I've been taking care of animals, including horses, since elementary school. I’ve had 3 cats, 4 horses, and 2 dogs throughout my life. I recently lost my dog to cancer, and I’m sure my kitty misses having his best friend around. So if your dog is cat-friendly, I would love to watch them! I currently work from home. Watching a dog for a day, multiple days or scheduling a break to come walk your dog would not be a problem. I’m located close to downtown Wallingford and there are great places to walk (especially with a dog!). I know how to care for all ages of dogs, including the elderly and I have experience giving medications. Requested information about your pet Please let me know the schedule of your fur baby - what time they get walked, what time they are fed, etc. I would like to have your fur baby keep to their schedule as much as possible. Also let me know any little tricks or specifics for your dogs, how long they like to walk, if they like to go out immediately after eating, etc. Please let me know the demeanor of your dog as well - are they aggressive? Get a long with other dogs/cats? Anything else! I want to make sure they receive the best care! :)

This was my first time having someone watch my puppy Starr and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Kristen was great and very accommodating. Starr had a wonderful time as evidenced in the many pictures taken throughout her day. Would definitely recommend her.
We haven’t left our pup in someone else’s home for more than an hour or two without us and Kristen made sure our dog was taken care of! She took Cali for a walk & made sure she got along with her cat well! She sent us updates & s photo which eased my anxiety about leaving her with someone new. We can’t wait to use Kristen again :)
Kristen was great with our 3 month old puppy. She was flexible, sent us plenty of pictures, and responded quickly. It was a serene getaway for him and he looked very comfortable in her home. She took him on walks and he walked really well with her. On the second day drop off Kameron was wagging his tail as we walked inside and went straight for a prized green toy he loved. The pictures she sent were beautiful and she was very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her would absolutely use her again.
I’m highly recommend Kristen! She took such good care of Charlie that he didn’t want to leave. She is awesome with him and he felt very happy and comfortable there. I am so thankful that I found her.

Schedule
Since I work from home, I am able to schedule breaks to take dogs out and go on longer walks (even hikes!). I can board in my house weekdays and weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a cat who misses his doggy sister, so he does well with dogs, but he rules the roost! I can crate dogs if needed. I also try to keep my house as non-toxic as possible (chemicals, cleaning supplies, etc) for the health of my pets.

A typical day
I have a great neighborhood for dog walking, so if your dog loves short walks or long walks, we can do either. Also love bringing them on hikes or the Farmington canal trail.
