About: A Northwest CT native, I've grown up with dogs and cats my entire life. Our household believed in giving a home to rescue dogs and training them so they could feel safe and stable in our home. And as a passionate Social Worker, I'm ready to foster my empathy and compassion to provide your pet a supportive environment too, so they can be their best self for you, their owner! While I live in an apartment and cannot own a pet at the moment, I look forward to the opportunity to spend time again with animals and help out my community by being a committed dog walker/sitter. As you can see by my photos, dogs have joined me walking, hiking, backpacking, swimming, and even trail running! I'm a very active individual so if you have a high-energy dog who needs more activity, please let me know and we can work something out. I'm currently a full-time student in New Haven, so I have flexibility and can easily travel or stay in nearby areas. During the fall semester, I will be out of the house and in New Haven during the day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for 8 hours at a time (9am-5pm). When it comes to caring for pets in your home, I would like to gain as much understanding about the routines your pets have in your home, your training, and learn more about their personality, so I can best support them while you're away.

“Quinn has looked after three cats for me, in two different locations, as well as my dog. She always did an excellent job at being responsive to their needs, provided them with proper attention, and has taken excellent care of them. My dog always came home from walks with her in great spirits, having fully gotten his fill of the park before heading back to the apartment. You would be hard-pressed to find a better person to look after your pet. She's also a great communicator, taking plenty of photos. Whenever she's looked after my pets, it always felt like I haven't even left them!”

About: I have 6 years of dog walking and cat sitting experience. I'm used to taking care of dogs of all sizes as well as puppies and their various needs. I just moved to New Haven and I'm looking to start caring for pets here! I will treat your pet the way I would treat my own and would make sure to care for them in a responsible manner. As a pet owner myself, I know how important responsible care is. I have two cats, so I totally understand the concerns when hiring a new person to care for your loved pet! Due to my cats, I'm not able to accept boarders at the moment, other than one small-medium dog (who is fine with cats) for weekends only. I am a local graduate student so I apologize in advance if I can't make certain requested times. I can't wait to work with you and your lovely pets! I am a full-time graduate student but have a flexible schedule. I do not have a car so would only be able to service requests in New Haven. I'm well aware of environmental risks associated with dogs and cats. I'm overly cautious about windows expecially with cats. In addition, I'm responsible with the environment that either puppies or kittens occupy; to not leave food around or small objects/threads that they may mistakenly ingest.

“This was Zulei’s second time taking care of Kobe and I couldn’t be happier! She’s so attentive and sends 3-4 pictures per walk with detailed write ups. Kobe had an upset stomach for a few days while we were on vacation and Zulei Took extra great care of him—I’m so grateful and will definitely leave Kobe in her care in the future.”
