“Wow this is a game changer!!! My dog is 16 and lately it has been difficult leaving him overnight. I was a little hesitant to have a stranger stay overnight with Scruff. But when I met Kayla, all of concerns were squashed. Her and Scruffy immediately hit it off. Kayla is young and energetic, which definitely is a plus. Scruffy needs to get out moving around more 😏. When I reached out during my trip she responded quickly, without overwhelming me. Especially with Scruffy being older he has some quirks. He also can have accidents in the house or gets sick. Kayla reached out to understand if this was concerning. (It wasn't’). I have had friends who have called panicking. This caused me to either leave early or be stressed for the entirety of my trip. Kalya’s laid back and chill personality made me feel even more relaxed and comfortable that I had decided to go with her. When we got home the place looked great and Scruff wasn’t as anxious as he usually is when I get home, which was a relief 😅. Scuffy was happy to see me of course but I can tell he misses Kayla already. Without hesitation I recommend Kayla, to anyone with a pet.”

I currently work from home, so I have a pretty flexible routine, 5 days a week. I am available weekly and also weekends mostly anytime I follow each pet's routine, provide food and fresh water, ensure exercise and playtime, give plenty of attention, and keep owners updated regularly with texts and pictures!

About: I started dog walking in college, which naturally expanded to sitting. Other than the feeling of getting my degree, taking care of those sweet pets made my experience so pleasant. Community members have trusted me to not only make sure their pets are properly looked after, but that they make a new friend too. Befriending new animals is why I love this job! I have recently completed an MFA in Stage Management at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale and, now have plenty of time to take pups on walks or do sittings. I'm generally free most afternoons and evenings, with occasional morning availability. I am very attentive to a pet's needs, and will make sure to give them the love they want (and know when to back off if they'd rather be alone). Unfortunately I am not currently offering boarding for furry friends. Before visits/sitting I'd prefer to meet beforehand, to get used to the space and aquainted with the pet's routine.

About: I've raised and cared for several breeds of dogs, large and small for about 20 years. I am a true dog lover and I believe its important to connect with them. I am very attentive to their needs. Body rubs and ear scratches are unlimited. I have experience with special needs pups as well. I do have experience giving medications if needed. I once was a volunteer and foster parent with Yorkie 911 Rescue. I also have experience with very shy dogs and I have extreme patience. My home is quiet during most of the day for those pups who need total relaxation or for those senior pups who just prefers quiet. I also have experience grooming small dogs up to 15 pounds. I can structure my day around the dogs’ needs, including feeding, potty breaks, playtime, walks, rest periods, and plenty of attention. I can also provide additional supervision and care throughout the week based on each dog’s individual needs and routine. My balcony is a clean, secure, and dog-friendly space where dogs can safely enjoy fresh air and supervised outdoor time. It includes a designated potty area, enclosed with strong netting with chicken wire. along with comfortable cots and lounging furniture where dogs can relax, have fresh air and sun bathe, The balcony is located directly outside my home office, where I work, allowing me to keep a close eye on the dogs throughout the day. Dogs are never left unattended on the balcony. I also have cameras throughout the apartment for additional monitoring and pet gates closing off forbidden areas. The space is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards, providing small/medium dogs with a comfortable and secure area to relax, play, and get some fresh air.

About: I distinguish myself as an animal sitter through my early experience rescuing a troubled dog, transforming her into the sweetest companion through patience and training. I specialize in teaching basic skills, as well as fun activities like hide and seek and speak. Additionally, I'm well-versed in providing specialized care, such as frequent ear care and brushing and endless belly rubs. I also have experience caring for puppies, I understand their need for frequent bathroom trips and getting out their random bursts of energy. I work full time the best times for me are: Monday-Thursday before 8:30am and after 4:00pm. Fridays I can be more flexible. Weekends work well anytime :) My priority is always to create a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for every pet in my care. During walks, I would use the owner’s preferred leash and harness, stay alert to our surroundings, and follow their instructions regarding routes, routines, and interactions with other animals. When caring for pets in their home, I would respect their familiar routines, ensure doors and gates are securely closed, keep food and potentially harmful items out of reach, and provide plenty of attention and companionship. I would also send regular updates and photos to pet owners so they can feel confident knowing their furry family members are safe, happy, and well cared for while they’re away.

About: I can't imagine my life without animals. My family has owned several different species of animals since I was born, and I now own a standard poodle and domestic short hair cat. I understand they are not just an animal, but a member of the family who needs to be treated as such. I am comfortable walking, grooming, and feeding any size and aged dog. Walking can either be at a slow pace, or jogging, I just have to be informed prior. If I am dog sitting, I will be sure to give extra pets and loving to each animal, and can also groom the dog if requested. Looking for consistent clients.
