About: I've looked after animals since I was a kid. I love cats and dogs alike and would look after them for loved ones and neighbors. I have a flexible schedule right now. I am currently looking for a more stable job but I have lots of experience working with animals and I know how to handle them with respect and safety. I like to visit the dogs in there own homes and take them for walks. I let to dog tell me what they need usually depending on energy levels. If they have a lot of energy I'll take them out longer or if they don't want to move I would take them as long as it took for them to relieve themselves and then I will engage them in play.

“Garrett is hands down the best person to trust with your pet. We left our 7 year old, lively & sociable shepherd mix alone for the first time when we went to Portugal for 10 days. This was the first time Buster had been left with anyone outside the family, and to say I was nervous was an understatement. Garrett went above and beyond, sending messages with pictures and a brief check in, reassuring us that Buster was fine - the pictures gave us real evidence that he was indeed a happy camper, and honestly some of the photos made it seem like he was having a better time than if we’d been home! About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, especially cats. Over the years, I have become the go-to pet sitter within my friend group and regularly care for my friends’ cats while they are away on vacation. I also grew up informally pet sitting for neighbors and friends, giving me experience caring for pets in a variety of home environments and routines. I currently care for my own cat, Reami, a 3-year-old Ragamuffin whom I have raised since he was a kitten. Reami has anxiety-related health issues that can contribute to urinary tract problems, so I am very familiar with providing attentive, patient, and consistent care for sensitive pets. Because of his needs, I understand the importance of maintaining a calm environment, monitoring behavior closely, sticking to routines, encouraging play and enrichment, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away.
