We want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Heather for taking great of our pet yorkie Winnie while we were away. Winnie is 4.5 years old and we have never left him before, so finding the right person was very important to us. We wanted an experienced person who was willing to stay in our home for two weeks to care for Winnie. In Heather we found someone who is experienced, caring, consistently communicates and sends pictures. Heather kept us informed and responded to all our messages very quickly. That was greatly appreciated. It’s clear that Winnie loved having Heather take care of him. We came home to a happy pup and were impressed how clean our house was. We appreciate Heather’s attention, patience and support, as well as her willingness to stay in our home for two weeks. Everything was in perfect shape when we returned. It gave us peace of mind knowing Winnie was in experienced, capable and caring hands. Heather also went beyond just caring for Winnie by doing a variety of things around our house, including bringing in our mail daily. Heather did a great job.

About: I had a maltese puppy for 10 years from age 9 weeks onward and most recently had a shih tzu puppy that turned 1 on 5/28/25. In the oast I've had pets including hamsters, guinea pigs, chickens, and fish of my own. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so your pup will get lots of attention and care throughout the day. Here's what a typical day looks like when your dog is with me: 🐾 Morning (7am–10am): Potty break, breakfast, and a light walk or play session 🐾 Midday (11am–2pm): Walks, potty breaks, enrichment games, or just relaxing cuddle time 🐾 Afternoon (3pm–6pm): Another walk or active playtime in a safe, calm environment 🐾 Evening (7pm–9pm): Dinner, a final potty break, and winding down for the night I'm available for: ✅ Drop-in visits ✅ Dog walking ✅ Puppy care Weekend and holiday availability included! I’m happy to accommodate special routines, medications, or specific instructions your dog needs to feel comfortable and loved. When you trust me to care for your dog, I show up with love, respect, and attention to detail — all in the comfort of your dog’s familiar surroundings. 🐶 In-Home Peace of Mind: I care for pets in their own homes, where they feel most secure. About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, especially cats. Over the years, I have become the go-to pet sitter within my friend group and regularly care for my friends’ cats while they are away on vacation. I also grew up informally pet sitting for neighbors and friends, giving me experience caring for pets in a variety of home environments and routines. I currently care for my own cat, Reami, a 3-year-old Ragamuffin whom I have raised since he was a kitten. Reami has anxiety-related health issues that can contribute to urinary tract problems, so I am very familiar with providing attentive, patient, and consistent care for sensitive pets. Because of his needs, I understand the importance of maintaining a calm environment, monitoring behavior closely, sticking to routines, encouraging play and enrichment, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. In addition to caring for Reami, I have also helped care for my roommates’ cats in the past, including feeding, playtime, litter box maintenance, and general companionship. Through these experiences, I have become comfortable caring for cats with different personalities, energy levels, and temperaments — from shy and anxious cats to highly social and playful ones. While I mainly prefer cat sitting, I also have some experience with dogs, including walking friends’ dogs and taking them on hikes and outdoor outings. I am happy to provide patient, attentive care tailored to each pet’s personality and comfort level. As a sitter, I prioritize communication, reliability, cleanliness, and making sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment while their owners are away. I am a graduate student whose lab is only a 15 minute walk away from home. My schedule is extremely flexible and except for few meetings throughout the week, my schedule is fully up to me. I am also able to leave at any point for short breaks to take pets out for walks/ check up on them. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet I care for. I understand that pets — especially cats — can be sensitive to changes in routine, so I do my best to keep their schedule and environment consistent while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, litter box cleaning, playtime, exercise, and any specific routines or preferences. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well cared for. As the owner of an anxious cat with special care needs, I am very attentive to pets’ behavior, comfort, and stress levels. I value patience, cleanliness, reliability, and making sure every pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved.

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 16. Friends and family trust me to walk, feed and take care of their dogs. I am comfortable taking dogs for long walks around the neighborhood or to the dog park, and I have stayed in home as a pet sitter. My family has a dog and I am involved in her care and play time on a daily basis. I have a very flexible schedule and have lots of time for your pup. I am available for late morning and afternoon walks and playtime. I have an energetic 60 pound dog. I am used to walking a strong dog and can easily handle a dog that may pull. I am happy to walk your dog in your neighborhood and/or play in your yard. I will work with whatever routine your dog is accustomed to.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments since I was 18. Now working in the medical side, I am able to make sure pets get their medications (including insulin) appropriately. I am mostly able to care for pets during the weekends or at nights. My work schedule at the veterinarian keeps me busy during the weekdays. I am unfortunately not able to offer pet care at my personal home. I am more than willing to travel to a clients house to care for their pets in their most comfortable environment.

Arabelle was a joy to work with! She was meticulous in her planning and knowing what needed to be done for Floki, plus making sure she had all emergency numbers and what to do in case of an emergency. She made sure Floki was was very well cared for while we were away and even brought him a new ball to play with! He was walked, fed on time and played with in our yard with frequent communications so that we could see all of the fun he was having. I would highly recommend Arabelle to anyone that needs overnight care or even daily check ins. She was just what we needed and expected for our fur family and will be using her again for future day trips and longer vacations!

About: For the past 10 years, I have taken care of cats and dogs together within my household. I currently have three cats and three dogs, a part of my household which were raised from puppy and kitten to adult and senior cats and dogs. I am used to early morning and evening walks with my own pets and am currently free at any time during the week and weekends. I understand their need to run and be outside. There is plenty of time for daily walks and drop ins for your pets! I usually go to our pets home where they are most familiar and comfortable. I would not risk blending their pet environment to avoid possible issues.

We had to leave our goldendoodle for three days while out of state. She had not been left alone since being boarded at our vet 4 years ago, so we had concerns. Heather was wonderful! She came to our house twice before we left to learn our dog's habits and become familiar with her. Heather stayed at our home during our time away. She followed our dog's schedule to perfection (feeding time, potty time, nap time, bed time, play time, etc.). The day after our return, our dog was looking around for Heather. Heather also updated us regularly, including photos. I would recommend her highly, and hope to use her again.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my strong background in animal health and professional husbandry. Through my experience shadowing veterinarians, I’ve developed a trained eye for animal behavior and wellness. I know how to recognize the subtle signs of when a pet is feeling "off" or needs extra attention. I also have professional husbandry experience working with mice in a laboratory setting. This background means I am incredibly detail-oriented, strictly adhere to feeding and medication schedules, maintain rigorous hygiene protocols, and have a gentle touch with delicate or timid animals. I currently work remote for Yale as a PhD student, which allows me a great deal of flexibility to prioritize your pet's needs. On weekdays, I am fully available except maybe a few hours throughout the week for walks, playtime, and feedings. My weekends are completely open for overnight boarding, ensuring your pup is never left alone for long periods and receives constant companionship and care. My home is a 'pet-first' environment where safety and mental stimulation go hand-in-hand. For my two cats, I maintain a strict vertical-space setup and regular 'puzzle feeding' to keep them engaged. I am highly experienced in managing slow introductions and reading subtle body language to ensure all animals feel secure. I maintain a chemical-free cleaning routine to protect sensitive paws and noses, and I’m diligent about 'double-door' safety to prevent escapes. Whether it's ensuring fresh water fountains are clean or providing a quiet, crate-ready retreat, I treat every guest with the same meticulous care I give my own cats.

This was my second booking with Ashley, and there’s a reason I came back. I decided at the last minute that I needed a self-care day, and I immediately felt comfortable reaching out to her. I can’t stress enough my that I have a large dog that needs someone who can confidently handle his size, enthusiasm, and personality. Ashley understands him well and consistently does a great job caring for him. What I appreciate most is the peace of mind she gives me. I know Arlo is in good hands, and I never have to worry about how he is being cared for. She is dependable, trustworthy, and always respectful of my home. Finding someone you can trust with both your dog and your space is not easy, and Ashley has earned that trust. I will definitely continue using her services and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, quality pet care.

I was so pleased with Joo’s ability to connect with my 2 dogs. Both are rescues and have specific needs: Lizzie is fearful and very anxious; Quigley was a stray—perhaps for years—and is house trained only when his human is home. She handled both of their needs with compassion and kindness. They warmed up to Joo quickly. Joo sent my photos and videos of my kids while I was away. It was obvious that they were having a really good time. That put my mind at ease and a smile on my face.

Veronica is amazing no other words can describe her. She house sat and took care of our little Luna. She was patient, caring and loving toward her and they became best friends really fast. She went on daily walks with Luna fed her exactly as instructed, played with her and really she was just exceptional. Before we returned and at the time that she was supposed to take off, there was an 1.5 hour interval, first of all she was happy to stay but we asked that she should not because it was very late at night and we wanted to make sure she gets home safe but when she was leaving our Luna she was so sad to see her leave that she was howling! At that point I had found a competition as I have been the only person Luna has howled for so that says a lot about how much Luna loved her. She respected our home and when we got back everything was as we left it. I would say she is exceptional and look no further if you need your dog happy and safe.
