“I can’t say enough good things about Elizabeth and her family! They way she went above and beyond to make me and my dog feel comfortable was a breathe of fresh air. She was super responsive, and answered any questions I had. I would 10/10 recommend!!”

About: I have worked at a highly notable dog daycare/overnight boarding facility for three years in the past and continue to search for work with dogs and cats as I have a passion for caring for animals. I love all animals and have been responsible for walking, feeding and bathing my friends, and family members dogs. I am available on Weekdays and most Weekends. Check my schedule for my up to date availability. I have incorporated time into my schedule to meet you and your pets needs. I am a current law student! I have had cats and dogs my whole life! I currently have a 2 year old Tuxedo cat named Harley who is friendly and loves all animals.
“Christopher was very accommodating and flexible. He went out of his way to pick up Cameo at a more ideal timing prior to my departure for my work trip. He sent daily updates and pictures of Cameo playing and answered any questions that I had. Cameo got lots of play time and came home happy and exhausted :)”

“Yajaira was amazing! I was so nervous about using the app let alone leaving my dog with someone other than family. This was my first time and everything went perfect. I did a meet and greet prior to the stay where I met with Yajaira and her small dog to see how the vibe was with everyone. She was sweet and her and my dog got along well. She sent daily pictures and updates which I was thankful for. She cared for my dog like family. I’m so happy I found someone close to home that I can trust. Thank you so much again.”

“Noemi and David were absolute amazing hosts. They were able to accommodate me last minute and were very communicative during Teddys stay. They have a a sweet, friendly family who truly love the pets that stay here. I recommend these hosts. 10/10”

“Mikayla and Justin were incredible! They took such great care of my GSP Goose and sent very detailed and organized updates on how he was doing and made sure to get him an ample amount of exercise everyday. He looked so happy! Also they were extremely understanding and flexible when I had to pick him up a little late due to my return flight getting delayed. Will definitely be using them again!”

“I can’t say enough good things about my experiance with Anthony. I had to book in a short notice, and they were incredibly accommodating and responsive to our needs. During the stay, my puppy had an amazing time. She had plenty of playtime and exercise which I can tell from all the photos that I received- she was smiling in every single one them( yes my dog smiles, I have a clown poodle!). They clearly have a genuine love for animals and it shows in the way they interacted with my pup. Thank you so much for everything!”

“Our dog Brady was happy, well-exercised, and well-loved while he was with Angelina. We especially appreciated the regular updates, videos, and photos. Brady got plenty of attention, playtime, and care. We are grateful for the thoughtful and reliable service and would absolutely trust Angelina to watch Brady again in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter!”

“Nickimmy was great-totally recommend. She was super responsive when communicating about a nd treated Milo like he was her own family pet. My fiancé and I were very nervous to leave Milo with someone new to him, as we are anxious pet parents, but we both felt immediately comfortable leaving Milo in Nickimmy’s care. She provided frequent pictures and check ins, lots of walks and time outside, and she even comforted him when he woke up in the middle of the night howling bc he missed us! We will definitely leave Milo with Nickimmy again and can’t recommend her and her sweet family enough.”

“Ariel was great. Our dog is very energetic either on chasing a ball or off resting. Ariel gave her just what she needed. Also Andie done how came home smelling great!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the peace of mind that came with leaving my dog in her hands. She was very flexible with timing. Quick to respond. And took care of my dog exactly as I needed. I will 100%. Board my good boy with her. Whenever possible in the future.”

“Erika took care of our Baby “Rydah” She sent regular updates along with photos, meal times, and Rydah’s walking schedule. We WILL be using Erika again. Strongly recommend her to any other family. Thanks Erika Rydah will see you soon!”

“Sadie loved her time with Nadjeska and her family! It was hard to leave her for the holidays but it was clear she felt right at home. It was helpful to get so many pictures and and know she was doing well. We would definitely book again!”

“Smart, kind, and attentive. Claudia and Steven are wonderful people and our pup Luna enjoyed two great stays with them. They shared updates and photos on a regular basis which is so appreciated.”

“This was Luna's first time being away from us and I was so afraid with how she might be with someone new and away from her family. To my surprise she did fantastic with Lauren and had alot of fun! I received many pictures of Luna throughout her time away and little updates. She socialized with other pups, smelled amazing since she was bathed before she came home, and I can tell she was comfortable because when I got there she wiggled her little rump and was so excited to see me but she also would go back to Lauren to say goodbye. It was the sweetest thing. Thank you again, Luna will definitely be back!”

“Karina and Teresa were absolutely amazing with Evee! From start to finish, they took such great care of her and made me feel completely at ease. They sent tons of photos and videos, which I really appreciated; it was so clear how happy, comfortable, and well-loved Evee was the entire time. 🥰🥰 Evee came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and treat your pet like their own. I couldn’t have asked for better sitters and would 100% trust them with Evee again. Highly recommend!”

“Jourdyn was kind and nice with my dog (Bianca), they were together for 2 weeks, I am sure Bianca enjoyed her stay. Jourdyn sent me updates everyday. Bianca was in good mood after I picked her up. Definetly”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
