“Gigi had a fabulous time staying with Ariel, as evidenced by the photos of her racing around with a few of her new best dog friends that Ariel sent us each day of our six-day trip. From her description of her property, Ariel's accommodations stood out, with its big, fenced backyard and in-the-house living for dog guests. Although leash walks were an additional option, we knew Gigi would want to run and play. She came fitter, sleeker, and a happy dog. We will definitely book with her again.”

“Christopher was very accommodating and flexible. He went out of his way to pick up Cameo at a more ideal timing prior to my departure for my work trip. He sent daily updates and pictures of Cameo playing and answered any questions that I had. Cameo got lots of play time and came home happy and exhausted :)”

“My dog, Atticus, age 2, had his first full day with Margaret a few days ago. He was very well taken care of including a couple of walks. He was happy to play fetch and take naps after walking. It was easy to tell by his face and composure that he had a great day...there was no visible stress when he returned home. Another dependable companion 'star' in his young life when I am not around! Many thanks, M :)”

About: About Me Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover and retired Los Angeles firefighter who recently relocated to Middletown. Dogs aren't just a passion of mine—they’ve been my life’s work. Over the past 17+ years, I’ve worked as a professional Search and Rescue K9 handler, raising and working alongside three incredible SAR dogs of my own and helping train dozens more toward official certification. Now in my retirement, my days revolve around outdoor adventures, active play, and giving dogs the best possible care while their owners are away. My trusty companion Mojo, a friendly rescue pup, loves meeting new playmates and welcoming guests! What Sets My Care Apart * Safe, Active, and Enriched: I walk or hike almost daily and love taking guest dogs along for the journey! Whether your pup enjoys a leisurely neighborhood stroll, learning to hike safely, or exploring new surroundings, they’ll get plenty of physical exercise and fun. * Positive, Brain-Boosting Fun: My training philosophy is rooted in positive reinforcement and reward-based training. I love watching what behaviors dogs naturally offer and shaping them into fun new "tricks." It’s an incredible bonding experience that gives dogs great mental stimulation and keeps them happily engaged. * Spacious Acreage: I have a wonderful local property with tons of room for dogs to run, play, and burn off energy in a calm, safe environment (fully fenced as of late September!). * Unmatched Peace of Mind: Being fully retired means I am almost always home! I never host or board dogs on days when I need to be away for more than a couple of hours, ensuring your pet gets round-the-clock attention, safety, and companionship. Guests and Compatibility I am completely comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and life stages—from energetic puppies to senior companions. I also occasionally foster rescue dogs, so Mojo and I are well-versed in hosting social pups who enjoy extra canine company. Need help fine-tuning your dog’s leash manners during their stay? Just ask—we can easily discuss building positive leash habits while they’re here! Reach out today to schedule a meet-and-greet. Mojo and I can’t wait to welcome your pup to their home away from home! Being retired means my entire day is built around quality pet care! Our mornings always start with a good outdoor workout, followed by short, engaging training and exercise sessions spread throughout the day. Because I am home full-time, your pup will enjoy a structured routine packed with continuous companionship, mental enrichment, and plenty of activity. Your dog’s safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. My home is nestled in a quiet, low-traffic rural area, offering a calm and peaceful setting away from busy streets. Outdoor playtime happens in a spacious, full-acre yard—completely fenced as of September 21st—giving pets a secure, massive space to run and play freely. To ensure constant security and supervision, my property is also equipped with indoor and outdoor smart cameras, so I always have an eye on my guests whether we're inside or out in the yard.

“Kathryn and Jeremy took excellent care of our dog Max while we were away for a week. From our first meeting with them, it was clear that they had experience taking care of dogs and were very understanding and knowledgable about our dogs unique care needs. We felt so comfortable leaving Max with them and when we picked him up it was clear he LOVED his time there and can't wait to see them again! Thank you Kathryn and Jeremy for taking such great care of Max!”

“Great stay with fantastic photos/videos, playmates, and I can tell just how well Jenn and Inam care for all of the pups... definitely looking forward to future stays!”

“We booked Wendy at the last minute and she was great taking care of our two dogs. She took very good care of our older Shiba and our puppy Husky. They were both very clean and happy when we picked them up. Would definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Araceli and Uciel did a fantastic job of watching my dog for a week. They took such wonderful care of him and sent pics\videos with updates every day. It was clear he had a grand time playing with their two dogs and being spoiled rotten. I will definitely be using them again when I go out of town.”

“Our dog can be a little skittish with new people, but she warmed right up to Alan and Luis! On her first day, they sent us great pictures of her running and playing. It was clear that she was already settled in and having so much fun. We have to plan another trip soon, so our pup can have another vacation with Alan and Luis!”

“Nikki was terrific with my kitties as I was out of town for 8 days. She delivers and additionally left my home in tip-top shape. My cats were very well taken care of and calm upon my return. I could not ask for more.”

“WOW. Jade is fantastic! This was our first time away from our two cats. Jade stepped right in, knew all the right questions to ask, and really tried to bond/get acquainted with each of them. (We have two older cats who prefer closets and dark spaces over human interaction so we were really nervous about leaving them.) We instantly felt at ease with Jade and his confidence in taking care of our little feisty ladies. We just got home from our trip and both are happy and healthy. He even took out our trash can and brought in our mail without us having to ask. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jade, thank you for making our first trip away from our furbabies a pleasant one! We truly appreciate you!”

“Brittney was AMAZING! I’ve always been nervous in the past to use a sitter but with her experience/background and after meeting her, no doubt whatsoever! She communicated the whole time, sent tons of pictures/videos! I am so happy I was able to find her and without a doubt she will continue to be our go to person for our cats!”

I have pretty open availability throughout the week so I have lots of time to hang out with your dogs! Let me know what you need and I should be able to make it work! About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and have experienced every stage of all of their lives. Definitely not new to a majority of things!! I understand the love and care that people have for their pets and want to be able to provide that for yours. I know different dogs have different needs and I’m here to care for them!
“Karlena took wonderful care of my older cat while I was away! I would get notes and pics everyday as well as a list of things she took care of daily for her. I felt she was reliable and trustworthy while she took great care of my baby!”

“They were amazing! Even though my kitty is very shy, they stayed after refilling his water, cleaning his litter, and checking his automatic feeder, to talk to him while he his under the bed! That sweetness goes above and beyond!”

“Crystal was absolutely amazing with ELLA. ELLA took to Crystal as if she had been a part of our family forever. She was kind and nurturing understanding and genuine. I highly recommend Crystal.”

“My cat took instantly to Michelle during our get acquainted meeting. I felt very secure leaving Betsey in her care. She did not disappoint! The photos she sent showed a happy cat. I should mention that normally Betsey is very skittish. That did not show while Michelle took care of her”

“First time using Michele and she did a fantastic job with all my fur babies! I was especially concerned about the medicine, but she knows what she’s doing.🙏🏻 I found my new Pet Sitter! I’m so happy”

“Victoria is a delightful person and amazing animal whisperer. My cat went straight to V from the first visit, where as with most people and previous sitters he will ovoid and hide even people who have been to the house many times. On one occasion Victoria had to go the emergency room with her child and I could not believe that after being there for hours - she and her family came to our home around midnight to feed and play with our cat. If that’s not a strong recommendation I don’t know what is. Thanks Victoria for everything. We really value and appreciate you.”

“Mahalah was very professional with quick responses to my requests to meet and greet, she was punctual for our visit and was well prepared for our meeting. I loved that she asked all the right questions and was comfortable with mine. The best part is that Mahalah really seemed to care about her responsibility as a sitter. She was very kind to my Jazzy Cat who needed extra care and compassion due to just losing our other cat. I also received detailed updates while we were away. I would highly recommend Mahalah !”

About: I've had pets since a young age from lizards, cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, turtles, guinea pigs and birds. I have a small dog of my own so I know I can give your pets lots the love and attention too whether they have fur, scales, or feathers! I work from home so all pets get get a lot of attention during the day. For dogs staying in my home, they get 3 walks a day in the morning, during my lunch break, and in the evening. I work from home so all pets get a lot of attention during the day. I love to spend my time after work going on walks and would love a buddy(s) to come with me! I am available from dog walking or in home visits after 5:15pm during the week and anytime on weekends. I think the best way to care for a pet is do exactly what they're comfortable with. I intend to have very open communication with pet parents to understand the likes, dislikes and behaviors of their fur-babies to make sure that they feel safe and comfortable. I do have a dog of my own so I also want to make sure all your pets get along with my Jax, who loves other animals.

She took him on walks and he walked really well with her. On the second day drop off Kameron was wagging his tail as we walked inside and went straight for a prized green toy he loved. The pictures she sent were beautiful and she was very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her would absolutely use her again.”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for most of my life, including dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to help with walking, feeding, playtime, basic grooming, and keeping pets comfortable while they are away. I understand that every pet has their own routine, energy level, and personality, so I take the time to follow instructions closely and make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and cared for. I’m especially patient with shy pets, senior pets, and dogs who need a little extra time to warm up. Whether your pet loves long walks, quiet companionship, structured routines, or lots of play, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I would want for my own babies. I work remotely, which gives me flexibility to provide attentive pet care throughout the day. I can usually accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feeding routines, playtime, and check-ins depending on your pet’s needs and my schedule. I’m also available for weekend care and can work with owners to keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible. Because I’m home often, pets in my care will receive regular attention, bathroom breaks, and companionship rather than being left alone for long stretches. I’ll always discuss timing and expectations ahead of time so your pet’s care plan is clear and reliable. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will follow your instructions carefully for feeding, medication, walks, crates, routines, house rules, and any special needs. I’ll make sure doors, gates, leashes, and harnesses are secure and will never take unnecessary risks with your pet. In your home, I’ll be respectful, clean, and careful with your space. In my home, pets will have a calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention and care. I’m happy to provide updates, photos, and messages so you feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and being treated with kindness.
“This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. Evie seemed to enjoy the day, Nadjeska obviously loves dogs, and we will be repeat clients in the near future.”

About: With over 18 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and even guinea pigs, animals have always been the center of my life. I am a certified dog trainer through ABC (Animal Behavior College), where I completed coursework and hands-on mentorship training. My first Jack Russell, full of energy and determination, inspired me to become a trainer and deepened my passion for understanding animal behavior. Today, I share my home with a younger, playful pack, including another Jack Russell, and I’ve learned the importance of balancing order, safety, and discipline with letting dogs simply enjoy being dogs. I believe younger dogs benefit from observation, gentle guidance, and time to grow before intense training, so my focus is always on safe, positive, and enriching experiences. I use equipment designed for safety — such as secure belt leashes — to make sure dogs are comfortable and protected on walks. Whether it’s puppies, seniors, or high-maintenance small breeds, I have the hands-on experience to give each pet the right level of care and attention. My senior dog, who recently passed after nearly 17 years by my side, required 24/7 care during her final year. That experience taught me patience, vigilance, and the deep responsibility of caring for animals at every stage of life. Our home is designed with pets in mind — safe, welcoming, and filled with love. With a friendly resident pack, dogs here need to enjoy the company of other dogs to feel at home. Small dogs are my specialty, but I welcome pups of all kinds and treat every animal as if they were my own. The only challenge you might face? Your dog may not want to go home. My partner and I both work from home, so we’re with our dogs throughout the day. We balance our time between working indoors and enjoying the outdoors when the weather is nice, with walks and dog park visits built into our mornings and evenings. We also enjoy picnics, hikes, and other activities that include our pets, since they’re truly part of our everyday life. None of our animals are ever crated — they’re free to be with us and part of our routine at all times. We have three secure, fenced yard areas designed for different activities. One area is set aside for bathroom breaks, where pets can go on their own. The other two yards are used for supervised playtime. Inside, our dogs have access to two levels of the home. The lower level is the cat zone, and the cats also enjoy access to one of the fenced yards. All pets have free range within their spaces and spend the day with me or my partner, so they are always supervised and cared for. We don’t crate any of our own pets — they are all very friendly and used to being around both cats and dogs. I’m a very hands-on, “helicopter” type fur mom — safety, love, and care are always my top priorities. I make sure pets are mentally stimulated, and I’m always checking for ticks or any health concerns. I shared my life with two beloved dogs for nearly 17 and 15 years, and losing them a few years ago was heartbreaking. They traveled everywhere with me and showed me the depth of the bond we share with animals. Caring for pets is my greatest passion, and I feel honored every day to be in their company. I will do whatever is required to keep your animals happy and cared for as if they were my own. I will always follow your instructions closely — from feeding to routines — and will never do anything that isn’t approved by you. Your pets’ safety, comfort, and happiness come first.

About: Hi all! My name is Madison and I have many years of experience taking care of dogs and cats. I grew up with dog loving parents and we had two dogs I grew up with. I am currently working at an elementary school full time as a paraprofessional and I am looking to take this on as part time on weekends or when school has breaks. In my own home, I care for my pets with such a loving manner. I never want any animal to feel like they are uncomfortable with me. If I needed to take things slow with a dog or cat I would love to meet them prior to the owner’s leaving for their vacation or work to see if this is a good fit.

“Britanny took care of our 12year old french bulldog Izzy. She was fantastic and we believe Izzy was having fun with the family and other dogs. Britanny took the time to send us pictures while we were away and update us on her stay. We will definitely be booking with Britanny again.”

“Laura did a fantastic job with our 8-month-old Great Dane, who was anxious about being left alone. She provided plenty of updates and reassurance while taking excellent care of our pup!”

“You know you have a great sitter when you dogs are just as excited to see you as they are them! Sherry was great when them and we are so grateful to have found her.”

“Cassandra & Nolan took excellent care of my Rosie girl while I was on a day trip to NYC. Frequent walks, cuddles, playtime, and plenty of photo updates. She enjoyed taking part in their holiday celebration! I will definitely book them again next time I'm in CT.”

“Davon was amazing. Constant communication and updates with photos showed Frankie had an amazing time. He was extremely comfortable and enjoyed every second of it. Would definitely book again in the near future. 10 out of 10 experience.”

“Mark and his family were so great with Cooper! I needed someone to watch him last might and Mark and his family were willing to help me out. They were very accommodating and sent regular updates. I'm so thankful to have found them! Thank you so much!”

“We booked Wendy at the last minute and she was great taking care of our two dogs. She took very good care of our older Shiba and our puppy Husky. They were both very clean and happy when we picked them up. Would definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“My Golden had a great stay with Connie and family. She sent photos, gave updates, and we met before at a dog park to make sure our dogs got along. He was well cared for, and even sent him home with a goodie bad with some treats. They are much more like professional caretakers and couldn’t recommend enough.”

“Mandy took great care of my dog, Rosie, and my two cats Jesse and Lucy. I will definitely use her services again in the future. Mandy is a lovely and kind girl. I am very grateful to you. Thanks again for taking such good care of my babies.”

“Maggie was so great with our dog while we were away for a weekend. He was well taken care of and we loved receiving photo updates each day while we were gone. We would highly recommend Maggie to anyone who needs boarding/doggy day care”

“Julius and family took good care of our dog. Julius is super-responsive and sent several cute pictures of the visit. It looked like everyone got along well and were very active. Our dog came home exhausted, which is a good thing. We also needed to adjust the end time a little bit, and Julius was very accommodating of the last minute change.”
