About: I’ve grown up with all kinds of animals and am well equipped in dealing with different dogs and cats. I understand all pets have different personalities and how to deal with them. I’m going to keep the pets engaged by playing with them and taking them for walks. My biggest priority is safety so I won’t just leave the pet alone for long periods of time. Not only that but no doors are even left unlocked and I ensure they aren’t eating random things. I love spending time with animals so the pet won’t ever be lonely. I have a bounty of toys in my house so the pet will never be bored and remain engaged. I consider myself to be a great dog person. My work schedule is flexible so I am able to pop in and out of my apartment to check in on my animals. Weekends are best for starting boarding so I can monitor the animal closely and get an understanding of its behaviour. To ensure safety, in both my home and a clients, I ensure doors are locked, not food items are left out, wires are out of reach if there are young animals. In my home, I make sure to not have any plants that could be harmful to cats or dogs.
About: I have been a fur mom since 2015 and have loved every minute of it! I travel once a month for work and understand the importance of wanting to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone who is responsible and will care for them as if they’re their own. I am fortunate enough to work fully remote from the comfort of my own home. This allows me to easily care for my own dog as well as yours, we take about 3 walks daily - one in the morning, one at lunch time and one after work. I live in a pet friendly apartment building. Unfortunately we do not have a fenced in yard, but I frequent Wooster Square park with Archie on leash multiple times a day!
About: I own dogs and cats of my own. Former kennel tech for a boarding and daycare facility of all dog breeds/ temperaments/sizes. Currently work with dogs. I work full-time 8-4pm. I am generally around on my off days and happy to stop by before and/or after work. Just reach out and we can try to work something out/ talk about schedules :) I usually dont do drop ins weekly, as my plans change when im not working, so please only ask for specific dates. I am an avid hiker, so if you have an energetic friend I am more than happy to take him or her out on longer walks! But I'm also down for hugs and cuddles with senior pets or furry felines
About: I’ve had pets around pretty much my whole life, so taking care of animals feels really familiar to me. I grew up with dogs and helped with all the usual day‑to‑day stuff. About five years ago my family adopted a cat, which definitely taught me a lot about how different cats can be and what they need. Since moving to Connecticut, I’ve also taken care of friends’ cats and gotten to know a bunch of different personalities. I’ve been around so many pets over the years that stepping into a new routine feels pretty natural. I’m excited to meet your pet and make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and understood while you’re away. Being a graduate student gives me a lot of flexibility day‑to‑day. I do tend to be in the lab roughly 9–5 on weekdays, but that’s not a hard rule — I can usually set my own hours or work from home when I need to. With enough notice, I can usually open up my schedule for pretty much any time of day, especially for dog walking or check‑ins. Weekdays after 5pm are often the easiest by default, and weekends depend on what I’ve planned, but I’m generally able to move things around. And honestly, there are plenty of days where my schedule is wide open and I can help out on short notice too. I live by myself in an apartment, so it’s easy for me to adjust to whatever your pet needs. Friends’ pets have been over plenty of times, so my place is already pet‑friendly. I’m happy to follow whatever routine your pet is used to so things feel familiar for them. For walks and drop‑ins, I can adjust to whatever your and your pets needs are. I really enjoy getting outside with dogs, so walks are something I’m always happy to make time for. The only downside is that I don’t have a yard, but I make up for it with regular walks, check‑ins, and paying attention to what your pet needs to feel comfortable.
“Sarah did such an amazing job! I have two dogs with very different personalities and she handled them both great! She also took them on a long walk they were still sleepy by the time we got home. Thanks again!”

My apartment has large open spaces and lots of light
“I was new to the area and needed a dog walker within a few days notice. And somehow got lucky enough to stumble upon Mary Rose’s profile. She’s incredibly sweet and responsive, and truly loves animals. Whether it be just a walk in the neighborhood or staying overnight, I truly have zero worries about leaving my dog and two cats. You can tell she loves what she does. Although she’d say she was the lucky one, pretty sure I win! :)”

New Haven dog parents share their Rover experiences
As first time puppy parents, we felt a little anxious about hiring someone to help care for Milo, but Rick quickly calmed our nerves. He clearly prioritized our puppy’s comfort, asking plenty of great questions at the meet and greet. Rick was punctual, a reliable communicator, and took the cutest pics of Milo! We will be rebooking and highly recommend Rick without hesitation. :)

Aleeki is so kind and reliable! She’s taken care of my dog a few times now and every time she is so communicative. I had some last minute schedule changes last weekend and she really went above and beyond to make sure my girl was well cared for. I appreciate her so much!
Sophia is the best dog sitter and walker we have ever come across. She stayed at our place with our 11 year old Puggle, Finn, for 10 days while we were in Italy and we had absolutely no worries. She was so attentive and caring towards him, and always reached out to us with questions, updates and pictures. It’s very obvious that Sophia is a natural with animals and that they sense they can trust her. Recently, we had her watch/feed/walk both Finn and our daughter’s Australian Shepherd, Ava, who can be a handful around strangers and other dogs but Ava took to Sophia immediately. We trust Sophia implicitly and I think you will find that to be true, too. You’ll make the best decision by entrusting your pets in her care!

Nancy was immediately loved by my pit mix Cheebs. He is very selective about his people but warmed up to Nancy so quickly, which made us knew we can trust her. She’s great with our guy, loves on him like he’s her own. She’s stayed in our home and done a few walks and we know we can count on her. Thank you, Nancy!
