“Samantha was very communicative and took adorable pictures of our pup. She also was kind enough to come and meet our special needs girl before the first drop in. I highly recommend her!”
“Lindsay was so great with my cat and dog! She gave them lots of attention and helped look after them (litter box, food, water, bathroom break etc!) She was also very communicative as well as friendly. I appreciate her helping us out the last two days and will definitely be asking her to come back.”

“This is our first Rover experience and it went very well. Christyna looked after our cat for a week. She helped brush our cat’s teeth, wrote up detailed Rover card, and took good pictures. Will definitely rebook if we are out of town again.”

“Rhonda was great! She took care of my two kitties while I went out of town for the holiday weekend. Fran has daily meds, which Rhonda took care of with ease. Charlie is a little more skittish around new people; again, Ronda handled beautifully... made sure to see (find) him each day and left him some treats. Great communication... daily chats and pics of the cats. Even asked about my broom and dustpan (so she could sweep up some litter which got out of the box). I recommend Rhonda and would be happy to have her care for my fur babies anytime I'm away in the future.”
“We are so grateful to have Kristin available to take care of our Isabella again! She takes such great care of her and sends detailed notes and pics. So happy we met a wonderful sitter we can trust! Thank you!”

I am patient, dependable, and attentive to each animal's unique needs, and I am confident in applying my previous caregiving skills to provide compassionate, reliable care for animals of all sizes and temperaments. I’m currently self employed and working on a remote schedule that better suits my needs. I am available for care taking at most hours during a full time schedule. Having a dog and cats of my own I am very familiar with crate and potty training, cleaning litter boxes, feeding, comfort, overall training and care.

“Josh was a fantastic sitter, and we had a great experience with him. He did drop-in visit and then house sat for us and took excellent care of our cat. What really stood out was how quickly he bonded with our cat who is shy and usually hides from people. Josh was reliable, communicative, and clearly very comfortable around animals. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat and a house that was just as we left it. Overall, Josh did a wonderful job, and we would definitely hire him again in the future!”

“Bella is so kind and easy to get a long with! One of our dogs has medical needs and the other requires some patience and she took such care of our girls. So communicative and friendly, felt so comfortable having her stay and will continue to work with her!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I helped care for my family’s Shih Tzu, Kelly, who lived a long life and gave me experience caring for an older dog and understanding the extra patience and attention senior pets need. More recently, I had my Frenchie, Tyson, who recently passed away. We spent so much time together going on daily 3-mile walks, cuddling, playing, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Caring for him taught me how important consistency, love, patience, and attentiveness are when it comes to pets. What sets me apart is the genuine care and connection I build with animals. I understand that pets are family, and I treat them with the same love, comfort, and attention I gave my own dogs. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just calm companionship, I’m happy to adapt to their personality and routine. I’ve always had a dog in my life, and I truly enjoy the companionship, activity, and happiness they bring every day. My goal is to make pets feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy being active and spending time with dogs. I’m available every morning for walks and again after 5:30 PM for afternoon/evening walks. I love starting the day with long walks and giving pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. I’m also available for boarding on Fridays through Sundays. On weekends, I enjoy spending extra time with pups, whether that’s relaxing together, grabbing a pup cup, or visiting the dog park if that’s something your dog enjoys! I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs. In my home, pets will have lots of attention, supervised outdoor time, and space to relax. We have a small fenced-in yard, and I love spending time outside with dogs for fresh air, playtime, and walks. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m happy to follow their normal routine and any instructions they provide to help their pet feel comfortable and secure. If crating is part of their routine, I’m comfortable using a crate both in my home or the client’s home when needed. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I always try to make sure they feel safe, loved, and stress-free while in my care

They are my family too Currently working Mon- Friday 8-5pm, willing to do weekends and if necessary, weekdays but please contact ahead of time as I work 30 mins away. “Kayla's care for my insulin dependent senior cat was amazing. I was a little hesitant hiring someone new, as I had just moved to the area. But Kayla truly made me feel as though she had Buster's best interest in mind! She gave me detailed information about how Buster was doing during her visit updates on Rover, and sent along photos. When I got back home, Buster missed me but was very relaxed, which means that he felt very taken care of! Kayla even put ice cubes in Buster's water since it was a little hot here while I was away. And she was sure to alert me if she was running behind for a scheduled visit, though considering how many people she likely has as clients, that is understandable! I would hire her again in a heartbeat.”

“Madalys was amazing with our cat. She was quick to respond and arranged a meeting with us before booking. We could tell she really payed attention to what we asked of her. She even took notes to be sure. She was very patient with our cat and didn’t pressure her to open up which I really appreciate!”

“Skarlett dropped in on our cat while we were away. She took care of everything we needed, communicated well and was quick to respond. She sent us videos and pictures! We were extremely glad to see how happy our cat was with a visitor. We would definitely book Skarlett again in the future.”

Starlet was AMAZING! I can’t emphasize enough how thrilled I am to have found her. I travel for work and my cat travels with me. I use rover.com in every city that I go to. This is BY FAR the best experience I have had so far. Scarlett was an excellent communicator, showed up on time, spent time with my sweet old girl and sent lots of pictures and videos. I did not worry for even one second. Such a relief! I highly recommend Scarlet and will definitely use her again while I am in Stratford. A+++++

Hannah was wonderful for our two 6yo cats. One needed some minor topical meds and she was able to handle it without issues. Received the cutest updates and truly helped put us at ease on our work trip. The boys seemed way less stressed than they normally would be if we went out of town, she did a great job of giving them some much needed attention - would absolutely book her again!

Josh was a fantastic sitter, and we had a great experience with him. He did drop-in visit and then house sat for us and took excellent care of our cat. What really stood out was how quickly he bonded with our cat who is shy and usually hides from people. Josh was reliable, communicative, and clearly very comfortable around animals. I had an absolutely wonderful experience with my cat sitter! I have three cats, and they all warmed up to her so quickly — which says a lot because they don’t always trust new people. She clearly has a natural way with animals and made them feel comfortable right away. She spent a lot of quality time with them during each visit, not just the basics. I could tell they were happy and relaxed in all the updates she sent. She was amazing about communication! I received regular messages, photos, and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Everything was spotless when I returned — litter boxes were cleaned, and everything was exactly as it should be. It’s such a relief knowing my cats were so well cared for. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring sitter. I will absolutely be booking her again! 🐱💛

Sydney was awsome! She responded immediately to my inquiry on short notice. She was very accomodating with her schedule to meet our elderly kitty and get the information and special instructions she needed to take good care of him while we were away. Sydney sent us pictures and responded immediately to my text messages. I felt confidient he was well cared for. Will definintley contact Syndney again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
