About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, especially cats. Over the years, I have become the go-to pet sitter within my friend group and regularly care for my friends’ cats while they are away on vacation. I also grew up informally pet sitting for neighbors and friends, giving me experience caring for pets in a variety of home environments and routines. I currently care for my own cat, Reami, a 3-year-old Ragamuffin whom I have raised since he was a kitten. Reami has anxiety-related health issues that can contribute to urinary tract problems, so I am very familiar with providing attentive, patient, and consistent care for sensitive pets. Because of his needs, I understand the importance of maintaining a calm environment, monitoring behavior closely, sticking to routines, encouraging play and enrichment, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. In addition to caring for Reami, I have also helped care for my roommates’ cats in the past, including feeding, playtime, litter box maintenance, and general companionship. Through these experiences, I have become comfortable caring for cats with different personalities, energy levels, and temperaments — from shy and anxious cats to highly social and playful ones. While I mainly prefer cat sitting, I also have some experience with dogs, including walking friends’ dogs and taking them on hikes and outdoor outings. I am happy to provide patient, attentive care tailored to each pet’s personality and comfort level. As a sitter, I prioritize communication, reliability, cleanliness, and making sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment while their owners are away. I am a graduate student whose lab is only a 15 minute walk away from home. My schedule is extremely flexible and except for few meetings throughout the week, my schedule is fully up to me. I am also able to leave at any point for short breaks to take pets out for walks/ check up on them. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet I care for. I understand that pets — especially cats — can be sensitive to changes in routine, so I do my best to keep their schedule and environment consistent while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, litter box cleaning, playtime, exercise, and any specific routines or preferences. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well cared for. As the owner of an anxious cat with special care needs, I am very attentive to pets’ behavior, comfort, and stress levels. I value patience, cleanliness, reliability, and making sure every pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved.

About: My name is Patrick, and I’m a current college student, double-majoring in Environmental Studies and Sociology. As I study society and the environment, I have a deep appreciation for the meanings we give to our pets because of the joy they bring us. My love for animals has been with me my entire life, as I can’t remember a time when my fondness for furry companions wasn’t there! I’ve owned my dog Cody for 10 years, and I still remember how, for the longest time, getting a dog was the gift I wanted most growing up. When my parents finally agreed, it marked the beginning of a series of memories and shared experiences with Cody. My love for pets has led me to spend a lot of time researching the care required for all sorts of animals, and I’m happy to provide attentive and compassionate care for your companion! (: As a college student on summer break, I have ample time to give to petsitting and will ensure I give adequate care to all pets! I care for pets like they’re my own! Even before having pets myself, I was always focused on learning how to properly care for animals. I still remember convincing my parents to let me get a hamster as a child by researching everything it needed beforehand. I understand that every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow any specific routines, instructions, or care needs to make sure your companion feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

About: I have been taking care of my own cats and dogs since I was a young child. From potty training to de-escalation, I've seen quite a bit! Oh, and that old saying is not true. You can definitely teach an old dog new tricks. I work a flexible, remote job and am flexible on when I can provide pet services. While I cannot board animals, I am open to visit your pets while away and/or take them on a brisk stroll! I try to make your pet's experience as comforting for everyone as possible. I appreciate getting a list of each pet's likes/dislikes, or even anxieties so I can get a good idea of how to keep them comfortable. I think we can all agree that new people can be scary, and I want to make sure you and your pet feel comfortable and can trust me.

About: An absolute dog lover 💗 !! I’ve cared for my friends’ dogs while they were traveling, usually for one to two weeks at a time, and I’ve also volunteered to walk dogs in my neighborhood. My dream has always been to have a dog of my own, but one of my family members is allergic. I’m currently a student and would love to meet more dogs and help care for your pets when you’re away or busy! I’m currently a student doing remote lab work, so my schedule is usually flexible during both weekdays and weekends, but availability may vary by day. For safety reasons, I prefer to complete all walks before dark, ideally before around 8 pm in the summer. I’m happy to discuss specific times in advance to make sure the schedule works for both of us! I don’t currently offer boarding. For walks, I usually prioritize the dog’s normal route and routine. If the owner is comfortable, I can also walk nearby parks, greenways, or quiet neighborhood areas while keeping safety and the dog’s comfort in mind.

About: I started dog walking in college, which naturally expanded to sitting. Other than the feeling of getting my degree, taking care of those sweet pets made my experience so pleasant. Community members have trusted me to not only make sure their pets are properly looked after, but that they make a new friend too. Befriending new animals is why I love this job! I have recently completed an MFA in Stage Management at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale and, now have plenty of time to take pups on walks or do sittings. I'm generally free most afternoons and evenings, with occasional morning availability. I am very attentive to a pet's needs, and will make sure to give them the love they want (and know when to back off if they'd rather be alone). Unfortunately I am not currently offering boarding for furry friends. Before visits/sitting I'd prefer to meet beforehand, to get used to the space and aquainted with the pet's routine.
