About: I've been taking care of animals, including horses, since elementary school. I’ve had 3 cats, 4 horses, and 2 dogs throughout my life. I recently lost my dog to cancer, and I’m sure my kitty misses having his best friend around. So if your dog is cat-friendly, I would love to watch them! I currently work from home. Watching a dog for a day, multiple days or scheduling a break to come walk your dog would not be a problem. I’m located close to downtown Wallingford and there are great places to walk (especially with a dog!). I know how to care for all ages of dogs, including the elderly and I have experience giving medications. Requested information about your pet Please let me know the schedule of your fur baby - what time they get walked, what time they are fed, etc. I would like to have your fur baby keep to their schedule as much as possible. Also let me know any little tricks or specifics for your dogs, how long they like to walk, if they like to go out immediately after eating, etc. Please let me know the demeanor of your dog as well - are they aggressive? Get a long with other dogs/cats? Anything else! I want to make sure they receive the best care! :) Since I work from home, I am able to schedule breaks to take dogs out and go on longer walks (even hikes!). I can board in my house weekdays and weekends. I have a cat who misses his doggy sister, so he does well with dogs, but he rules the roost! I can crate dogs if needed. I also try to keep my house as non-toxic as possible (chemicals, cleaning supplies, etc) for the health of my pets.
“I highly recommend Rebecca! Everything went very smoothly and she made my family’s time away stress free. She took care of my two dogs and it was clear they were in good hands! She sent several pictures with her updates which was awesome!”

“Sarah is the best! She is always on time, cares about my pup and sends pictures! You can tell my dog likes her just by how comfortable she looks in her pics. We appreciate her so much !”

“Camryn was great. She handled our three dogs very well and kept us very well-informed, and was able to stop in on very short notice. The dogs loved her, and even one of our skittish cats came to say hello. Thanks, Camryn!”

“Mary was amazing with my two goldens. They’re both very energetic and strong pullers on the leash and Mary was able to wrangle them no problem! She came over to meet the pups before hand and was so sweet to my dogs and to us. Send me photos every walk and give a full report back about everything the pups did! We all felt very comfortable with her off the bat as well. I would definitely have Mary back to care for our pups and recommend her to you 10/10!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all types since I was 15 years old. From taking them out for walks, potty breaks, and feedings, to spending time to play, I am willing and able to provide quality care for your pets. I work full time (830am-430pm) but I can care for your pets before or after work as well as weekends. I can be flexible if needed My grandma has a 7 year old Pomeranian/Terrier mix that she took in about 2 years ago. I’ve been helping her care for Maizie by taking her for walks, playing with her, feeding her, and even snuggling for naps!! I will care for your pet as if they were my own.
About: Hi! I’m a pet sitter with 3 years of experience as an emergency vet tech and a lifelong animal lover. I’ve worked in fast-paced ER environments, so I’m calm, confident, and trained in handling pets of all personalities and medical needs. Also, I have a cat of my own who inspires me to give every pet the same love and attention I give at home. With 1 year of pet sitting experience, I provide reliable, compassionate, and knowledgeable care you can trust. I currently work part time so I am very flexible. I am driven to keep your pets comfy and happy. I will work with you on your schedule. I have a backyard and a safe friendly neighborhood to take your animals on walks. I do own a cat, but if needed, I will keep her in my bedroom.

“We absolutely adore Julie. She took her time and not only had no problem with our cat's semi complicated meal routine, but she sat with our very needy cat and gave her undivided attention while we were away. We will absolutely be contacting Julie anytime we are going to be away and need our pets to be taken care of.”

“Hailey is the person you want your pets to see while you’re away. My boys immediately took to her and were happy to see her stop by. Hailey has such a warm and calming presence that made them both comfortable. I appreciated her communication with me to let me know how the visit was going as well as the videos and photos she sent over. This would have been a 10 star rating if this app had that option :)”

About: I worked for The FurKid company in New York City. There, I walked dogs, as well as provided overnight care for dogs and cats, which includes administering medication to the animals. I'm a teacher, so I am mostly available outside of the 7:30PM to 3:30PM window. I pour a lot of love into the animals I care for, no matter how much time I have with them! I have no pets of my own, so will be able to put all of my energy into yours! I unfortunately don't have a yard, but there is plenty of green space and a dog park in my apartment complex.
“Christine has been amazing taking care of our 5.5 month old puppy, Ringo! Not only does she provide excellent care for Ringo, she provides us with feedback and pictures of her time with him, and takes good care of our home while she is there. I definitely recommend Christine!”

About: I love spending time with all types of dogs- big, small, old, young, lazy, energetic and everything in between. I recently moved back to Connecticut from Colorado and now have a more flexible job that allows me the opportunity to dog sit again. In the past, I’ve cared for dogs for Rover clients as well as friends’ and family members’ pets, and I’m comfortable walking, feeding, bathing, and administering medications as needed. I also love being outdoors and am happy to take your dog on walks or hikes if that’s something you’d like. I have experience training dogs, including my own two, and I understand how important it is to follow your dog’s routine and your expectations. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I am open to working with you to make a schedule that works for both your dog's needs and my work schedule. I work Monday-Friday, with a flexible hour break for going to check on your pet midday if needed. My weekends would be planned to meet the needs of your pet, so you could enjoy your time away with our worry! I prefer watching dogs in their homes at this time because my elderly dog likes to have his space to himself. This is how I have always dog sat and am happy to provide references if that would make you feel more comfortable.

Tell me about your dog’s needs so I can do my very best to make sure they are comfortable. I travel with treats and toys!

“Kenzie is fabulous. Her love and ease with animals was evident at our first meet. Kenzie is flexible and dependable. She went above and beyond to check in on our cat while we were on vacation who wasn’t feeling well. We felt such a sense of relief knowing our animals were in safe hands while we were away. Highly recommend.”

“Sandra was a great find! I can’t recommend this dog walker enough! They truly love dogs and it shows in everything they do. They spent quality time playing with my dog and made sure he was completely taken care of, which gave me so much peace of mind and meant I didn’t have to rush home. Kristen was simply the BEST!!! Communicative, accommodating, caring, kind and just all around FABULOUS. She was so helpful for this nervous “Mom” with her puppy. This was my first time leaving her alone in unfamiliar surroundings. She send updates, complete with photos. So fantastic!!!!!!

Tracy is great! She has dropped in on our two cats multiple times and is great at following instructions, checking for changes in their routines, and providing great pictures and updates to keep us connected while we're gone. She clearly likes spending time with the animals and cares about making them comfortable and happy.

I had Sara come for a meet and greet and could see right away her love for animals. I booked her for drop in visits to take care of my two cats which are my babies. She was punctual, trustworthy, and of course, great with my cats. She played with them, sent me updates and of course pictures. I was able to enjoy my time away while I knew my cats were in great care. I will plan to use Sara again in the future and highly recommend her!

Emese has been a terrific friend to our older, shy and deaf cat. He tends to be very cautious around people and generally hides, but he clearly feels safe around Emese. We have appreciated the photos she has sent of our senior cat lounging in his favorite spot and posing for her. Thank you, Emese!

Mary was amazing with my two goldens. I would definitely have Mary back to care for our pups and recommend her to you 10/10!
