“Heather is wonderful! Maizie cozied up to her immediately, and it's super-clear she and Heather have a tight bond even after just a couple of walks (and belly rubs..). And I get to come home at the end of the day to a very happy and calm pup.”

“Jeanne was so good with my two pups! She was so kind and caring with them! She went above and beyond giving them extra love and homemade treats! She took them out for a walk while I was getting married and made sure we had nothing to worry about with the dogs! She made sure to stay a little extra and play with them! Very personal and professional! Definitely will use her in the future!”

About: I've got 7 years of experience taking care of dogs and cats. I enjoy getting to know them and giving them a great walk around the neighborhood! I am available this winter if 2025/2026. I'm already booked on Christmas & New Year's Eve. My schedule is open and I hope to meet up soon. I live in a 2 story apartment one block away from a park on the harbor. It's a quick trot for any walks or socializing. My yard does not have a fence.
About: I have helped raise 3 litters of puppies, and I have extensive experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and abilities from my time as a pet parent and volunteer at my local animal shelter. I am currently in graduate school and work part time, leaving the majority of my days and weekends available to care for your furry friend! I am a lifelong animal lover, and given my active lifestyle, I am able to keep up with even the highest energy animals! I am also very detail-oriented, meaning that I can anticipate your animal’s needs and give them a similar experience to their day-to-day routine with you.
“Crystal is fantastic! Our pups love the time they spent walking with Crystal. Thank you for watching our pups and following the instructions to ensure proper care while we were away! We highly recommend Crystal!”

About: I love dogs as the oversized babies that they are. I love to play with them and go on hikes. It’s great to have a little buddy around. I work full time but looking forward to walking dogs after or before work. I’m looking forward to having a companion while hosting dogs on my days off I’m very attentive and engaging. I am adaptable to each dogs personality and energy levels. Whether it’s a cozy day watching tv and cuddling on the couch or out and about on a hike.
About: I’ve grown up around dogs and later cared for two cats through their senior years, which taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of consistent routines. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, basic care, and giving pets the attention and affection they need to feel secure. I’ve also cared for friends’ pets and homes while they traveled, following detailed instructions and maintaining a calm, reliable presence. Since I mostly work from home, pets are rarely left alone and always have companionship. I care for animals as if they were my own and understand how important it is to trust the person looking after them. I offer both full-time and part-time pet care. I run my own startup, which allows me to set my schedule and remain flexible. This means I can be available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and companionship, depending on your pet’s needs. I believe pets are most comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment, which is why I prefer caring for them in their own home whenever possible. This helps maintain their routines and reduces stress. That said, I’m flexible and happy to welcome pets into my home when needed. I take safety and trust very seriously. I carefully follow all care instructions, pay close attention to pets’ behavior and needs, and ensure a calm, clean, and secure environment at all times. I’m respectful of both pets and owners’ homes, communicate clearly, and prioritize consistency, comfort, and peace of mind.
About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs for over 8 years and currently have two of my own. While I’m new to pet sitting professionally, caring for dogs is a big part of my everyday life, from walks and feeding to reinforcing routines and providing affection. I’m calm, attentive, and committed to making sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. Every dog (and animal) deserves all the love in the world. Having used Rover in the past for my own pet care needs, I can understand the anxiety of leaving a pet behind. I know what helped me have peace of mind while I was away and I make it a point to instil that security in owners trusting me with their family members. Pictures, videos and daily updates are to be expected for peace of mind. I’m available most days in the mornings and early afternoons. I work 3 PM–11 PM, which makes mornings a great fit for me. I only work four days a week, so if you need care after 3 PM, just message me and I can let you know if I’m available that day. I take safety very seriously and care for every pet as if they were my own. I’m attentive, calm, and mindful of each pet’s environment, making sure it’s clean, secure, and free of hazards. I’ve taken the time to learn pet CPR and know how to respond if a pet is choking or needs the Heimlich maneuver. As a nurse, I’m able to stay calm in unexpected situations and will always prioritize a pet’s comfort, safety, and wellbeing. Their safety is my top priority.
About: I own dogs and cats of my own. Former kennel tech for a boarding and daycare facility of all dog breeds/ temperaments/sizes. Currently work with dogs. I work full-time. I am generally around on my off days and happy to stop by before and/or after work. Just reach out and we can try to work something out/ talk about schedules :) I usually dont do drop ins weekly, as my plans change when im not working, so please only ask for specific dates. I am an avid hiker, so if you have an energetic friend I am more than happy to take him or her out on longer walks! But I'm also down for hugs and cuddles with senior pets or furry felines
“Marie has been walking our German Shepherd Lizzy for a few weeks now and has been great! Very reliable and has even been able to accommodate last minute walks when our schedules have been crazy! Really appreciate her hard work”

“Megan has been dog walking for us a couple weeks now and the service and communication has been excellent! Lizzy seems like she is getting good exercise and has been well taken care of”

About: I’ve taken care of many types of dogs and cats from pugs, to raising my 4 year old English cream golden retriever from 2 months to now, to a Bernese mountain dog! Friends and family rely on me to take care of their pets when I am away and I’m all for it! Let me know how I can best serve you and your furry family members! I’m currently attending Yale’s PA program. Most days vary depending on the schedule but I am available for potty breaks. During the evening I will be home and available. Weekends I love to spend outside and would be more than happy to take your pet along! Message me with questions! I have quite a bit of skill with a range of dogs and have learned quite a bit with my golden from puppy age to now (who is rambunctious as you can imagine!) I care for other peoples pets as I would my own.
About: I've had dogs, large and small, off and on since I was 9. I'm comfortable working with them and making sure their needs are met. I'm definitely also a cat person and enjoy the chill companionship that they provide. I'm happy to work with you to make sure your fuzzy family members are taken care of as well as I would want my own to be. I am self employed and have a flexible work from home schedule. During the school year, I have flexible availability around pick up and drop off times, and during the summer my hours are even more flexible. Whatever schedule you need, I can probably accommodate (within reason). While I cannot care for your pets in my home at this time, I'm happy to work with you to care for your pets in your home following their usual routine to keep them as comfortable and happy as possible. There's no stock answer for that, as routines will be different for every pet, so please feel free to reach out and we can talk about your pet's specific needs!
East Shore dog parents share their Rover experiences
My dog can be picky with strangers, but she loves Yunwen. Yunwen is super sweet—she took my pup to a big grassy field to play, and brought water so she could drink on the way. I could tell my pup was super happy and relaxed after the walk. Yunwen is reliable, and genuinely cares about dogs. I’d 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a great walker!

I can’t say enough good things about Janalie! She was very attentive, reliable, and kind. I travelled for the 4th of July weekend and she came three times a day to walk my dog and feed her. She even gave me updates on my cat and lizard! She was always on time and gave me plenty of photos and detailed notes. She even offered to help if my plane got delayed/had any issues which was incredibly kind. She made me feel really reassured - thank you for that! If friends or family need someone responsible to watch over their pet, I would 100% recommend Janalie.
