“Shes always great with Georgia”

About: To say I'm a dog lover is an understatement! I had a dog of my own, so I know the ins and outs of caring for one, and I have over 4 years of experience. I don't have the schedule yet to own a dog of my own, so caring for other dogs is the next best thing. I don't have any preference of size or energy level, so I would love to tend to the needs of yours whenever you need it. My areas of experience are pet sitting, entertaining, walking, and I have a good space for boarding, and am right in the middle of a vibrant city. I would love the opportunity to care for your dog! I have just graduated college and so I don’t start graduate school until early July. For the most part, I will be home and around so my availability is very open weekdays and weekends. I go to the gym and am pretty social, but my schedule allows me to spend ample time with your dog. From walks to car rides to days on the beach your dog will be smoothly included into my day to day! When caring for dogs in my home/apartment, I like the be around the dog playing with them or just keeping them company. Whenever I do have to leave I make sure they have the necessities like water/food, and that they are as comfortable as they can be while I’m not there. Being an athlete I am very active already, so taking a dog outside for long walks or just a scenic walk in the city/park would be my pleasure! Aside from staying active with your dog, I am a huge doggy cuddler, so if your dog loves to be up close and personal, I’m the person for you! When caring for dogs in other homes, I am sure to keep the dog entertained, and even when we’re not playing, I always keep an eye on them and keep them comfy. When walking a dog, I like to walk them through nature filled areas or places that are scenic and for a good amount of time so they themselves can enjoy the walk. Also, I have many independent clients outside of Rover so I am open to doing pay/booking outside of the app to avoid fees on both ends. Just ask!

“Patty is amazing! She was so thoughtful with Odie (my puppy) and communicated with me before and after each walk. She even sent me photos from their walks! I will definitely be using Patty again- she is a gem!”

“If I could leave Jen 6 stars, I would. She is not only communicative and easy to work with, she’s also so kind. I don’t know about you, but that is so appreciated when you’re stressed about getting some last-minute care for your pup. She’s also great with Jax and he loves her. Highly recommend contacting Jen for fur baby needs!”

About: Hello! I am an avid animal lover with detailed experience in both cat and dog care. For the past 6 years I have been pet-sitting for neighbors and friends. I grew up with a beloved family dog, Sam, who lived until 17 years old. He needed a lot of extra care for the past few years, and I learned a lot about caring for elderly dogs. I have a cat of my own, a black cat named Kiki, whom I raised since she was a kitten. As a graduate student, I have a lot of availability throughout the week to perform visits and dog-walks. My schedule is very flexible and I am ammenable to fit it best to your needs! As I have a cat of my own here in New Haven, I am not offering home stays at this time due to the space available in my apartment. However, for home visits and checkups, I am dedicated to honoring a client's space and helping the pet to feel as comfortable and happy as possible while their owner is away.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I give to every pet as if they were my own. I have experience with dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to sweet senior dogs who need a little extra TLC. I’m patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s unique needs, whether it’s administering medication, sticking to a specific routine, or just providing tons of cuddles and playtime. I’m also active, so energetic pups will get plenty of exercise and outdoor time! I work from home, which means I’m able to give pets consistent attention and care throughout the day. Whether it’s regular potty breaks, playtime, or just keeping them company while I work, I love having pets around—it makes my day better! My flexible schedule allows me to stick closely to their routine and be fully present for walks, feeding, and any special needs they might have. Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle, and I genuinely enjoy it. At my home, pets have plenty of space to relax and play! I have a yard for fresh air and outdoor time, and I’m lucky to live near two parks—perfect for walks, exercise, and a little adventure. I keep a clean, calm environment and tailor the care to each pet’s needs, whether that’s sticking to a feeding schedule, giving medication, or providing lots of love and attention. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family while they’re with me.

“Vanessa is so lovely! She walks my pug, Mabel, regularly and Mabel adores her. She is incredibly reliable and sends great pictures and updates. I appreciate her extra effort so much and would recommend her to anyone!”

About: Over the past 6 years I have worked with plenty of dogs from tiny Pomeranians to big golden doodles. I am high energy and love being able to take care of all kinds of pets. Going on walks, playing fetch, you name it and I can do it. I have experience with all types of pets and I can not wait to help provide care for more in the future. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding dog sitting, walking, etc. Thank you so much! I work from home full time on second shift so I am able to care in the morning and around midday! I’m available for same day bookings and emergencies. My home is animal free and so it's easy to board a pet. However, it would be helpful to have a list of tips whenever I'm taking care of a pet at the owner's house.

About: I own dogs and cats of my own. Former kennel tech for a boarding and daycare facility of all dog breeds/ temperaments/sizes. Currently work with dogs. I work full-time. I work a regular 8hr shift and not super close to home. So I am usually away from 7:30am- 4:30pm. I am generally around on my off days and happy to stop by before and/or after work. Just reach out and we can try to work something out/ talk about schedules :) I usually dont do drop ins weekly so please only ask for specific dates. I am an avid hiker, so if you have an energetic friend I am more than happy to take him or her out on longer walks! But I'm also down for hugs and cuddles with senior pets or furry felines

About: Hello! My name is Mikayla and I am a Yale graduate student who recently moved to New Haven with my husband. Since 2010, and on my own since 2017, I took care of my family yellow lab, Molly, until she passed at 13.5 years old. Through this, I have had experience with all stages of a dog’s life, with extensive experience in senior care. I am also available for boarding other pets as well (i.e. cats). Due to my flexible school schedule I am available to walk or board your pet at most times throughout the week. My husband, Justin, and I cannot wait to welcome your pet into our home and we promise to love and take of them while you are away. Feel free to reach out if you have any direct questions. Looking forward to caring for your pet!! 😊 I am a graduate nursing student with a flexible schedule where I only go into school or clinicals 2x a week. I am also able to come back throughout the day during those times. Lastly, my husband works from home so someone is always there to care for your pet. I have a partially fenced yard for your dog to play and use the restroom. Our home is open and clean, making it easy for cats and dogs to move around. It is 2 floors, but the first floor is main living so senior pets do not need to access the stairs.

“Vanessa came 3 times a day for a whole week while I was gone for Thanksgiving! She checked in on my cat and walked my dog and fed her. It was super nice knowing my senior puppy can be comfortable at home even while im gone. Vanessa is really responsive and timely and goes above and beyond! (playtime with my pup, strategically hiding the house keys when needed, and letting me know of any changes or things going on with my critters promptly.) Thanks for being my go-to pet sitter! You’re awesome!!”

“Mankamal was great with our 8mo old border collie/german shepard puppy!! She followed our instructions and he loved his walks. She also gave us some great pics while we were away :)”

“Lily was simply the best. She was thoughtful, loving, and fun with our boys. She took our very athletic/high-energy schnauzer on a great walk. She spent quality time playing with our dogs, including applying different ways of engaging with them. We couldn’t be more grateful to have found Lily on here.”

“Olivia walked my senior dog for two days. She was really attentive, patient and kind with him. I will definitely call her again!”

About: I’m a current Yale student who has been taking care of dogs and many other animals since I was 5! I have over about a year of experience on Rover with dozens of past clients and multiple great reviews! When I was a child, one of my favorite pastimes was reading books on dogs and best care practices and what their body language means because I always dreamt of having my own puppy. While I never did growing up, I was able to watch my neighbors and family’s dogs plenty of times and have fostered multiple pups throughout my life, which has included administering medication and training puppies. I’d love to care for your dog! I work from the office 9-5 on Monday through Thursday, and am remote on Fridays and largely stay at home on the weekends! I’m best suited for dogs who have twice daily walks (that can be as long or as short as they need) but who still need and deserve lots of love and attention! Any dogs I care for will receive as much exercise as they’d like, including multiple walks lasting anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on the dog’s displayed energy level. We may even go on runs if the dog enjoys that! If I’m house sitting, they will also get much indoor play time, in addition to any games of fetch if it’s alright for them to be off-leash outdoors. I will also make absolutely certain that they stay hydrated and well-fed, and will check for tics if we go in any wooded or tall-grass areas!
