“Milo did a great job watching my cat, consistent keeping him company and taking care of them. This person is reliable, and I would book Milo again in a heartbeat.”

“Kelli was a great cat-sitter for our three cats. She was dedicated and made sure to spend time with all of them. One of our cats needs medication twice a day and she was able to administer it to her easily. She also played with our two younger cats, who love attention. When we came home, they appeared well taken care of. Would definitely book her again!”

“Jen is just the best. She’s super reliable, really really kind and conscientious, and our cat Lin loves her. We’re repeat clients, and we’d trust Jen with our cat anytime!”

“Carole was amazing! She sent thorough updates about my cats while I was gone, and they warmed up to her easily- even my shy girl. I didn’t feel at all worried about my cats or the apartment while I was away. She is very respectful and trustworthy. I highly recommend Carole!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my strong background in animal health and professional husbandry. Through my experience shadowing veterinarians, I’ve developed a trained eye for animal behavior and wellness. I know how to recognize the subtle signs of when a pet is feeling "off" or needs extra attention. I also have professional husbandry experience working with mice in a laboratory setting. This background means I am incredibly detail-oriented, strictly adhere to feeding and medication schedules, maintain rigorous hygiene protocols, and have a gentle touch with delicate or timid animals. I currently work remote for Yale as a PhD student, which allows me a great deal of flexibility to prioritize your pet's needs. On weekdays, I am fully available except maybe a few hours throughout the week for walks, playtime, and feedings. My weekends are completely open for overnight boarding, ensuring your pup is never left alone for long periods and receives constant companionship and care. My home is a 'pet-first' environment where safety and mental stimulation go hand-in-hand. For my two cats, I maintain a strict vertical-space setup and regular 'puzzle feeding' to keep them engaged. I am highly experienced in managing slow introductions and reading subtle body language to ensure all animals feel secure. I maintain a chemical-free cleaning routine to protect sensitive paws and noses, and I’m diligent about 'double-door' safety to prevent escapes. Whether it's ensuring fresh water fountains are clean or providing a quiet, crate-ready retreat, I treat every guest with the same meticulous care I give my own cats.
“Emily dropped in once a day to check on our two cats for several days while we were away. She is EXCELLENT with communication. We never had a doubt that our cats werent getting enough love with Emily. 10/10 would ask Emily to cat-sit again! Thanks Emily!”

About: I rescued a very temperamental dog and we have learned a lot from each other. Waffle loves her walks and I would love to extend that joy to your dog. I’m retired and would love to extend my love of dogs to others and help them out with daily life. I know how much Waffle loves her walks. I will not be boarding just doing walks but Waffle is very cared for and I would make sure on my walks that all the dogs will be cared for.
“Kelsey is great! She takes my black lab out weekly, and Kay is always so happy to see her. She makes sure she goes to the bathroom and gets a good walk in - highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had several large breed dogs since I was a child. I am comfortable handling dogs that pull and are like little tanks. My rottie used to stop and sniff everything, and he set our pace on walks. I’m an adjunct English professor, so I can also help your pets with their college admission essays.I am open all summer, but will be teaching in the evenings this fall. I can’t currently care for your pets in my apartment, because my cats said no, but I will be respectful and careful in your home.
“I had an outstanding experience with Lee. When my scheduled sitter canceled Lee was available at the last minute to provide coverage for my fur babies. Lee provided the time, attention and affection to my Dino, Poppy & Trish. Lee took best care and followed my instructions. Even went above and beyond to tidy up before I returned. Thank you so much Lee - I know they were the happiest bunch to have you.”

“Jessica was very accommodating with my relatively short notice trip. One of my cats can be very shy but he felt comfortable enough to come for most of her visits. Everything looked great when I returned home. I would definitely use Jessica again!”

“Our cats were cared for like they were Mary Rose's own! Excellent communication before, during, and after her stays. Our space was left clean and tidy. Mary Rose even won the favor of our shy gray cat and engaged her with a favorite toy!!”

About: **Moving Out of New Haven end of June 2026** I've been a cat mom for 5+ years and a dog aunt for 6+ years. Earning a cat's love and a dog's cuddle are both incredibly rewarding experiences that I've been blessed with many times. I hope to experience such love with your loved ones! I am currently unemployed so Monday through Friday is generally flexible besides a few commitments that are consistent each week. For weekends, I'm typically most flexible on Sundays. I typically start my days at 8am and end around 8pm but again, the hours are flexible- please just reach out! I'm a homebody so to get some fresh air, I run around downtown New Haven 3x a week for 2-3 miles (generally Mon, Wed, & Fri). On days I don't run, I go on 5-10min walks. When I'm not job hunting, I am either baking bread, knitting, or watching anime. I am unavailable on: Mondays & Wednesdays after 6PM, Tuesdays between 5-7PM, Fridays between 4PM-7:30PM Most Saturdays (family & partner visit often!) I like to meet every cat/dog parent(s) beforehand, even if it is just for a few minutes. This helps me understand what is expected of me as the caretaker and if there is anything for me to be aware of. For example, I have a fur nephew who eats anything so he has to walk with a muzzle and I've had a fur niece who takes specific medications at different times of the day. I also always love seeing the parents with their loved ones because it gives me an idea of what type of interactions I'd be having with their loved ones. I care about cleanliness and will make sure the home is left exactly how you leave it. I also respect any dietary restrictions if there are any in the household. Lastly, as a cat mom herself, I care about receiving communication from those who are taking care of my beloved, so I enjoy updating parents with photos and how their loved ones are doing. Please let me know if this is something you'd like me to do!
“Chris was a lifesaver! I needed a cat sitter last minute and he promptly responded, went to see my cat, fed her, played with her, and sent me pictures. Thank you Chris!”

“I couldn’t have been more thankful for the service Bailee provided. She is a very caring individual and you can tell she has a love for animals. I felt relaxed and comfortable while being away from my fur baby. As this was the first trip I have been able to take I will be definitely rebooking with Bailee in the future! She was an amazing provider and very informative! Followed all directions perfectly!”

“Andrea is wonderful! She was able to help on a very short notice and even extended the time of her visit. She was so sweet and understanding of my crazy 6mo old puppy! We can’t wait to use Andrea again”

Dwight pet parents share their Rover experiences
Carrie was a fantastic sitter for our two cats. She played with high-energy kitten every time she visited, and she made sure to pay careful attention and give love to our older cat as well. Both of our cats seemed very happy and content when we returned home!

Leah was an excellent cat sitter. She initiated a meet and greet before the booking, which was nice. After that, Leah was very responsive through the app and followed all the instructions. Would definitely book her again, especially since my cat seemed very happy for her visits.

James is everything you want from a dog sitter. He's reliable, responsive, highly competent and also just a really nice guy. He loves dogs and the outdoors so he's a perfect fit for my lab, Woody. I feel completely comfortable leaving Woody for extended periods and long trips, knowing that James is keeping a close eye on him. I highly recommend James! Betsey
Sarah did great with my cat! My cat is an excitable one-year-old with a strong penchant for some rougher play, so he can be a tricky cat to watch. I was really impressed with the way Sarah adapted to my cat’s moods, and figured out how to manage his quirks even just over the course of a weekend. I would absolutely trust Sarah with my cat again.
Andrea is the best! This is my second time using her to take care of my cat, and I’m so thankful. She even had some issues with getting into my building (due to circumstances out of her control) but was super patient as she waited for me to get back to her. Becoming a go-to pet sitter!

Jasie took great care of our cat. From the pictures, we could tell that our cat enjoyed her company and warmed up to her quickly. She was super communicative and took awesome pictures. I highly recommend her and will definitely keep her in mind for future bookings.

Had such a great experience with Melissa this weekend! While she had walked Nala in the past, this was the first time she stayed over while we were away. Not surprisingly she took amazing care of Nala and was so attentive, especially with her post-op care, and kept us updated, it truly meant a lot to us. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Nala (and our home!) were in such good hands. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone kind, reliable, and trustworthy!
