“Brianna was the best! Super communicative and thoughtful, and our dog had the absolute best time. Would highly recommend her and definitely leave our dog with her again!”

“Bianka was wonderful with my dog Howie. She was responsive and provided frequent updates while he was in her care! I’d absolutely recommend Bianka to anyone in need of a dog sitter. :)”

“Andrea was super nice and managed to accomodate our last-minute Christmas booking. She kept us updated with lots of photos and videos, and our dogs looked quite happy and relaxed. Her house has a fenced-in area that they loved to play in. Most impressive of all, though, was that Andrea let the dogs into her bedroom (they are used to sleeping next to us), on Christmas no less. Our dogs seemed in great shape when we picked them up after their 3 day stay. She seems to be a very caring and careful dog sitter. We would have no hesitation in our leaving our dogs with her again. Thanks!”
“I really wanna thank justin and his family for taking great care of my noss ❤️ he was a very happy puppy while in their care and I will highly recommend them to anyone and definitely will be coming back!!!”

“My Golden had a great stay with Connie and family. She sent photos, gave updates, and we met before at a dog park to make sure our dogs got along. He was well cared for, and even sent him home with a goodie bad with some treats. They are much more like professional caretakers and couldn’t recommend enough.”

“This was my first time leaving Liam anywhere overnight. I was sad and hoping for the best out of this new experience for Liam. Bruce came out and was Super friendly with him and I could automatically tell he has a special relationship with pups. From booking Bruce was very thorough, making sure I packed everything needed. He also made sure I gave him instructions on Liam’s food. During the stay I received pictures and messages of Liam. It put me at ease seeing him and how much fun he was having on his walks. I picked up Liam and he Wouldn’t stop jumping on Bruce and wanting pets, that was a sure sign I made the right choice with Bruce. I couldn’t recommend him more.”

“Sai is a wonderful sitter! My dog Luna was so spoiled with attention! I appreciated the detailed daily video, pictures, and updates. This is our second stay with Sai and I felt totally at ease because I know Luna was well taken care of!”

About: I've owned dogs all my life and have dog sat in some capacity for family and friends for the last 10 years. I love dogs and treat each like my own. I'm reliable, flexible, and ready to work on short notice during summer. I'm willing to stay and house sit if my schedule permits. I love going for walks and hikes with pups and am not afraid to roll around on the floor for some playtime. I understand how important your pets are and will treat them as you would! I am willing to administer medicine if necessary and am flexible to other needs of your pet. Look forward to meeting you furry baby(ies)! I am a full time teacher. During the week I can let animals out early mornings and then am usually out of work by 3. My weekends are usually free. I will abide by house rules for your pet at home. If you use gates or electric collars please let me know. Happy to bring them on walks if needed.
“We had a great experience with Luci’s daycare service. From the start, communication was easy and reassuring. She shared photos and videos throughout the day, which made us feel completely at ease. Dante looked very comfortable and happy, almost like he was at home. It’s not always easy to find someone you can fully trust with your dog, but this was definitely one of those cases. We’re really glad we found her and will absolutely book again when needed. Highly recommended.”

About: I've grown up around animals my whole life, including huskies, and I spent most of my life horseback riding. I currently have a young husky named Mako, so I have daily experience with exercise, training, grooming, and keeping dogs on a consistent routine. Mako and I are home from Berklee College of Music for the summer, so we’ve been spending lots of time outside! We regularly go hiking and swimming, and at home he has access to several acres of land where he can safely explore on a supervised 100-foot lead, well away from the road. I do most of Mako's grooming myself, including bathing and brushing to prevent matting, and I'm happy to do the same for dogs in my care if requested. I have experience with reactive and aggressive dogs and can safely separate dogs if needed without making them feel left out. Mako is very friendly and loves meeting new dogs, but I pay close attention to make sure he’s not overwhelming anyone with his puppy energy. I keep a consistent schedule and will treat your dog like one of my own. There's also a vet right around the corner in case of an emergency, giving you extra peace of mind while your pet is in my care. Im back home from college right now and can give 24/7 care. I am a musician but I don't have the sleep schedule of one! Mako and I wake up at 9am and sleep by 12 at the latest. Feeding times are consistent and we spend more of the day outdoors than in. I love to write and practice outside so I will hangout on the porch or in the yard even if I'm home for the day. Mako lets me know if he needs a AC break, but he also has his favorite shady trees and kitty pool to hangout at. At my mom's farm house we have many acres of yard off of a low traffic street. It is not fenced in so I have a 100ft lead tied in the center that I clip Mako to. My mom left a patch of the yard un-mowed so the wildflowers would grow, and Mako loves to explore in the tall grass. I tick check him regularly but haven't found anything yet. I always keep him in my line of sight when I let him out on the lead. The house has lots of space and it's easy to seperate dogs if needed. I also have a large crate that Mako used to use. I uphold some basic training manners such as no table scraps, calmly walking out the front door next to or behind me, no chewing everything, etc. Im happy to take requests if there's training manners you don't want your dog to get rusty on while away. Im not certified but I know how to perform CPR and first aid on dogs. There is a vet clinic right around the corner and I can get them there within minutes incase of emergency.
“Ski was communicative, attentive, and did great with our puppy, and Yoshi had a great time with him!! Looking forward to booking with him again next time we need someone to take care of Yoshi when we’re away!”

“Stephanie was great with my dog Darla while I was away on vacation. She constantly send me images and updates on how Darla was doing. In the pictures, it was clear that Darla felt comfortable and happy. Darla is a very timid dog and takes a little while to warm up to people but I can tell she was having a good time. I would definitely recommend Stephanie to anyone deciding on leaving their dog for boarding. If I ever need boarding again, there’s no question that I would choose Stephanie! Thanks again!”

“Maria was an angel ?! She helped me with my baby Callie(who's really 9) while I worked back to back 12 hour shifts and my Mom was in the hospital. Mom's Callie Mama2 and is usually with her when I work. I can't say enough wonderful things about Maria and her care of my Callie. I would definitely recommend Maria to care for your beloved pet. Thank you to Maria and her family from me and Callie.”
“Zuleima was an awesome sitter. She sent me daily updates in lady and plenty of photos to show me that she was well taken care of. I will fully trust my dog with Zuleima again for future dog sitting needs.”

“This is the second time that Jane has stayed with Garrett and it is like she is part of the family. Garrett takes great care of her and takes her for regular walks and has playtime with other dogs, which Jane loves. Garrett is great with all dogs and we don't have to worry about her when we are away. We highly recommend Garrett.”

About: From a young age, I've carried an empathetic, playful, and nurturing nature. As an experienced in-home kitten foster, life-long cat owner, and a certified dog lover, I view responsibilities as a pleasure because I greatly value the companionship of cats and dogs of all ages, shapes, sizes, conditions, and most importantly, personalities. I follow directions steadfastly but tend to go above and beyond to ensure the comfort of your pet(s)! I am free all days of the week, at most hours of the day at the convenience of pet owners in need of assistance. I am also free to board overnight! I serve wet food and treats (different types of treats according to the pet's preference) several times a day, clean the water bowl/dispenser out daily and allot outside time every few hours. For cats, I scoop the litter every night; for dogs, I go out on long walks multiple times a day, depending on the owner's instruction. For all animals, recreational time is vital, and so I do like to play with them a lot, whether it be outside, at a dog park, and/or with any trinkets.
“Anthony is amazing! Our husky was super happy with Anthony over the long weekend. She had a lovely time. Anthony was super accommodating with our schedule as well. We received videos and photos every day. Highly recommend Anthony! We already scheduled our next boarding!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
