“Beyond amazing. Jassmyne is sooo flexible, she was so kind to our girls and home. She exceeded our expectations. Her communication was excellent. She was punctual and helpful with all the food/attention each dog needed. If you are looking for a sitter, stop! Jassmyne is your girl!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my strong background in animal health and professional husbandry. Through my experience shadowing veterinarians, I’ve developed a trained eye for animal behavior and wellness. I know how to recognize the subtle signs of when a pet is feeling "off" or needs extra attention. I also have professional husbandry experience working with mice in a laboratory setting. This background means I am incredibly detail-oriented, strictly adhere to feeding and medication schedules, maintain rigorous hygiene protocols, and have a gentle touch with delicate or timid animals. I currently work remote for Yale as a PhD student, which allows me a great deal of flexibility to prioritize your pet's needs. On weekdays, I am fully available except maybe a few hours throughout the week for walks, playtime, and feedings. My weekends are completely open for overnight boarding, ensuring your pup is never left alone for long periods and receives constant companionship and care. My home is a 'pet-first' environment where safety and mental stimulation go hand-in-hand. For my two cats, I maintain a strict vertical-space setup and regular 'puzzle feeding' to keep them engaged. I am highly experienced in managing slow introductions and reading subtle body language to ensure all animals feel secure. I maintain a chemical-free cleaning routine to protect sensitive paws and noses, and I’m diligent about 'double-door' safety to prevent escapes. Whether it's ensuring fresh water fountains are clean or providing a quiet, crate-ready retreat, I treat every guest with the same meticulous care I give my own cats.
“Katelyn took great care of my cat and bunny while we were away. They are both quite needy with attention and I could tell they were both very happy for her visits. Definitely recommend!”

“Andrea is wonderful! She was able to help on a very short notice and even extended the time of her visit. She was so sweet and understanding of my crazy 6mo old puppy! We can’t wait to use Andrea again”

About: I have dog sat for multiple animals. I’ve had experience with applying medicine, taking them on walks, and bathing them. Volunteered at animal shelters many times. I’m currently a full time student, however I do not have classes on Friday and free most afternoons. I plan accordingly and take pride in that! I’m very protective of my animals at home and I enjoy watching over them! I make sure that they are comfortable and feel like they’re good!
“Alyssa was a great pet-sitter for our 3 cats. One of our cats needs medication and she was able to successfully give it to her each visit. She also went above and beyond in caring for all of our cats and spent extra time with them while we were gone. They were very happy when we got home! I would definitely book Alyssa again.”

“Jen was absolutely amazing with our cat Cleo! She sent lots of pictures and videos and made us feel very comfortable leaving our baby with her. She was great about cleaning the litter & keeping the food and water topped up, and she gave Cleo lots of cuddles and playtime and we could tell Cleo felt so safe with her! Jen is a stellar sitter!”

“Melissa was a wonderful cat sitter while I was out of town! I was worried because I am new to town but she sent me plenty of pictures and updates. I’m very grateful and will definitely book her again!”

“Leah is a cat whisperer. She does such a great job of giving my pet the medication he needs when I'm away. It makes me feel at ease knowing he will does well in her hands. Very reliable.”

About: I have spent 10 years of my life taking care of my own animals and families pet. On top of schooling to provide the best care possible. Currently part time, my availability is Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Hours can be interchangeable; never be afraid to ask :). Completely free those days to be attentive to your pets. I’ve had dogs all my life. I know how to play with animals for maximum exercise, can follow dietary instructions and have a deep rooted love for all species. Dogs are the babies in my home and receive the utmost care and love. Never worry about other dogs in the home or mistreatment from others.

“Mikayla and Justin are simply great. They took great care of my dog Thelma, who can be very skiddish as she is a rescue. Mikayla and Justin spent ample time letting Thelma warm up to them before taking her out for a walk. I would 10/10 recommend them for any pet care and I will definitely be booking them again for Thelma!”

About: I’ve had pets around pretty much my whole life, so taking care of animals feels really familiar to me. I grew up with dogs and helped with all the usual day‑to‑day stuff. About five years ago my family adopted a cat, which definitely taught me a lot about how different cats can be and what they need. Since moving to Connecticut, I’ve also taken care of friends’ cats and gotten to know a bunch of different personalities. I’ve been around so many pets over the years that stepping into a new routine feels pretty natural. I’m excited to meet your pet and make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and understood while you’re away. Being a graduate student gives me a lot of flexibility day‑to‑day. I do tend to be in the lab roughly 9–5 on weekdays, but that’s not a hard rule — I can usually set my own hours or work from home when I need to. With enough notice, I can usually open up my schedule for pretty much any time of day, especially for dog walking or check‑ins. Weekdays after 5pm are often the easiest by default, and weekends depend on what I’ve planned, but I’m generally able to move things around. And honestly, there are plenty of days where my schedule is wide open and I can help out on short notice too. I live by myself in an apartment, so it’s easy for me to adjust to whatever your pet needs. Friends’ pets have been over plenty of times, so my place is already pet‑friendly. I’m happy to follow whatever routine your pet is used to so things feel familiar for them. For walks and drop‑ins, I can adjust to whatever your and your pets needs are. I really enjoy getting outside with dogs, so walks are something I’m always happy to make time for. The only downside is that I don’t have a yard, but I make up for it with regular walks, check‑ins, and paying attention to what your pet needs to feel comfortable.

New Haven dog parents share their Rover experiences
Christopher did a fantastic job taking care of Boomer over the past two days. He was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Boomer was comfortable and happy. I really appreciated the updates and the attention he gave throughout the stay. I’d absolutely recommend Christopher to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter!

Had such a great experience with Melissa this weekend! While she had walked Nala in the past, this was the first time she stayed over while we were away. Not surprisingly she took amazing care of Nala and was so attentive, especially with her post-op care, and kept us updated, it truly meant a lot to us. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Nala (and our home!) were in such good hands. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone kind, reliable, and trustworthy!

Jassmyne has been the absolute biggest help! She’s always extremely communicative and easy going, and ALWAYS treats our pup with the greatest care. I am so grateful we found her and have someone so amazing to take care of our girl. I would recommend her to anybody!

Crystal was truly a miracle worker with my boy Dino. He became a bit stressed after a recent vet visit and then more so after I wasn’t home. Thanks to Crystal I had no worries. She reassured me after each visit with plenty of updates and photos. She went above and beyond the call of any sitter to keep Dino safe, clean and comfortable.

Rick is absolutely amazing. We have two sweet, but anxious pups and they were immediately in love with him. Rick was attentive to them, kept us informed, and was so understanding/respectful of maintaining the same environment for the pups that we try to keep while at home. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dogsitter or walker!
