“Our second time leaving our dog with Elizabeth and everything went so smooth. It is a great comfort knowing he is being taken such good care of. We will be leaving him again soon! Thank you Elizabeth!”

“Will was wonderful. He was extremely flexible with meet and greet, drop off, and pick up times. He was helpful at drop off with handling of dogs and supplies. He provided pictures of stay too. All around pleasant and professional.”

“Araceli was very sweet and accommodating with my dog Bella. This was my first experience using rover and she made it as seamless as possible. She provided photo and video updates which I appreciated! I would definitely book with Araceli in the future for doggy care!”

“Davon was amazing. I outreached very impromptu and he was available for a meet and greet with Arya. ( which went well. We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon. I recommend and will use him again. 🐾💕”

About: Hi everyone. I am new to Rover as a sitter but I’ve taken care of different types of dog breeds for 5 years! Dogs are considered to be humans best friends and I treat them like they’re mine! I provide comfort and care and help each dog with anything they may need, ranging from love, to energy and any special need care the owner may have! I alter my care depending on each need to each individual dog! I am comfortable around all dogs. While also having a job as an engineer, I try to make time for my animals even if that means leaving work and coming home to make sure they have everything they need! I also have days off that need to be filled with more joy and more animals! With a lot of free time, I can make sure your fur baby is never alone and bored! I’m also new on rover as a sitter and I’m super excited to start meeting new pets! I have 2 mini golden doodle puppy one named Tobi and one named Rylee. They are as playful and energetic as they can be. I provide them with attention and energy anytime they need/ want and they control my whole world! This would be no different than taking care of your pets too! Every pet deserves love so I will provide that level of comfortability! I adapt to your pets as if they are my own.
“My dog, Atticus, age 2, had his first full day with Margaret a few days ago. He was very well taken care of including a couple of walks. He was happy to play fetch and take naps after walking. It was easy to tell by his face and composure that he had a great day...there was no visible stress when he returned home. Another dependable companion 'star' in his young life when I am not around! Many thanks, M :)”

“Noemi and Dave did an incredible job pet sitting my two elderly dogs. One of my dogs can be a bit shy and anxious but he felt right at home with Noemi and Dave. They were incredibly responsive and sent frequent updates and photos. It was clear that my pups felt comfortable and were well cared for by Noemi and Dave.”

“This was my first time boarding my puppy. We were not sure how our 4 months old puppy was going to behave but Mariana provided an excellent care to our baby. “Christine has watched our almost blind special needs shih tzu a number of times - most recently last night. Our little girl is a recent rescue with severe separation anxiety so we are always nervous about leaving her. Christine is simply AMAZING with her and we are so grateful to have found her on Rover. She is easy to work with, great communication, and sends the most adorable photos and updates to put our minds at ease. We highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her for our future needs. Thanks again Christine and Jax!!!”

She stood with my frenchies for two nights and her communication while I was away sending me pictures of my doggies and updating me on their day was so beautiful. She made me feel safe and that my dogs was in a lovin safe home I will definitely use her in the future if I need to and recommend her as well. They sent tons of photos and videos, which I really appreciated; it was so clear how happy, comfortable, and well-loved Evee was the entire time. 🥰🥰 Evee came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and treat your pet like their own. I couldn’t have asked for better sitters and would 100% trust them with Evee again. Highly recommend!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
