“Britanny did a fabulous job with Rosie! She was very responsive and kind. Her home was very welcoming and Rosie obviously loved it there. This was really a great situation for us and Rosie!!”

“Laura was excellent. She has a wonderful home for dogs and it almost felt like dropping my pup off for summer camp. He came back looking happy too. Laura was friendly, punctual and asked good questions on how to take care of my dog.”

“Cassandra & Nolan took excellent care of my Rosie girl while I was on a day trip to NYC. Frequent walks, cuddles, playtime, and plenty of photo updates. She enjoyed taking part in their holiday celebration! I will definitely book them again next time I'm in CT.”

“Maria was great! So friendly, attentive, responsive & easy to work with. You can tell she loves dogs and she took excellent care of my Remy! Knowing Remy was in good hands made it much less stressful to go on vacation. I loved getting pictures & updates and already booked her to watch Remy again. Thank you, Maria! :)”

“Sherry provided wonderful care for Denver and Bronco while we were away for 11 days. She spoiled them so much and allowed our family to truly relax and enjoy our vacation.”

“Ariel has watched Max a few times now and each time has been a great experience. Ariel keeps me updated with photos, has a giant fenced in yard for Max to roam, and accommodates any special care needs! Max always comes home happy! Would definitely recommend Ariel to others!”
“If there was a 5+ I would leave it as a review!! Anne-Marie treated Gracie as if she washer own. I was nervous to leave her at first, but Anne-Marie sent us photos of Gracie every day. She also made sure that Gracie got her medicine every day. She is awesome and we will definitely be using her again!”

“Davon was amazing. I outreached very impromptu and he was available for a meet and greet with Arya. ( which went well. We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon. I recommend and will use him again. 🐾💕”

“This was our first time using Rover and Mark and his wife answered all our questions. During our trip he kept us posted and shared photos. We are sure that Tina was in good hands and she was safe and happy with Mark and his family. Thank you so much Mark!”

“Araceli and Uciel did a fantastic job of watching my dog for a week. They took such wonderful care of him and sent pics\videos with updates every day. It was clear he had a grand time playing with their two dogs and being spoiled rotten. I will definitely be using them again when I go out of town.”

“If you are looking for a dogsitter in the area, I highly recommend that you check out Luis and Alan. We scheduled a meet and greet, and they were the most gracious of hosts. All the humans chatted inside while the dogs got to socialize with each other in the huge, fenced in back yard. There is so much room for all of them to run and play. It's obvious that Luis and Alan love dogs and enjoy what they do. They are also very prompt with communication and they'll send you pictures every day.”
“Jennifer and Inam were such great caretakers! I had a last minute trip for work and they were so flexible and accommodating on very short notice. I interacted mostly with Jennifer and I could tell how much love and care she pours into all the dogs. My pup was so sad to see her leave when it was time to go! Thank you for taking such great care of Olivia!!”

“Kathryn and Jeremy took excellent care of our dog Max while we were away for a week. From our first meeting with them, it was clear that they had experience taking care of dogs and were very understanding and knowledgable about our dogs unique care needs. We felt so comfortable leaving Max with them and when we picked him up it was clear he LOVED his time there and can't wait to see them again! Thank you Kathryn and Jeremy for taking such great care of Max!”

“Deuce can sometimes get a bit of separation anxiety when he leaves his family. He, however, was so comfortable with Maggie and Moose that he forgot about us and anxiety was gone! Maggie updated us and sent pics throughout Deuce's stay. We plan on using Maggie when we go on our next family vacation. Great job!”

“There are not enough words to rave about Nadjeska. First time leaving our dogs at a sitters house and not a kennel. She made my two dogs feel right at home and was so unbelievably kind especially to my one dog who has anxiety and separation issues. She sent pics and texts constantly and is literally the best sitter out there. I know they will be so excited to return. She made us completely comfortable leaving them with her. Huge piece of mind. Do NOT hesitate to book with her.”

“Our dog Skye is so happy to be dropped off at Wendy’s and exhausted when we pick her up. We love receiving updates and videos while we’re away too. Total peace of mind!”

About: About Me Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover and retired Los Angeles firefighter who recently relocated to Middletown. Dogs aren't just a passion of mine—they’ve been my life’s work. Over the past 17+ years, I’ve worked as a professional Search and Rescue K9 handler, raising and working alongside three incredible SAR dogs of my own and helping train dozens more toward official certification. Now in my retirement, my days revolve around outdoor adventures, active play, and giving dogs the best possible care while their owners are away. My trusty companion Mojo, a friendly rescue pup, loves meeting new playmates and welcoming guests! What Sets My Care Apart * Safe, Active, and Enriched: I walk or hike almost daily and love taking guest dogs along for the journey! Whether your pup enjoys a leisurely neighborhood stroll, learning to hike safely, or exploring new surroundings, they’ll get plenty of physical exercise and fun. * Positive, Brain-Boosting Fun: My training philosophy is rooted in positive reinforcement and reward-based training. I love watching what behaviors dogs naturally offer and shaping them into fun new "tricks." It’s an incredible bonding experience that gives dogs great mental stimulation and keeps them happily engaged. * Spacious Acreage: I have a wonderful local property with tons of room for dogs to run, play, and burn off energy in a calm, safe environment (fully fenced as of late September!). * Unmatched Peace of Mind: Being fully retired means I am almost always home! I never host or board dogs on days when I need to be away for more than a couple of hours, ensuring your pet gets round-the-clock attention, safety, and companionship. Guests and Compatibility I am completely comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and life stages—from energetic puppies to senior companions. I also occasionally foster rescue dogs, so Mojo and I are well-versed in hosting social pups who enjoy extra canine company. Need help fine-tuning your dog’s leash manners during their stay? Just ask—we can easily discuss building positive leash habits while they’re here! Reach out today to schedule a meet-and-greet. Mojo and I can’t wait to welcome your pup to their home away from home! Being retired means my entire day is built around quality pet care! Our mornings always start with a good outdoor workout, followed by short, engaging training and exercise sessions spread throughout the day. Because I am home full-time, your pup will enjoy a structured routine packed with continuous companionship, mental enrichment, and plenty of activity. Your dog’s safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. My home is nestled in a quiet, low-traffic rural area, offering a calm and peaceful setting away from busy streets. Outdoor playtime happens in a spacious, full-acre yard—completely fenced as of September 21st—giving pets a secure, massive space to run and play freely. To ensure constant security and supervision, my property is also equipped with indoor and outdoor smart cameras, so I always have an eye on my guests whether we're inside or out in the yard.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
