About: I started taking care of pets when we got a family dog when I was a kid. Since then, I help my mom with her pet-sitting business and have sat for her 3 dogs for a week+ at a time. I genuinely love taking care of dogs of all ages. I work a full-time job 7-3 M-F, and have afternoon pilot classes about twice a week, always scheduled in advance. Occasionally I go out of town for a weekend, again, scheduled well in advance. I would treat a client's pet as if they were my own, which is to say with lots of love, care, patience, respect, and kindness. And a lot of head pats (if and when applicable).

About: I rescued my own dog from a shelter, and she required a lot of special training and patience. I worked with her on socialization, leash walking, and reducing pulling and barking around other dogs, and I have successfully helped her improve in all of these areas. Since she was a puppy when I adopted her, I also have experience with the patience, consistency, and care that younger dogs require. In addition, I care for a senior dog, so I am experienced in recognizing when a dog has reached their physical limit during walks and understanding how to adjust care based on their needs. Having experience with both younger and older dogs, as well as both large and small breeds, has taught me how to handle dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and training levels with confidence and care. I am currently in school but there are only three days a week I am completely booked with classes. My Mondays and Fridays and weekends are completely open and would love to spend my free time around more dogs! I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for pets while they are in my care. Since I live in an apartment, I make sure the space is pet-friendly, secure, and free of anything that could be harmful to animals. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, and any special instructions from the owner. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely to help pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I prioritize safety during walks, monitor pets closely around other animals, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, patience, and affection. I also provide updates and communication so owners feel reassured while their pets are in my care.

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life, but started caring for them on my own since I was 10 years old. As I got older, I was around cats more and more, and now I have a great love for both pets!! My experience includes walks, potty breaks, playtime, overnighting with pets, senior care, and caring for high energy dogs. I often work on the weekends and Wednesday nights, but like to stay busy during the week. Staying busy mostly means being active and running errands. Pet care is a perfect opportunity for me to fill in the gaps! I will visit the pets as much as needed, feed them when advised to, pet them and play with them, and take them on nice, relaxing walks.

About: I currently volunteer at an animal shelter and love working with dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and demeanors! I also have some basic training experience through my dog trainer, who also specializes in service work and behavioral training. My personal dog, Toffee (basset hound!), lived to be 16, and my favorite time with her was the patient walks and TLC needed as she got older--happy to support your senior animals too:) A couple other tidbits: I have experience working with farm animals (chickens, ducks, goats, and alpacas!) and majored in Environmental Science in college. Looking forward to meeting your furry ones! I balance my full-time job (8:30-4) with pet care through Rover and at the animal shelter. I am happy to work with you to find good times (evenings and weekends included, depending on when). I prefer to meet or provide care at your home, but I also live in a very walkable neighborhood and have a dog park nearby. My house has a fenced-in yard and a sprinkler for the hotter days. While I do not currently have a crate in my personal vehicle, I am happy to get one if you are more comfortable. I also have close friends with dogs and cats if play dates are helpful too!

About: I have been pet sitting for over six years and have cared for animals for as long as I can remember. I have experience with a wide variety of animals, ranging from horses and lizards to dogs and cats. I currently have two dogs of my own, one is 4 years old and the other is 12. I understand the different needs pets may have at every stage of life. I am comfortable caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments and can administer oral medications when needed. Before I leave, I will make sure your home is tidy, your pet is safe, happy and comfortable. I will be sure to follow any instructions given to me prior to the visit. About: I’ve worked with dogs professionally for a number of years and been a dog owner my whole life! I love the loyalty and companionship that dogs provide and firmly believe that their walk or boarding should be the highlight of their day. Each pup has individual needs that I am happy to provide and my dog Felix is always available for socialization as well. I work for the Hamden school system as a para so I have unlimited time over the summer to make your pet the number one priority. I have a large, fully fenced in yard and close access to parks and trails. My pup Felix loves having friends over and gets along with all personality types.

About: I’ve had dogs of all sizes myself, and have friends and family whose cats I’ve watched as well. I am extremely active and can walk/run dogs all day long! I’d love to help your dogs be more active with me! I am a college student who works on campus, but I do have afternoons and weekends free. I have a reliable vehicle so I can make it to appointments. I’d love to get on a weekly schedule of dog walking to make activity normal for their lives and mine! I’m very respectful and professional about being invited into someone’s home to care for their pet. I’m a stickler for rules and standards, and will always communicate what the proper care is before I arrive for your pet.

About: Hello! Our names are Mai and Alfredo. Mai is 23yo and has been doing rover for about 4-5years but has been taking care of animals since the age of 13. Alfredo is 25yo and recently moved to CT from FL. He has had animals, specifically dogs, all his life. Mai recently graduated from SCSU and is working Full-Time as a Pharmacy Tech but plans on continuing her education to become a OB/GYN Sonographer. Alfredo is currently employed Part-Time and this is why we are doing this together! If Mai is unavailable, Alfredo can step in so we can always be available for pet parents!🐾 We are happy to travel to you and care for your babies at your home even overnight if needed! We make sure your pets have sufficient water/food before leaving and as well as clean up any accidents that have happened in your home. We like to make sure your fur babies will be okay until you arrive! For overnight house sitting we require a meet-and-greet with you and your pets prior so you and your babies can get to know us and so we can cover any basics and questions you or we may have! We want to make sure you leave with peace of mind knowing your babies are in good hands! 🙏🏼

About: I've had dogs all of my life, and created such strong bonds with each one of them. I've always been someone my family and friends can turn to when they leave to care for their pets as I ensure they are not only taken care of, but comfortable and happy as well. Animals are so special to people and I will always drop everything to care for them. I'm completely free for the summer before I attend my first year of college in the fall. When I have classes, I plan to schedule pet care visits in my free time and days off as well. I'm a very communicative and responsible person who can easily adapt to the needs of my clients and their pets. My main priority is the comfort of the animals and I will do whatever it takes to ensure that and their happiness.

About: Hello Rover customers, I have taken care of pets since I was a child and have taken care of my family’s fur babies since my kids were small. I am currently left with my senior cat at home but would love to take great care of your beloved fur babies. I am currently self employed and work part time during the weekdays. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate as needed with enough notice! I have a fenced in yard for my animals if needed but I am very careful in customer’s homes and make sure to not leave without checking my surroundings first so no animals gets out the door.

About: I have 2 cats of my own - Layla & Mimi! They both have completely different personalities. I’ve been a cat sitter for 4 years now and I love it! Every kitty has their own little attitude and personality that makes them unique. It’s the best meeting new kitties and becoming that person their parents can call to keep on eye on them 🐱🥰 I’m currently working full-time from 9-5pm on weekdays. I’m available after 5pm on weekdays and before 8:30 (location dependent). I am available anytime on weekends. My home is not equipped - it’s an apartment. I have no problem following any/all rules. The goal is to maintain the best, safest environment for your pet!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs within my family since I was 10 years old. I love to go for long walks and give them as much exercise as possible! My goal is to take away the stress of giving your pet enough time to get their energy out for the day. Though I’d love to have a dog of my own, it isn’t in the cards for me right now so I’d love to enjoy spending time with other people’s pets. At the moment, I am between full-time jobs until September so I am available all hours Monday-Friday! My weekends vary in availability but if you are looking for those days just ask in advance and I may be able to accommodate you. I love giving pets under my care all the attention they need, so I am happy to go on long walks around the neighborhood or bring them somewhere nearby if they have a favorite spot they love to walk. I am reliable, flexible with scheduling, and am eager to enjoy the company of the animals I meet.
