Anne Marie was excellent! She came to meet Ralph in advance on short notice, which was very helpful for us. Ralph took to her very quickly, and she was prompt with the visits, sent us photos, and fed our cats as well. We will definitely be using her again. Great experience.

Brittany has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She is friendly, professional, reliable, and always on time. From the very beginning, she developed a wonderful connection with our dog, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she works with. Brittany is attentive, trustworthy, and communicates well, which gave us complete peace of mind knowing our dog was in great hands. Our dog is always excited to see her and comes back happy and well cared for after every walk. We truly appreciate Brittany’s dedication, kindness, and dependability. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and responsible dog walker. She has exceeded our expectations, and we are grateful to have found her! 🐾❤️

About: I have grown up around dogs, my childhood pet was a Great Dane, and I now own a Great Pyrenees. I love all kinds of animals no matter what size. I love to walk my dog Luna, and training her to walk with me was no easy feat but she's amazing now. Building relationships with animals has always been a passion for me growing up. I am currently working part-time, and I am also a university student going for Nursing part-time. I do commute to school so I am flexible. I have a rescued Great Pyrenees, she's now 2 years old, and loves sleeping, playing, and being with family. She's great with kids and dog-friendly.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have owned dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve also had cats for over 10 years, giving me experience with pets of different ages, personalities, and needs. Caring for animals comes naturally to me, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. What sets me apart is the level of attention and care I give every pet. I understand that each animal is unique, so I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities to make them feel comfortable and safe while you’re away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I’m happy to provide the care they need. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. My goal is to treat every pet as if they were my own and give owners peace of mind through reliable, loving care and regular updates. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m available throughout the week for visits, feeding, playtime, walks, and companionship. I make it a priority to stick to each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. Whether it’s a quick check-in or spending extra time giving your pet attention and affection, I’m committed to providing reliable and consistent care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their familiar environment. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medications, playtime, and any special care needs. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and personality so I can provide care that feels consistent and reassuring. I also make sure pets always have access to fresh water, receive plenty of attention and affection, and remain secure while I’m in the home. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for both your pet and your home. I treat every home with respect, keep owners updated with messages and photos, and strive to provide dependable care so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I am an exceptional dog trainer which is another service that I provide. I don't mind working with troubled or hard cases. Raised dogs half my life. Used to be deeply involved with different rescue operations and local vets to do what I can for these pups. Also have experience with dog boarding at corporate facilities however I run everything right out of my home. So it's more like visiting your pups uncle Marco rather than a lil puppy prison. My other day job is taking care of my handicapped mother so no reason that I can't take care if some furry balls of move too while I'm at it! I'm home often which is where I board and watch the puppers. So we have a fenced in back yard and a large house. My mother does smoke but only upstairs and in her room. Bad mother! However its relatively isolated and isnt noticeable from downstairs. We have a 5 year old labrador retriever and small house cat to keep any visitors entertained! They are both very playful, gentle and non aggressive

I absolutely love animals and taking care of them is my true passion. I understand how anxiety inducing leaving your pets can be when you go on vacation and I promise to take care of them like I do my own. I’m available on weekends and any time on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s. I work from 8:30am - 5pm on Tuesday’s and Fridays so I’m only available early in the morning and after 5 pm. About: I have been using Rover on and off for years and have met so many amazing dogs and their owners. I am active and love to be outside. I grew up with pets and am very compassionate towards all animals, especially dogs and cats. I have taken care of neighbors' dogs and homes while growing up. I live in North Branford with my fiancé, our cat Charlie and our dog Roz. Charlie came from a shelter and loves to be around other animals. Sometimes she can act like a dog herself. Roz was adopted from Save-A-Lab and is the sweetest girl. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have! I look forward to meeting your pet! I’m a personal trainer so I am typically available between 11 am and 4 pm. With so much free time on my hands and my love for being active, I decided I’d walk dogs part-time! If a dog is outside in their fenced yard, I’ll never take my eyes off of them. Ya never know if they’ve been plotting their escape! 😏 I always keep a dog on a leash. I prefer a non-retractable leash.

About: I have been a for-hire pet care-taker (Dogs & Cats primarily) for over 16 years now. Recently with two dogs of my own, I know exactly what it takes to show the love and care that your pet needs to not only feel safe but enjoy their stay! Since having to put both of my best friends (Tanzi and Spencer) down, This Rover app has really helped heal myself by having the opportunity to care for your pets. Losing a fur baby is never easy, but thank you for the opportunity to share in the love for your pets! I currently work full time as a salesman but luckily have been afforded the opportunity to work remote which means my schedule is wide open! As every pet is different, part of my process is having a “Pre-care Planning” call with all of my clients. This is where we discuss special needs, preferences, etc. My job is delivering the same level of care your pet would receive by you, the Pet Parent!

About: It's important to know that someone cares about your pet when hiring them, i'd love the opportunity to take care of your furry family member! I've always had pets in the house since I was a kid and so it feels like second nature to take care of pets. I grew up with dogs, and now have a cat of my own and we are obsessed with our little Roo. It makes me feel so much better when I know he is in good hands when we are away, and so I would like to be that for you and your pet! I currently work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule during the week! I can create my own schedule that will work for the both of us. I first want to make sure I know all of the ins and outs of what my clients needs are for their pet. They are the ones who know the most about their animal and once I know what they need, I am very proactive and communicative about making sure their pet is safe and cared for. Open communication is key!

Kaitlin was excellent; From the beginning she made me feel assured that she was doing this for the right reason - she showed she cared about my dog through a simple text, I know Evie had a great walk because she's still sleeping and its been over 3 hours since she got back. That makes me happy. Kaitlin was on time, friendly, and Evie seemed to have a great time with her. That's the most important part. So yes, I would recommend Kaitlin.

Connor did an outstanding job taking care of Willow. He came to our home to meet her prior to his care date. He anticipated our dog’s need to know and trust him so he asked if he could bring her treats and even asked about possible food allergies. During our meet and greet he was kind, patient, very loving towards our dog, asked appropriate questions, and took the time to take a walk to strengthen his bond with Willow. I knew right away that he was trustworthy and quite capable of handling our sometimes wary Great Pyrenees. On the care date, Connor arrived for two walks on time, followed my instructions, sent me pictures and updates as to how our dog was doing, tracked the walk so I could see where they went, and even fed her as well as my two cats! He left the house immaculate and we returned home to a very happy dog. I highly recommend Connor and will definitely hire him again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
