About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I helped care for my family’s Shih Tzu, Kelly, who lived a long life and gave me experience caring for an older dog and understanding the extra patience and attention senior pets need. More recently, I had my Frenchie, Tyson, who recently passed away. We spent so much time together going on daily 3-mile walks, cuddling, playing, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Caring for him taught me how important consistency, love, patience, and attentiveness are when it comes to pets. What sets me apart is the genuine care and connection I build with animals. On weekends, I enjoy spending extra time with pups, whether that’s relaxing together, grabbing a pup cup, or visiting the dog park if that’s something your dog enjoys! I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs. In my home, pets will have lots of attention, supervised outdoor time, and space to relax. We have a small fenced-in yard, and I love spending time outside with dogs for fresh air, playtime, and walks. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m happy to follow their normal routine and any instructions they provide to help their pet feel comfortable and secure. If crating is part of their routine, I’m comfortable using a crate both in my home or the client’s home when needed. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I always try to make sure they feel safe, loved, and stress-free while in my care

Plus, my dog is very friendly and enjoys the company, which can help other dogs feel more comfortable and social. I really enjoy walking my dog, and I’m interested in turning that into a small business to help others who need dog walking services while also building connections with other dogs. Having to deal with a very skittish dog, that is afraid of almost everything and especially quick movements and loud noises, Ali took the task and before we knew it, my dog Jinx was sleeping with her and would come when called. I suggested using a lead on Jinx in the "honeymoon phase", just in case Jinx decided to hide under the bed and not come out, but that didn't happen. Jinx took her time and hid for a few hours, before approaching Ali, who was very patient. I highly recommend Ali, but now I'm afraid that I won't be able to put her on the books for the future, she is "that" special.”

Since 2023, I've been volunteering with cats and small animals at a local shelter (affectionately known there as "Cat Rachel"), working with cats of all different temperaments -from shy wallflowers, snuggly lovebugs, fur divas, and the “don’t-look-at-me” types. I've also been pet-sitting on and off since 2010 including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, bunnies, and tropical fish. Fridays: AM & PM visit, sometimes can do a lunchtime visit if in Shelton, overnight stays. Saturdays and Sundays: Flexible, 3 visits a day, and overnight stays. Safety is my #1 priority - ensuring your pets feel secure and comfortable. My goal is to provide a stress-free, trustworthy experience which is why I only accept bookings I can confidently handle based on each pet's needs and my experience. During my visits: - I respect your space and follow all care instructions and house rules. - I ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure. Doors are opened with extreme caution. - I ensure they have access to everything they need and their water dishes are full. - For cats, even if they sometimes goes outside, they must be and remain inside for the entirety of my visit. I will ensure their litter boxes are cleaned. - For dogs, there will be double checks of leashes, collars, and/or harnesses.
