“Jae is such a wonderful sitter for our cats! She is patient with their moods and has built amazing trust with them. Her responsiveness and care makes it so that we have total peace of mind when we need to leave our little ones. She’s the best!”
“Karina is excellent. She went above and beyond taking care of Nikki during the drop in visits. We will definitely use Karina again to care for Nikki the next time we travel. I strongly recommend Karina.”

“We had confidence in Heather looking after our cats from the moment we met her at the meet and greet. She did an amazing job looking after the cats sending us updates and keeping us informed on how they were doing. We definitely will be using her again when we go away.”

About: I've lived with dogs since I was four, and have seriously cared for dogs since I was 12. My first dog lived to a grand age of 18, with loving care and judicious pet care. I currently care for 3 dogs at my home, one of whom is a large breed, and trained her from a stubborn attitude (Anatolian Shepherd-Great Pyrenees mix). My partners and friends all trust me greatly with their pets and rely on me for pet care. I currently work part time, and can work my hours around when you need me. I can stay all day with your dogs and provide necessary attention. I am comfortable with dogs of various sizes and temperaments. I can provide necessary attention, walk, crate, and clean up after your pets. I can also administer oral medication.
About: I’m a mother of 3 children and two fur babies, a Labrador and a tuxedo cat. In addition to caring for my own pets over the years, I have some experience with foster care as well as veterinary assistance. My schedule is flexible as I am a stay at home parent. Daytime is best but I am also available for night check ins and weekends. My pets are very friendly but I will respect the wishes of the pet owner on how much exposure they prefer their pet to have to other people or pets, as well as any other safety concerns they may have. I live on a low traffic cul-de-sac street, ideal for walking.

“Katherine was amazing, especially with my senior dog! She gave him his medication at the correct time, took him on lots of walks, and dealt with his separation anxiety well. I could tell she really cared and that they both enjoyed each other's company. She sent tons of cute pictures! She also did a great job of feeding my cat, who predictably decided to hide every time Katherine visited. But she wasn't alarmed by the lack of cat sightings and just reported on her feedings and how much food she had eaten between visits. I would definitely hire Katherine to petsit again! She was great!”

“Kate was amazing! She kept us updated throughout the entire visit, which gave us peace of mind knowing our dog was in good hands. We truly appreciate her care and communication.”

“Alyssa was a great pet-sitter for our 3 cats. One of our cats needs medication and she was able to successfully give it to her each visit. She also went above and beyond in caring for all of our cats and spent extra time with them while we were gone. They were very happy when we got home! I would definitely book Alyssa again.”

“Rivers new favorite dog sitter! Amanda took amazing care of our pup and we absolutely loved seeing the photos she sent with each visit! Will definitely book again and recommend to our friends 😊”

“Jacqueline took great care of our cat when we were away for a week. She is super nice and was always on time and our cat really enjoyed her company while we were gone.”

“Jessica did drop ins for our little kitten, Mipha, while we were gone for a few days. She took excellent care of her, played and gave her affection. Throughout the whole time we were gone she sent photos and gave helpful updates about how Mipha was during each drop in. She was great! We'll definitely select her again!”

“I cannot stress enough how wonderful, caring, and kind Moe is. We trust her 100% with our dog and wouldn't use anyone else to take care of Ruby. We truly appreciate you Moe!”

About: Great to meet you! I have over 14 years of experience caring for a wide variety of animals ranging from dogs to cats to snakes, bearded dragons, and even ants (yes I know)... and the list goes on! Ever since I can remember, I've always loved animals (dogs especially). To fulfill my wish to have a pet, I began volunteering at a local animal shelter and would frequently visit just to spend time with some of the animals and give them some love. There, I was able to learn how to better care for our furry friends, both elderly and young. Being able to play with them was just a bonus for me! While your dog is with me they will have access to a big fenced yard to play in and enjoy. If you'd prefer them to stay in their natural environment, that's fine too! Whatever makes them most comfortable, I'm happy to provide. Every pet's needs & wants are different, which I take the time to acknowledge when caring for them. My top priority is making sure your pets are safe, loved, and content while you're away. Feel free to message me if you have any questions and I'd be happy to help! Thanks for considering me! I love to start our mornings off with a nice hike or walk at my nearby beach, typically about 2 miles. The afternoons will do a shorter walk and have some outdoor playtime. Ultimately, our day will be reflective of what your pups specific needs are. Working from home, your pets will get plenty of time and attention in my care! While boarding, they will have access to roam and play about in a fenced in yard under my supervision. Rest assured, I will take care of your babies as if they were my own. Making sure also to give you daily updates so you know your pup is well cared for!

I currently work at a veterinary hospital as a receptionist and I love my day being filled with many furry friends. I ensure pets develop good habits from the start, and I also provide attentive care for senior dogs, catering to their unique needs. My home offers a safe, playful environment, and I prioritize regular exercise and mental stimulation. With my flexible schedule, I can accommodate last-minute bookings, and I offer photo updates so you can see your furry friend’s adventures! I currently work during the week, but I have full availability on the weekends to accommodate your furry best friend and their needs. I’m also able to accommodate boarding during the week as we are a very pet friendly household and there’s always someone at home to ensure your pet feels comfortable and well taken care of. I have a fenced yard, and the most adorable labradoodle at home to keep your best friend company. I’m also able to provide a crate if needed, and I am able to take your pets on as many walks as their heart desires.
“Aisaia comes often to check in on my dogs while I’m at work. He’s always reliable, on time, and spends a little extra time with my dogs. I would definitely recommend him and will continue to book with him!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Orange
Heather was phenomenal! Jasper warmed up to her right away, which is surprising! Jasper gave me a kiss when I came home so I guess he doesn’t want to trade me in yet! The litter was clean and Heather took the time to vacuum up the litter and fur that Jasper inevitably leaves all over. We are so pleased with the care she took and the love and time she took with him. Thank you so much Heather!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
