About: I’ve been taking care of animals all my life. I’ve had both cats and dogs for many years. I have also worked at a doggy daycare/boarding place for dogs and cats. I’m working part time in other jobs, but will always have time to stop by to take care of other animals every day of the week. I will stay over night, but there will be times where I cannot stay there for the full daytime. I will only be gone for 4-6 hours at most at a time. I will be sure to follow all of the rules from the client. I will feed your animals at the correct times, play with them, etc. The safety and comfortableness of your pets are my top priority.

Aprile K.
“Aprile is a loving and responsible pet care giver. Not only to her own pets—Riley, a beautiful collie/shepherd mix, Merlyn a wonderful Main Coon and Agatha, a delightful Calico. I trusted all of our pets—2 cats and 2 dogs—into Aprile’s care numerous times. She’s dependable, self-motivated, and understands from first hand experience what pets mean to their people. Rover could not do better than to welcome Aprile to their team of exemplary pet caregivers.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 14. I have been a walker for other services for over 2 yrs. I've been told that I have a lot of patient with animals and can usually make friends with any animal. I'm currently working at home full time so I'll have plenty of time to take breaks to walk and play with your pet. I like to take walks and stay active, so I wouldn't mind frequent walks. I can crate your dog if needed. I treat every dog as my own with special care and attention. I leave nothing out that could potentially hurt any pet and I follow strict dietary needs for all animals.

Shannon R.
“My best friend Shannon is highly responsible with pets. Having a cat of her own, she takes excellent care of him and ensures he is always well-fed, loved, and safe. She has also helped a friend by watching her dogs which she did very well. She showed them great love and care. Her friend and her pets were satisfied.”

Marielle V.

“Marielle is very reliable and responsive. I love the report cards she writes for him; they always have fun little tidbits about their walks. It makes me happy knowing he is in good care while I’m at work.”

Jordan B.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive background in pet care and my diverse experience with various types of pets. Since childhood, I have had the privilege of caring for a wide range of animals, including hamsters, Guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, cats, and even snakes. This exposure has given me a deep understanding of the unique needs and behaviors of different species, allowing me to provide tailored care to each pet under my supervision. One of my notable skills is training puppies and adult dogs. Through my experience, I have developed effective training techniques that promote positive behavior and reinforce obedience. Whether it's teaching basic commands or addressing specific behavioral issues, I have the expertise to guide dogs of all ages towards becoming well-behaved companions. Additionally, I have dedicated my time to volunteer work in the field of animal care. I spent several years volunteering at a veterinary clinic during high school, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in handling animals, administering basic medical procedures, and assisting with various aspects of veterinary care. This experience has equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to handle emergency situations, including performing CPR on dogs if necessary. Furthermore, I volunteered at a non-profit animal farm, which allowed me to work with a wide variety of animals in a farm setting. This experience enhanced my understanding of animal behavior and helped me develop a compassionate and attentive approach to their care. In terms of grooming, I am skilled in several aspects, including nail trimming, ear cleaning, and general grooming routines for dogs. I understand the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and ensuring the comfort of pets under my care. I can provide a calm and gentle grooming experience for dogs, making it a positive and stress-free process for them. With my diverse pet care experience, training skills, volunteer work at a vet clinic and animal farm, as well as my grooming expertise, I offer a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge that allow me to provide exceptional care for pets. I am committed to ensuring the well-being, safety, and happiness of the animals entrusted to my care. I am currently a full time online student so I can choose whenever I complete my classes which gives me flexibility in my pet care schedule! I am the most flexible pet sitter ever! Firstly before any appointment I ensure that my home is pet-proofed, removing any potential hazards or toxic substances. I secure the windows, electrical cords, and keep small objects out of the pets reach. I also will make sure your pet always has access to clean and fresh water. Regularly refilling their water bowl throughout the day to keep them hydrated. I will also engage your pet in physical activities to maintain their health and well-being. For example taking your dog for walk or playing games with them. For other types of pets I will also provide interactive toys for mental stimulation. I also do not mind grooming your pet according to their specific needs. For example brushing their fur, trim their nails, clean their ears. Overall I see pets as children and will protect and care for them as such! ❤️

Meghan L.

“First time having Megan walk my dog while I was out of town for the weekend. She was friendly, communicative and punctual for every scheduled walk. And she squeezed in a last minute meet n' greet at our home the morning of (day we were leaving), which allowed me to see how comfortable my dog was with her. He warmed up to her immediately, and knowing he was in good hands, gave me peace of mind. Would definitely book again, thank you, Meghan!!”

Jennifer D.

“Amazing! Jennifer is super easy to communicate with. She was very thorough during our (virtual) meet and greet, which I appreciated so much. Her walk with Oscar seemed to have gone great, and she sent us the loveliest pictures of him in the nature alongside a very cute note. I am definitely going to keep booking with her in the future.”

About: Giving reliable and trustworthy care for your sweet pup, because I would want the same for my seven year old Sheppard/Lab mix and best friend. My fiancé and I are new to New Haven, moving from NC. My availability is mostly open, meaning I am free to walk your dog or let them out when they would normally go to the bathroom. I will care for your fur baby in your home. The distance of walks will depend on your dogs ability/preferences. Safety is a big priority for me and I would love to meet you and your pet over video chat before booking.

Anthony Q.
“Anthony is wonderful with my bulldog, Bruce, at doggy daycare. He is very communicative and will ask questions and send updates throughout the day as needed, and is very attentive to Bruce. Bruce bonded with him on the first day and now makes himself at home at his place. It's clear that Anthony and Monique love dogs and I feel very much at ease leaving Bruce in their care.”

Catie P.
“I have a 3 year old pit mix with a TON of energy, loves to run on the beach and visit dog parks. Catie did not hesitate to play with her and take her for long walks giving her the energy outlet she needed. Plus, she was able to trim her nails for me, something I couldn't get Kiko to sit still for. Thank you Catie!”

Eliana S.
“Eliana is AWESOME when it comes to pets. She treats every pet as if they were her own (which is a Cairn terrier, which she could talk about for hours if you ask). Eliana is the only person I trust to walk my dog, because she’s the only person who returns him in an even better mood than when she picks him up. She is super gentle and extra responsive to the dogs she’s with, so I always feel very safe leaving my pup with her. 5/5 stars!”

Olivia M.
“Olivia is a loving pet caregiver. She has always had a love for any and all animals-big and small. She currently has a dog of her own, and this dog is treated like her child.”

Emmajane M.
“Emma Jane has cared for my dog many times over the past 5 years. She is the only one I will trust to care for her especially when I went to New Zealand for a 2 weeks. My dog loves her. She loves my dog. She is a natural animal lover and her medical training for humans is a bonus should she ever get sick. My dog is elderly and needs medication and geriatric care. Emma Jane is very sensitive to her needs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for pet sitting.”

Liz W.

“Liz continues to be an essential part of our family, and I am extremely grateful for her excellent communication as well as her work with my dog. Charlie - my English foxhound - adores Liz, and we could not be happier.”
