Chris and Whitney are simply the best :) We left our 4 year old aussielabradoodle with them for a little over a week and they took loving care of Ellie, being patient with her as she learned to navigate steps independently. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

Our house was known as the place to house sit if a loved one was to go on vacation or anything. As an adult, I have lived with a cat each year that I could. Though these pets were pretty small in breed, it's actually my dream to get a dane or a similar sized and mannered big friendly giant. I spent a lot of my time at shelters, in nature camp, and at the nature center when I was a kid keeping all the animals safe. I have been that friend who pets immediately bond with when visiting someone's place for the first time. I was even such a frequent guest at the nature center, I even named one of the corn snakes "Bracelet" since she would hang around my wrist as I went to walk around the Greenberg Nature Center to greet, feed, clean, and care for the other reptiles. I have been an honorary member of the staff since I was 5 years old! I am a full time graduate student now working in Providence for 2 months. Since my work can be flexible and I'm located in the heart of the city, I can be available anytime! I have 5 repeat dog clients right now, and live with a cat and tortoise right now so I'm always surrounded by pets and happy to meet more. I will return to Binghamton August 2, and will be open again for house sitting then. When I am home in New York, I am available full weekends and holidays. For dogs- On walks, I don't just walk alongside a dog but I pay attention to their body, queues, and interests. During house visits, I'd love to keep them engaged by playing with them, keeping them active, and of course letting them rest. I am extremely well organized and I would ensure they get fed and taken out at requested times. For cats- I would make sure that they get what they need and want. From alone time to pets to cuddles to carrying. I would be on time with food, medicine, or any other duties. I would keep a good eye on your cat and ensure they get into minimal trouble, while also letting them roam and explore. For any other animals- I would just be honored to hangout with your pet, as an exotic pet owner myself. I would ensure I am well educated in the handling and care of your animal!

Chris and Whitney are simply the best :) We left our 4 year old aussielabradoodle with them for a little over a week and they took loving care of Ellie, being patient with her as she learned to navigate steps independently. They sent us pics daily and Ellie always looked totally at home on the couch or in their bed and with other pups. They definitely made our being far away much easier to cope with knowing that Ellie was so well cared for. Highly, highly recommend 🥰”
