About: I rescued my own dog from a shelter, and she required a lot of special training and patience. I worked with her on socialization, leash walking, and reducing pulling and barking around other dogs, and I have successfully helped her improve in all of these areas. Since she was a puppy when I adopted her, I also have experience with the patience, consistency, and care that younger dogs require. In addition, I care for a senior dog, so I am experienced in recognizing when a dog has reached their physical limit during walks and understanding how to adjust care based on their needs. Having experience with both younger and older dogs, as well as both large and small breeds, has taught me how to handle dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and training levels with confidence and care. I am currently in school but there are only three days a week I am completely booked with classes. My Mondays and Fridays and weekends are completely open and would love to spend my free time around more dogs! I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for pets while they are in my care. Since I live in an apartment, I make sure the space is pet-friendly, secure, and free of anything that could be harmful to animals. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, and any special instructions from the owner. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely to help pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I prioritize safety during walks, monitor pets closely around other animals, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, patience, and affection. I also provide updates and communication so owners feel reassured while their pets are in my care.

“Leaving Gamma and Delta for a long period of time was incredibly stressful for us, but Melanie completely exceeded our expectations! She came in twice a day for food, to spend quality time with them and sent a lot of daily photos. I was able to enjoy my entire trip with zero worries since we had a pretty good communication with her. Gamma and Delta had a blast, non stop cuddles and a lot of love, also a lot of games and treats, they will miss her! Melanie also helped us with some medication and did an amazing job taking care of our dogs, she left the house spotless, we highly recommend her and will definitely ask for her help in all our future trips!”

I’d love to help your dogs be more active with me! I am a college student who works on campus, but I do have afternoons and weekends free. I have a reliable vehicle so I can make it to appointments. About: Hi, I have been taking care of animals for over 25 years now. I also use to breed German Shepherds for eight years. I am a stay at home mom and Rover, is my full time job now that my kids are teens. I use to foster dogs and other animals before I had a family and worked on two farms, So I have a lot of experience with different types of breeds, temperaments, past abuse, and very skittish animals. I have much confidence when it comes to taking care of special case dogs, senior dogs, newborn/Whelping puppies and more. We live in a house with over two acres of land, with lots of lovely areas to walk, including a cemetery that is located over the fence in our yard. It has lots of roads that are quiet and safe. I find this great because they gets lots and lots of exercise, and its great for dogs that may be frightened of loud, busy streets, or leash reactive dogs. We also have doggie pools ,( when it's hot) if your pup loves water play! My German Shepherd and Papilions are highly trained and socialized . They are extremely well behaved, as well as amazing house dogs and companions to my autistic son. HOWEVER, your dog/s and my dogs will NEVER come in physical contact with each other. . We are highly active family, so lots of play and exercise fits in our schedule everyday. While hosting your pets at my house, they will receive the same attention and affection as if they were my own dogs. I always sleep in the same room as the pups ( unless told otherwise) to keep they company and comfortable during their stay. We will have lots of potty breaks, keep right on track with feeding schedule. Everyday we will have lots of play time, down relax time, and brain stimulating fun as well. I will take them on long walks at the cemetery that is behind the fence of our home. I ONLY do family boardings, I do not mix other family dog/s. I find no matter how socialized they are, being away from home on top of being with unfamiliar dogs can always have a possibility of disaster. My goal is to keep everyone safe! I will take up to 2 dogs from the same family. Thank you for understanding. I absolutely am an animal lover, and it's the only job that makes me feel happy, confident and I have such a passion for this work So your pets will become my family when they are with me. I will always protect them and care for them like they are my own. I will always send pictures and videos of your furbaby while they are in my care. Please ask me as many questions as you like, I am eager to learn about your fur babies! My dogs are on strict, daily routine that doesn't interfere with my work schedule. However my dogs and your dog/s will not come in physical contact with each other. We have two wings of our home and the main house where are dogs are. Down the hall we have the ..... Huge Doggie Suite!! Equipped with a mini fridge for meds and wet food, with lots of toys, beds,blankets, a big doggie couch, Sink, Raincoats and snow jackets, AC AND HEAT. Lots of windows and sky lights, screen windows to slide open to get that fresh crisp air in the morning and gentle breeze at night. Spring and Fall are best for those times. But we will have fun all year round because I am a huge outdoors person. I also have doggie Tv playing everyday!!😊 My schedule most of the time will be wide open, which only a few days here and there that I won't be available. I will follow all your directions to a T, and you will never be disappointed by my services! I look forward to all my new pup and "hooman" clients.

About: I try to take parts of Cesar Milan's strategy with dogs specifically. Trying to not reward bad behavior. Making sure a pet can respect my boundaries. Currently have a dog walking client at Winding Brook Condominiums in Meriden. I’m there twice a day for 30 minute walks and play. I bought some balls for her so she can play. Have videos and lots of photos. I work flexible hours as an independent contractor so I make my own schedule. I am building my pet care business so I am signing up for a drone pilots license for pet recovery. I am also working on upgrading my vehicle to a minivan. I am offering pet sitting in your home until that can change to my home. I am needing different things done to my home before I can bring pets to my house.

About: Hi everyone. I am new to Rover as a sitter but I’ve taken care of different types of dog breeds for 5 years! Dogs are considered to be humans best friends and I treat them like they’re mine! I provide comfort and care and help each dog with anything they may need, ranging from love, to energy and any special need care the owner may have! I alter my care depending on each need to each individual dog! I am comfortable around all dogs. While also having a job as an engineer, I try to make time for my animals even if that means leaving work and coming home to make sure they have everything they need! I also have days off that need to be filled with more joy and more animals! With a lot of free time, I can make sure your fur baby is never alone and bored! About: I have had dogs for my entire life and am great with all animals. Growing up I walked my two Boston Terriers on a daily basis and helped out with my family's dogs when they were out of town. Over my summer vacation from college, I will be working my other part-time job three days a week, most likely Monday-Wednesday from 2-5:30. Aside from that, I will use all of my free time to dog walk and pet sit. At my house, we have a fenced-in backyard to ensure that our dogs will never escape. Any time I walk my dogs, I walk them on a leash and ensure that they are close to me, and I have a strong hold on their leash. The same thing goes for when I am walking anyone else's dog. When walking dogs, I stay highly attentive to my surroundings and prioritize each pet’s safety and well-being at all times

About: Hi there! I am a current post-grad student, who studied Neuroscience and Pre-Med at Boston College. I have a great love for animals and have had both dogs and cats since I was born. I currently have 1 dog and 2 cats of which I am a part-time caretaker (when I’m home in NY)! I would love to help walk your furry friends!
