“Harper enjoyed her stay with Brittany and her family...and of course Inara. Brittany kept me informed of via photos and comments. Harper loved the kiddie pool in the backyard and snuggling with her son Weston on the sofa. We will gladly use Britanny's services again.”

“Bianka took great care of our dog Scooby, who presents with many challenges, including anxiety and blindness. She spent a lot of time with Scooby, such as by walking, petting, and playing with him. She even kept him company and played calming music for him when he woke up in the middle of the night. Bianka also sent frequent updates that included pictures. We are so grateful for Bianka!”

“Mikayla and Justin took great care of Scooby, especially when he was anxious about hearing fireworks - they comforted him and played some calming music for him. They also sent regular and detailed updates with many pictures!”

“Brianna is INCREDIBLY capable, and our dogs love her. One of our dogs is very elderly and on medication, and she is clearly well taken care of when she stays with Brianna. Our other dog is a high-need English Springer Spaniel that I honestly can’t imagine anyone other than Brianna managing his care. He has medical issues and anxiety, and Brianna has been able to manage both in a way that can only be described as masterful.”

“María took great care of my Coco for 9 days when I went out of the country. María provided constant feedback and pictures. Coco had a lot of fun, didn’t rush to jump on the vehicle to get back home. He was very relaxed like if he just came back from vacation too. Maria was very accommodating when I had to modify the times and dates due to airline last minute changes. I’ll bring Coco back for care in the future ❤️❤️❤️”

“I can’t say enough good things about Alessandra! This was my first time using Rover, and she was absolutely wonderful with my senior dog, Miso. She even offered to do a little meet-and-greet beforehand, which immediately made me feel comfortable. While I was away, she was so responsive and sent lots of photos and thoughtful updates. Alessandra is warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. I felt completely confident that Miso was in good hands the entire time. I’ll definitely be booking with her again the next time I’m out of town!”

“Cheyanne did an amazing job watching our 125 pound Leonberger for a week. He had a wonderful time, and we got cute photo updates every day. We highly recommend her for boarding and daycare, and can’t wait for our pup to stay with Cheyanne again soon!”

“Kristen took great care of my lab/shepard mix! I could tell my dog was happy, well loved, and cared for in my absence. I really loved the photo updates too. I highly recommend Kristen!”

“This family is absolutely wonderful. They watched our two dogs for the first time for 6 nights. One of my dogs is a senior and the other has epilepsy and needs medicine twice a day. This family took great care of the two of them and sent me daily updates and pictures. I will definitely book again with them!!”

“Shadow has a wonderful time! We picked him up and he was so happy and excited, giving Karen so much love on the way out, we will definitely use her again on future trips to the area. shadow had his own puppy palace and got walks and so much play time. Karen asked questions and fed shadow the way we would at home, thank you for taking care of our puppy as if he were your own! We appreciate it!”

“Sai was excellent and amazing when boarding my dog for a couple of days. Followed all instructions given and provided updates throughout the day. Since this was my first time using this app I was a bit skeptical with everyone but I gained confidence because Sai is amazing at care for our loved ones. Will definitely book again if needed, Highly recommended.”

“Zuleima was an awesome sitter. She sent me daily updates in lady and plenty of photos to show me that she was well taken care of. I will fully trust my dog with Zuleima again for future dog sitting needs.”

“This was Luna's first time being away from us and I was so afraid with how she might be with someone new and away from her family. To my surprise she did fantastic with Lauren and had alot of fun! I received many pictures of Luna throughout her time away and little updates. She socialized with other pups, smelled amazing since she was bathed before she came home, and I can tell she was comfortable because when I got there she wiggled her little rump and was so excited to see me but she also would go back to Lauren to say goodbye. It was the sweetest thing. Thank you again, Luna will definitely be back!”

“Yajaira watched my baby girl for a week when i left for a cruise. I had limited service and was a bit on edge since i had to find a last minute sitter since my girls last sitter moved to another state. Yajaira made me feel comfortable and kept me updated as much as she could. Genesis also became comfortable with her which made me even more comfortable :)9”

“Amazing Service. Karina was very caring and responsive. She kept us informed with text message with pictures of how the day was progressing with our dog. She was even able to get him to eat regularly — which has been a problem at times. We highly recommend Karina as a Dog sitter and only which she were available to usnear our home in Florida”

“Monique was amazing. I would use her services again. My leo had so much fun, she sent me pictures everyday and he looked so happy. Also she accommodated with my schedule. It was ny 1st time letting my dog with someone and I can't ask for a better experience. If you are looking for a caring and professional sitter dont hesitate to book Monique your dog will have lots of fun with her and her beautiful dog. Thank you again!”

“Stefanie and her family were so wonderful with my dog Winnie. They sent me photos of her having a great time every day and I felt so comforted knowing she was safe and happy. In fact, Winnie had such an awesome time that she didn’t even want to leave when I came to pick her up! 😂❤️”

Paola and her family were very sweet to my dog Winnie. They kept me updated with photos and stories the whole time. Also they never left her alone, which I know can’t always be the case, but was really great for Winnie’s anxiety. I would definitely recommend Paola to others looking for a great sitter!

Luci & her husband did a great job taking care of our dog recently for a couple of days. They have a fenced backyard - super for our dog to safely run & play with her dogs. When I returned to pick her up, the hosts provided me with a sweet thank you/remember them before leaving - a wonderul bag with colorful graphics of dogs, as well as a poop bag clipped to our dog's leash. They were lovely.

Brianna and her girlfriend are the best! She was incredibly communicative, responsive, and took amazing care of my boys. While she was watching Simba, it happened to be his birthday, and she went above and beyond by getting him a gift, celebrating him, and making sure he was spoiled with treats all day. She was also great about sending pictures and updates, which I absolutely loved. The dogs adjusted right away and truly made themselves at home - literally. Simba took over the couch, and Wes claimed her dog's bed as his own. I would recommend Brianna 1,000 times over and will definitely be booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
