About: I started taking care of pets when we got a family dog when I was a kid. Since then, I help my mom with her pet-sitting business and have sat for her 3 dogs for a week+ at a time. I genuinely love taking care of dogs of all ages. I work a full-time job 7-3 M-F, and have afternoon pilot classes about twice a week, always scheduled in advance. Occasionally I go out of town for a weekend, again, scheduled well in advance. I would treat a client's pet as if they were my own, which is to say with lots of love, care, patience, respect, and kindness. And a lot of head pats (if and when applicable).
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a kid and now own two high energy pups of my own. From puppies to seniors! I just graduated from accelerated nursing school and am very flexible with my time while I wait to begin my new job in a couple months. I am available to follow whatever instructions provided specific to your dog. I understand every pup has their own needs and will provide the best possible care.
“Marsela watched my two cats over the holidays and did a fantastic job! She was communicative, asked questions when necessary, and left detailed notes. One of my cats is working to overcome an extreme fear of people, and he even felt comfortable enough to come out and eat in front of her, which is amazing!”

“Jen took amazing care of our cat Kirby. He can be a little rambunctious and needy and she made he got his prescription food everyday at the right times. We were thrilled with Jens care and kindness.”

“Erin did an amazing job taking care of our cats while we were on vacation for a week. She understands cats which is very appreciated! I felt at ease knowing she was taking such great care of them. Highly recommend!”

“I had Sara come for a meet and greet and could see right away her love for animals. I booked her for drop in visits to take care of my two cats which are my babies. She was punctual, trustworthy, and of course, great with my cats. She played with them, sent me updates and of course pictures. I was able to enjoy my time away while I knew my cats were in great care. I will plan to use Sara again in the future and highly recommend her!”

I have experience with a wide variety of animals, ranging from horses and lizards to dogs and cats. I currently have two dogs of my own, one is 4 years old and the other is 12. I understand the different needs pets may have at every stage of life. I am comfortable caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments and can administer oral medications when needed. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to make them feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I recently graduated from Fairfield University with my nursing degree and have begun my career as an emergency department nurse. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. You can count on me to be responsible, attentive, and dependable when caring for your pets. I will always make sure your pet has a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while in my care. When I arrive, I will ensure they have everything they need, including fresh water, food, exercise, and plenty of attention. Before I leave, I will make sure your home is tidy, your pet is safe, happy and comfortable. I will be sure to follow any instructions given to me prior to the visit. About: I’ve worked with dogs professionally for a number of years and been a dog owner my whole life! I love the loyalty and companionship that dogs provide and firmly believe that their walk or boarding should be the highlight of their day. Each pup has individual needs that I am happy to provide and my dog Felix is always available for socialization as well. I work for the Hamden school system as a para so I have unlimited time over the summer to make your pet the number one priority. I have a large, fully fenced in yard and close access to parks and trails. My pup Felix loves having friends over and gets along with all personality types.
“Sabrina and Daniel were wonderful! They cared for my two chickens while we were gone. Very easy to communicate with. They went above and beyond to send pictures and full details. Would definitely hire them again.”

About: I’ve had dogs of all sizes myself, and have friends and family whose cats I’ve watched as well. I am extremely active and can walk/run dogs all day long! I’d love to help your dogs be more active with me! I am a college student who works on campus, but I do have afternoons and weekends free. I have a reliable vehicle so I can make it to appointments. I’d love to get on a weekly schedule of dog walking to make activity normal for their lives and mine! I’m very respectful and professional about being invited into someone’s home to care for their pet. I’m a stickler for rules and standards, and will always communicate what the proper care is before I arrive for your pet.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was 8 and haven’t met a dog I didn’t love. I spent the past 5 years living in NYC where I started dog walking and sitting part time before moving back to CT. I can handle all dogs of all ages and sizes. Accepting evening and weekend walks only. Same day / last minute bookings will be accepted depending on my availability. Fully booked for mid-day weekday walks. Kind and careful to all requests. Can take control in many different situations. Energetic and active where needed. Calming presence when it’s time to wind down.
About: I’ve been around dogs all my life, but started caring for them on my own since I was 10 years old. As I got older, I was around cats more and more, and now I have a great love for both pets!! My experience includes walks, potty breaks, playtime, overnighting with pets, senior care, and caring for high energy dogs. I often work on the weekends and Wednesday nights, but like to stay busy during the week. Staying busy mostly means being active and running errands. Pet care is a perfect opportunity for me to fill in the gaps! I will visit the pets as much as needed, feed them when advised to, pet them and play with them, and take them on nice, relaxing walks.
About: I’ve grown up with all types of animals my entire life. From dogs and cats to birdies and bunnies, I love them all! I have been blessed to share life with my yorkie-poo for the past 14 years. I’ve had to learn how to give him daily oral medications, eye drops and ear drops to keep him healthy and lively! I’d give the same love, care and attention to your fur babies as well! I am a school bus driver so from the hours of 6-10:30am and 1:30-4:30pm I am unavailable. However, I am quick to respond to any availability scheduling questions you make have! I currently live in a house with a brick-fenced in yard with 1 social senior pup (who doesn’t mind to be crated if need be) however I would love to care for your pet wherever they feel comfortable!
“Raeven is phenomenal! Since the first day our puppy has been so much calmer having Raeven check in with her and playing! We’ve only been using Raeven since and the quality of care to our pup has been amazing! Would recommend to anyone!”

I’m available any day of the week and weekends as well. Anything else you might need just text/call and we can discuss further details, thanks. I have the backyard partly fenced. Won’t be able to get to front yard unless he/she go’s a certain way, but ill always supervise when i let your pup out. Can set up a runner if needed. Very big back yard with river in the back.
“Jaelyn is awesome. This is the 2nd time we’ve booked with her. She communicates well and shows up when she’s supposed. She sends updates while we are away. I’m feel super sure that my dog is in good hands when we book her.”

About: I've had dogs all of my life, and created such strong bonds with each one of them. I've always been someone my family and friends can turn to when they leave to care for their pets as I ensure they are not only taken care of, but comfortable and happy as well. Animals are so special to people and I will always drop everything to care for them. I'm completely free for the summer before I attend my first year of college in the fall. When I have classes, I plan to schedule pet care visits in my free time and days off as well. I'm a very communicative and responsible person who can easily adapt to the needs of my clients and their pets. My main priority is the comfort of the animals and I will do whatever it takes to ensure that and their happiness.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Haven
I had a great experience with Crystal and would definitely book her again! My dog absolutely loved her, and she was attentive, communicative, and followed all of my instructions. She sent me updates and pictures throughout the stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. She even stayed longer than I had booked to make sure my dog was comfortable, which I truly appreciated. On top of that, she left me a thoughtful card and even washed my dishes before she left. She really went above and beyond, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! 🐾💕

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in North Haven with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
