“Sai did an amazing job with Kali! It was her first time away from home, and she was given all the love she needed and wanted to be comfortable. Sai sent pictures and updates throughout her stay, giving us the reassurance we needed. We look forward to booking with her again!”

“Bruce is wonderful with Jax and Daisy. He is patient and kind, earning the trust of our timid girl. We traveled overseas and I never wondered or worried because I got frequent updates from Bruce. We are grateful that we found Bruce to care for our furbabies!”

“Kaela is AMAZING! She and her family took such great care of my dog Jane. I received lots of photos throughout the day and felt stress free. Jane can’t wait to go back and play with Ace!”

“We had a great experience with Luci’s daycare service. From the start, communication was easy and reassuring. She shared photos and videos throughout the day, which made us feel completely at ease. Dante looked very comfortable and happy, almost like he was at home. It’s not always easy to find someone you can fully trust with your dog, but this was definitely one of those cases. We’re really glad we found her and will absolutely book again when needed. Highly recommended.”

“Christopher was very accommodating and flexible. He went out of his way to pick up Cameo at a more ideal timing prior to my departure for my work trip. He sent daily updates and pictures of Cameo playing and answered any questions that I had. Cameo got lots of play time and came home happy and exhausted :)”

“I really wanna thank justin and his family for taking great care of my noss ❤️ he was a very happy puppy while in their care and I will highly recommend them to anyone and definitely will be coming back!!!”

“I wish there was a choice of seven stars, because she would get them. We left our Abbie in Britneys care while we were away. From the first time we met her, we had the feeling that she was the one we wanted to take care of her. We weren't wrong. Getting up-dates and pictures everyday was so comforting while we were away. Britney will be such a good choice for anyone to watch your pet. We highly recommend her.”

“Zuleima was an awesome sitter. She sent me daily updates in lady and plenty of photos to show me that she was well taken care of. I will fully trust my dog with Zuleima again for future dog sitting needs.”

“This was my first experience with leaving my Liv with Noemi and David. They were fantastic and my pup is tired out. Thank you so much for taking care of her 💜”

About: I have experience caring for a variety of pets, including dogs and cats. My responsibilities have included feeding, providing fresh water, walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes and living areas, administering medications when needed, and ensuring pets receive plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. I am attentive to each pet's individual needs and prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. I am reliable, patient, and committed to providing loving, responsible care while owners are away. I’m currently unemployed while my children are in daycare and after school programs. Outside of appointments I’m free spending time with my cats and my females kittens I currently have 2 black cats. My female whom I rescued recently was pregnant and had 6 babies(3 weeks old) I’ve also had dogs and cats in my past. I love animals. My home is clean and organized.

“Jill was friendly and took great care of my dog! I had to drop Paisley off on very short notice, and Jill was happy to accommodate. Her home was clean and dog-friendly, with a fenced in backyard. She and her son went for walks and made Paisley feel at home. It was great to find a house without other dogs so mine could feel calm and special. Thanks, Jill!”
About: I have had multiple dogs in my lifetime from puppyhood to their senior years, so I am familiar with care needed at every stage, including medication, diapers, or urinary wraps. Aside from my own pets, I have boarded and pet-sat many dogs with varying personalities, and I pride myself on being able to meet each one where they’re at. I work a flexible job that offers work-from-home hours, so I can shift my schedule to give your dog the care and attention it deserves! I have a backyard that is about 85% fenced, and live near several parks and hiking trails if your dog prefers an active lifestyle. I can also accommodate low-energy dogs who prefer to lay inside all day! I have a medium-sized crate in my home, but don’t mind dogs who prefer to stay out or join me on the furniture. I have my own dog, but he will not be with me for the month of July, so your dog can enjoy plenty of toys while being the center of attention :)
“Ski was communicative, attentive, and did great with our puppy, and Yoshi had a great time with him!! Looking forward to booking with him again next time we need someone to take care of Yoshi when we’re away!”

“Anthony and Monique were excellent in taking care of Mia! I specially appreciated that they took the time for a meet and greet to make sure Mia was comfortable. We really appreciate all their care!”

“Monique was a fantastic host for our border collie mix, Margot. She followed our instructions to the letter and was kind enough to send us regular photo 'updates.' Margot liked Monique so much that she ran back to say goodbye when we were taking her home. Many thanks, Monique!”

“This was our first time having someone outside our immediate family to watch over our dog Quincy. So we weren’t sure how he would do with someone he didn’t know, especially with another dog in the house. But I knew from the first time I met up with Nafiye to meet Quincy, that everything was going to be ok. He was great with Quincy and he felt very comfortable and responded well with her. He got a long very well with her very trained dog and he had a very nice stay with her while we were out of town. We liked that it was very important to her that she spent a little bit of time with him before committing to watch g him for us. She sent pictures and videos of his stay and playing with them. We will definitely be using her in the future, if she is available.”

“Catie and her husband were able to take care of my dog when travel plans changed last minute. I was very nervous with a new sitter but they took great care of Barkley. They sent videos and pictures thru out his stay and were very responsive when I reached out to check on how he was doing. I would recommend them and use again!”

About: I've worked professionally with your K9 companions for the past 10 years! I've also worked with cats, exotic animals (small animals, reptiles, birds, etc..) and aquatics. Chickens and ducks, as well! (I’ve owned my own) I was a dog groomer for 7 years, worked in an animal hospital for 1 year, and I've had pets my whole life. Every time I meet a new furry friend, I always treat them like they're my own family. I'd like to say almost every client I have feels comfortable with me and trusts me with their pet(s), which makes me feel very grateful for such great owners that I have the pleasure of working with! I've worked and I'm very aware of pets that have disabilities (physical, blind, deaf, etc..), any allergies (food or seasonal), senior (any breed), and I'm very good with pets that have anxiety or aggression. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your convenience! I look forward to hearing from you. I currently work full time Monday through Friday, but have time after work (3:30-4pm) and during the weekends for animal care! If there are special requests where you need something during the week, I could definitely look over my schedule to see if it could work! I have a small fenced in back patio area at my apartment that can offer fresh air with the safety. There are also two wall-to-ceiling clear gates in the apartment that prevent anyone from getting into mischief!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
