About: Hi! I am an animal lover looking forward to taking care of your pets. I am a graduate student at Yale and my schedule doesn't allow me to have pets so this is my outlet:) I love all animals on earth and live under the delusion that they all love me back haha. My dream is to retire on a farm with lots of animals! I am a graduate student, so I am only available on days that I don't have classes or on weekends. I am pretty good with keeping my Rover calendar updated! My apartment is at 435 Whitney Avenue. My roommate has a very sweet, old male dog, so I can ony take pups that get along with other dogs!
“This was Nicole's second time sitting for my cat, and she was absolutely wonderful. Nicole is so sweet with my cat, easy to communicate with, and great all around. I recommend her highly and will definitely book with her again!”

“Emily dropped in once a day to check on our two cats for several days while we were away. She is EXCELLENT with communication. We never had a doubt that our cats werent getting enough love with Emily. 10/10 would ask Emily to cat-sit again! Thanks Emily!”

“Carole was wonderful with Nemo, same as our first booking with her. I was so glad when, facing last-minute travel plans, she was still available & willing to do a few check-ins. She’s a true professional, flexible, and caring. Can’t recommend her enough.”

“Rick is absolutely amazing. We have two sweet, but anxious pups and they were immediately in love with him. Rick was attentive to them, kept us informed, and was so understanding/respectful of maintaining the same environment for the pups that we try to keep while at home. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dogsitter or walker!”

“Jassmyne is amazing and did a great job with our fur babies! She communicated and coordinated so well with us which gave us so much peace. She will be my go to girl from now on. I recommend her 1000/10! So friendly and our furbabies loved her!”

“Sophia was a wonderful sitter, communicative and flexible and caring even amidst a blizzard. We’re grateful for all that she managed on behalf of our pet and home and would highly recommend her!”

“Raimy was very kind and sweet to my two dogs on our meet and greet. She seemed to build good rapport with both my dogs, even my shy dog, Teddy. I look forward to using her for future house sitting needs.”

“This was our second time having Melissa cat sit, and again she took great care of our cats! She gave medications and had no problems working with our somewhat difficult cat. I always hope she’s available when we travel!”

“Olivia was fantastic! Don't hesitate to use her to watch any of your furry friends! She was quick to respond to any requests, very responsive and sent me pics of my dog each time she came. Highly recommend!!”

“Sarah was amazing in so many ways and stayed very communicative throughout my 2+ weeks of absence where I left my cat in her care! There were always very detailed updates provided timely after every visit which went above and beyond what I had initially expected. Would highly recommend! Thank you so much 🙏🏻🫶🏻!”

About: Hello! My name is Noelle. I will treat your pet with the care that I provide my own animals, which is like family. I value safety, enrichment, exercise and fun! I know how freeing it is to leave and trust that your pet(s) will be safe and happy. I’ve been taking care of animals in my home since I was a child. In the past five years, I’ve been a go to pet-sitter for my friends and neighbors. These experiences have been a variety of breeds from 6 to 60 lbs and ages 1 to 16 years! I love building a bond with animals, no matter the temperament. My friend’s newly rescued lab mix went from being so nervous to get her harness on for a walk that it took two hours of coaxing, but by the end of the weekend, she was snuggling with me on the couch! I loved dog sitting so much that I rescued a chihuahua mix three years ago. He came to me untrained and very nervous about going outside so I have experience with basic training skills and modifying the training session for his needs. Additionally, my dog was very reactive to other dogs, and now he can meet other dogs on the sidewalk! Because I only use positive association methods (treats, praise, ball, etc.), this experience has expanded my capacity for patience and care towards other animals. I love my dog so much and I can sympathize with the experience of trusting your beloved pet to a new person, and I love to send photos of your pup during your trip, if that is what you want! I’m currently writing my dissertation for my Ph.D. at Yale in neurodevelopment, and I have my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Penn State. I needed to take some downtime while I’m finishing my degree so wanted a flexible job that allows me to spend time with dogs! I’m open to other animals too. I’m currently writing my dissertation for my Ph.D, which provides a flexible schedule for pet care and allows me to work from anywhere with wifi! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety by keeping unsafe objects out of the pet’s reach, following pet-specific instructions (medications, routines, leashed walks unless a yard is fenced), and monitoring their well-being for signs of distress. Trust is essential, so I respect my clients' homes, provide regular updates, and build a bond with their pets through patience and consistency. I also ensure a comfortable environment by sticking to routines and providing enrichment!
“Julia did a great job of taking care of my dog Louis. My house and the yard were in perfect condition when I returned. Julia provided lots of updates and even cleaned up Louis's food and water station. Will be rebooking Julia and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a walker or sitter.”
About: I've looked after animals since I was a kid. I love cats and dogs alike and would look after them for loved ones and neighbors. I have a flexible schedule right now. I am currently looking for a more stable job but I have lots of experience working with animals and I know how to handle them with respect and safety. I like to visit the dogs in there own homes and take them for walks. I let to dog tell me what they need usually depending on energy levels. If they have a lot of energy I'll take them out longer or if they don't want to move I would take them as long as it took for them to relieve themselves and then I will engage them in play.
“Diana was excellent to work with, from beginning to end. We had a relatively short timeline before going out of town but Diana was very prompt in her communication, notes about our dog and the walks they went on were clear, and we felt very comfortable with her coming into our home while away. We would definitely work with Diana again in the future. Highly recommended.”

“Kelli was exactly what we are looking for! She followed all of our instructions and made some helpful suggestions that improved the life of our cat without being imposing. She even brought some new litter when we ran out! And she was able to provide insulin injections with very minor instruction. I will continue to trust her with the life and well being of our cat.”

“Natalie was GREAT when I had a last minute cat drop in booking!! She followed all instructions perfectly and was very communicative and made me feel at ease!! She also provided tons of pictures and provided very thorough updates. I would definitely book again and I am sure my cat loved her!”

East Rock pet parents share their Rover experiences
I had an outstanding experience with Lee. When my scheduled sitter canceled Lee was available at the last minute to provide coverage for my fur babies. Lee provided the time, attention and affection to my Dino, Poppy & Trish. Lee took best care and followed my instructions. Even went above and beyond to tidy up before I returned. Thank you so much Lee - I know they were the happiest bunch to have you.

Azeen was wonderful! We were away for a week and she came in everyday to check in on our sweet girl Ruby. Azeen left detailed comments and was very communicative through the whole week. She even was able to come during a snow storm (greatly appreciative) to make sure our Ruby girl was safe. We would definitely have Azeen help out again!

Crystal was truly a miracle worker with my boy Dino. He became a bit stressed after a recent vet visit and then more so after I wasn’t home. Thanks to Crystal I had no worries. She reassured me after each visit with plenty of updates and photos. She went above and beyond the call of any sitter to keep Dino safe, clean and comfortable.

As always Leah came through for us when we last mintue needed to go out of town for a funeral. Our elderly cat Booger seems to be happier when she comes to see him. It is great to know that our little old man is being cared for and in good company when we can't be here. We appreciate all that she does for him and he clearly seems to love having a new friend visit him.
Rick is absolutely amazing. We have two sweet, but anxious pups and they were immediately in love with him. Rick was attentive to them, kept us informed, and was so understanding/respectful of maintaining the same environment for the pups that we try to keep while at home. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dogsitter or walker!
