About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

I grew up always being around dogs and cats—walking them, feeding them, and helping take care of their daily routines. In a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow all instructions exactly as given so pets stay on their normal routine. I focus on keeping them comfortable with feeding, water, litter or walks, and giving them attention so they feel safe while their owner is away. I also make sure to respect the home and leave everything clean and organized. If pets are in my care at my home, I make sure they are in a calm, safe environment where they can relax, stay on their usual schedule, and feel comfortable and secure.

I am the proud parent of a 3-year old labradoodle named Yoffi and he has a typical feeding, walk, play, and sleep routine.
