About: I have had dogs & cats my whole life & have grown up taking care of neighbors’ & friends’ pets in addition to my own! I have also cared for birds, rabbits, reptiles, and exotic animals at rehabilitation facilities. I love animals & am ready to attend to the specific needs of all different species. This summer, I am working irregular schedules for a few different side gigs but currently have ample free time every day & night to attend to your pets! I treat every animal & home with the respect that I would treat my own. I want to ensure the comfort of the pet & also minimize stress as much as possible for you! I am a strong communicator and will not hesitate to reach out with questions to make sure you know I care about providing the best service.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments since I was 18. Now working in the medical side, I am able to make sure pets get their medications (including insulin) appropriately. I am mostly able to care for pets during the weekends or at nights. My work schedule at the veterinarian keeps me busy during the weekdays. I am unfortunately not able to offer pet care at my personal home. I am more than willing to travel to a clients house to care for their pets in their most comfortable environment.

13. Janalie C.
About: I’m a recent Yale grad who has been taking care of dogs and many other animals since I was 5! I have been on Rover since 2021 with dozens of past clients and multiple great reviews! When I was a child, one of my favorite pastimes was reading books on dogs and best care practices and what their body language means because I always dreamt of having my own puppy. While I never did growing up, I was able to watch my neighbors and family’s dogs plenty of times and have fostered multiple pups throughout my life, which has included administering medication and training puppies. I’d love to care for your dog! Until late July, I am completely available to take care of your pup! I will begin full-time work in a different location in August, so unfortunately if you need a sitter after then I’m probably not the one — but for the rest of the summer I have more than enough time to dedicate to your dog! Any dogs I care for will receive as much exercise as they’d like, including multiple walks lasting anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on the dog’s displayed energy level. We may even go on runs if the dog enjoys that! If I’m house sitting, they will also get much indoor play time, in addition to any games of fetch if it’s alright for them to be off-leash outdoors. I will also make absolutely certain that they stay hydrated and well-fed, and will check for tics if we go in any wooded or tall-grass areas!

14. Mallory H.
“Mallory is incredibly responsible, attentive, and kind. She has a natural way with animals and treats every pet like her own. I wholeheartedly recommend her as a caregiver!”

15. Vanessa P.

“Vanessa was great with Oscar! She was readily available and super easy to communicate with. We will be happy to book her again in the future!”

16. Angela M.
“Angela is very professional and dogs LOVE her! She has taken care of all of our 4 legged family members over the years! I would highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I give to every pet as if they were my own. I have experience with dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to sweet senior dogs who need a little extra TLC. I’m patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s unique needs, whether it’s administering medication, sticking to a specific routine, or just providing tons of cuddles and playtime. I’m also active, so energetic pups will get plenty of exercise and outdoor time! I work from home, which means I’m able to give pets consistent attention and care throughout the day. Whether it’s regular potty breaks, playtime, or just keeping them company while I work, I love having pets around—it makes my day better! My flexible schedule allows me to stick closely to their routine and be fully present for walks, feeding, and any special needs they might have. Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle, and I genuinely enjoy it. At my home, pets have plenty of space to relax and play! I have a yard for fresh air and outdoor time, and I’m lucky to live near two parks—perfect for walks, exercise, and a little adventure. I keep a clean, calm environment and tailor the care to each pet’s needs, whether that’s sticking to a feeding schedule, giving medication, or providing lots of love and attention. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family while they’re with me.

18. Mariana D.
“Mariana did a great job taking care of my dog when I had to go away for the weekend. She is a dog owner herself and has been taking care of them all her life. She walked my dog multiple times each day and texted me updates/photos both days so I knew he was having a good time and was well taken care of. She was also prompt and accommodating when I had to drop him off early Saturday morning. I don't normally post recommendations, but I had to this time because she is starting out on Rover and I would highly recommend her to anyone that would need to have their family member looked after for a couple of days.”

19. Brianna R.

“Super helpful, thank you!”

20. Sachi P.
About: I’ve had the privilege of helping care for my family’s rescue dog for over 11 years. He came from an abusive situation, so I learned early on how to be incredibly patient, observant, and gentle. Through consistent training, daily walks, and lots of love, I helped him build trust and confidence. This experience taught me how to read a dog’s body language, respond to anxiety, and create routines that make pets feel safe and supported. Although he now lives with my parents, I carry the same compassion and attentiveness with me and treat every dog I walk as if they were my own. Hi! I’m Sachi, a full-time young professional who can’t wait to have my own pup one day —but for now, I get my puppy fix by caring for yours! I grew up in a family of animal lovers and have experience walking, feeding, and caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. While my job keeps me from having a pet full-time, it also gives me the flexibility to walk, play, and check in on dogs during mornings, evenings, and weekends. I treat every pet like they’re my own—with love, patience, and plenty of tail-wagging attention. You can count on me to: • Show up on time and provide updates • Stick to your pet’s routine • Be attentive to their behavior and needs • Send you lots of adorable photos! Let’s set up a meet-and-greet—I’d love to get to know you and your pup! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, respect, and consistency. I always follow your instructions closely—whether it’s feeding schedules, walk routines, or any quirks your pet has—because no one knows your pet better than you. I take the time to understand their behavior, body language, and comfort zones to ensure they feel safe and secure while you’re away. I never rush visits, and I aim to create a calm, friendly environment by speaking gently, moving at their pace, and using positive reinforcement. I also make sure doors are securely locked, gates are latched, and your pet is never left unsupervised in unsafe situations. You can expect regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
