliability while in my care. I genuinely love getting to know new animals, and I promise to provide yours with the dedicated care they need. I'm available after 6 p.m. most weekdays, Thursdays are fully open, and weekends are open unless otherwise blocked. I am a flexible person so feel free to reach out if needing care outside of listed hours and I will consider it. I live on the first floor with a walk-out porch to a mostly fenced backyard. When outdoors, pets will remain on leash for safety. Goal would be to replicate whatever structure your pet is used to at home.

About: I have been raising dogs with my family since middle school, starting with an Alaskan Malamute puppy that was only 30 days old when we first brought her home. I grew up alongside her and gradually took on full responsibility for her daily care. This experience helped me develop patience, attentiveness, a strong sense of responsibility, and a deep emotional bond with dogs. Now, after more than ten years of experience living with dogs, I treat every dog with the same care and affection as my own. Dogs tend to respond positively to me, and I genuinely enjoy building trust and companionship with them. Caring for dogs is not just something I do—it is something I am truly passionate about and committed to. At the moment, I primarily work remotely, and I spend most of my time with my wife. This allows me to have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability. I am able to provide pet care services at any time throughout the week, and I approach each task with full energy, attention, and genuine enthusiasm. I prioritize safety, comfort, and trust when caring for every pet. During walks and outdoor activities, I carefully monitor the surrounding environment, making sure the area is safe and watching for any harmful objects or food that could pose a risk to the pet. I also pay close attention to interactions with unfamiliar dogs and other animals, ensuring that the experience remains positive and stress-free. I carefully observe each pet’s behavior, energy level, and overall condition, including monitoring their bathroom habits as an indicator of their health. I adjust exercise intensity based on the pet’s needs and make sure they cool down properly after more active play or walks. After high-energy activities, I provide water gradually and safely rather than allowing them to drink too quickly. I also provide detailed grooming care, including gentle brushing and checking for ticks or other concerns. If necessary, I will carefully remove ticks and make sure the pet remains comfortable. Beyond basic care, I enjoy spending time with pets through play, affection, and companionship. I treat every dog with the same patience, attention, and love that I would give to my own pet.

Growing up with so many animals, I will show your doggo affection and make sure it is getting the proper care and stimulation! I know how to tell when a dog wants to rest versus play/engage, so your dog will always be happy with me. Communication and transparency is also crucial when caring for your dog, so I will always send photos/text updates throughout the day and convey any issues that arise! I’m currently a third year med student so my schedule is quite varied - please reach out and we can discuss scheduling to find what works best :) I have a small fenced in yard and am within walking distance from India point park and Gano St dog park. I have a dog gate if necessary and an overall very spacious apartment for your fur baby :)
