This is the second time we’ve had Jen watch Bat, though this time was for much longer. She sent so many videos and pictures, which was great when we were feeling homesick for Bat, and we could see what a great time they had together. Bat was so well taken care of. About: I’ve grown up in a home with dogs and have always been comfortable around them. I had a Labrador before, so I’m very familiar with daily care, routines, and spending time with dogs. I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Animal Science in 2025 and also have some experience interning at a vet clinic, which helped me better understand animal health and behavior. Since summer 2024, I’ve been helping friends with dog sitting, walking, and boarding. I’ve done three long-term stays (over a month each), so I’m comfortable caring for dogs for extended periods and helping them settle in. I’m responsible, patient, and happy to send updates and photos while you’re away! I’m currently a student, but I have good availability in the mornings before 8am and in the evenings after 5pm, so I’m able to do walks and spend quality time with your dog during those hours. I’m also flexible on weekends and can adjust based on your pet’s routine. I’m happy to follow their usual schedule to make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for. I live in an apartment right now, but I make sure pets have a clean, safe, and comfortable space. I take dogs out for regular walks and make sure they get enough exercise, attention, and care throughout the day. I pay close attention to their behavior and always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding, routines, and any special needs. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease.

“Wow this is a game changer!!! My dog is 16 and lately it has been difficult leaving him overnight. I was a little hesitant to have a stranger stay overnight with Scruff. But when I met Kayla, all of concerns were squashed. Her and Scruffy immediately hit it off. Kayla is young and energetic, which definitely is a plus. Scruffy needs to get out moving around more 😏. When I reached out during my trip she responded quickly, without overwhelming me. Especially with Scruffy being older he has some quirks. He also can have accidents in the house or gets sick. Kayla reached out to understand if this was concerning. (It wasn't’). I have had friends who have called panicking. This caused me to either leave early or be stressed for the entirety of my trip. Kalya’s laid back and chill personality made me feel even more relaxed and comfortable that I had decided to go with her. When we got home the place looked great and Scruff wasn’t as anxious as he usually is when I get home, which was a relief 😅. Scuffy was happy to see me of course but I can tell he misses Kayla already. Without hesitation I recommend Kayla, to anyone with a pet.”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, especially cats. Over the years, I have become the go-to pet sitter within my friend group and regularly care for my friends’ cats while they are away on vacation. I also grew up informally pet sitting for neighbors and friends, giving me experience caring for pets in a variety of home environments and routines. I currently care for my own cat, Reami, a 3-year-old Ragamuffin whom I have raised since he was a kitten. I understand that pets — especially cats — can be sensitive to changes in routine, so I do my best to keep their schedule and environment consistent while their owners are away.
