My experience and passion for all walks of life is vast and reins back to childhood. You can expect great communication and loving care! My availability is based off the needs of your loved one. I am available with open arms to welcome your pet any day or time. I truly believe that each living being deserves love and respect. We are all blessed with a personality and it’s the care takers job to support each pet based off their individualized needs.

About: I've pet-sat for dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, and guinea pigs since 2001. My sittings have ranged from a few hours to two weeks. I've sat for family, friends, and many parents here on Rover. My family has included two cats, Cleopatra and Caesar, and dogs Valentine, Athos, and Teddy. My goal as a sitter is to offer stability and enrichment while their parent is away. I'm available for drop-ins and overnights and happy to care for your home during the stay, watering plants, etc. My schedule is very flexible outside of my 9-5 at Yale. Why I love pet sitting Who doesn't love some fuzzy company? And I understand from watching our family pets how disorienting a kennel can be. In-home sitting puts pets (and you!) at ease when you're away, so they can enjoy the "vacation" just as much as you can! My experience administering medication I've given pill medication via pill packs and oral liquid medication via syringe. If your dog requires medication, happy to discuss. (In case you're wondering why my testimonials haven't been updated recently, it's because I took a break from Rover to be more available to sit for family and friends. Sadly, some of those lovely pets have passed away now. It means though that I have the availability to return to Rover and I'm happy to be back!) In my initial meeting with a family, I like to get a sense of the pet's routine to determine if I can recreate that for them while their parent is away. My schedule, aside from my 9-5, is dictated by the pet's needs. I prefer to care for a pet in their own home. Before accepting a new client, I like to meet the pet and the parent(s) to make sure we're all vibing. I determine routine/schedule/likes/dislikes with the parent(s) in advance and stay in touch if something needs to deviate, which is rare.

About: I am very punctual and am responsible. I have taken care of dogs all my life and love animals. I have rescued plenty of stray dogs and that is one of my lifetime goals. I do believe in treating all animals with the same care and respect. One of my special skills is I can take care of any dog. No matter the size or the amount of work needed, I will make sure your dog receives the same love and affection you desire for it to have. You will not find anyone more loving and caring about dogs than I am. I also have a bunch of energy and love to play with energetic dogs. I am also great with older dogs who would much rather take it easy. I have extensive knowledge in dog sitting. I used to work for Pups Pet Club and through the organization I’ve learned how to take care of dogs any size.

About: I haveI have been taking care of a variety of different animals for my whole life. Many families have trusted me to watch, walk, bathe, and play with their pets over the years. I love animals more than anything and would be honored to look after your pets! I am a full time student and work part time, but I still have endless availability to watch your loved ones! I live in a very quiet neighborhood with many open areas to take your pets on walks/out for playtime! My yard has one open side with fencing, however there are no other pets so your babies will have my full attention.

About: I have spent 10 years of my life taking care of my own animals and families pet. On top of schooling to provide the best care possible. Currently part time, my availability is Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Hours can be interchangeable; never be afraid to ask :). Completely free those days to be attentive to your pets. I’ve had dogs all my life. I know how to play with animals for maximum exercise, can follow dietary instructions and have a deep rooted love for all species. About: I have been around and caring for animals my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of pets and their individual needs. I’ve had many different types of animals of my own, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, and more, and I’ve also regularly cared for pets belonging to friends, family, neighbors, and multiple families. I’m very attentive and will follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. Since my schedule is so open, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention rather than rushing through a visit. I’m also happy to spend extra time with them if they need companionship, exercise, or reassurance. I treat every pet and every home with the same care and respect I would want for my own.

About: I have been housesitting, dog and cat sitting for about 15 years now as a side gig. I have several references and usually rely on word of mouth referrals. I am free most weekends and holidays, with some flexibility during the week for drop in visits. I live in the New Haven area but am willing to travel for gigs. I am happy to house-sit but am unable to bring pets into my home. I am good with animals of all types and have extensive experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages.

My senior dog, who recently passed after nearly 17 years by my side, required 24/7 care during her final year. Our home is designed with pets in mind — safe, welcoming, and filled with love. With a friendly resident pack, dogs here need to enjoy the company of other dogs to feel at home. Small dogs are my specialty, but I welcome pups of all kinds and treat every animal as if they were my own. The only challenge you might face? Your dog may not want to go home. My partner and I both work from home, so we’re with our dogs throughout the day. We balance our time between working indoors and enjoying the outdoors when the weather is nice, with walks and dog park visits built into our mornings and evenings. We also enjoy picnics, hikes, and other activities that include our pets, since they’re truly part of our everyday life. None of our animals are ever crated — they’re free to be with us and part of our routine at all times. We have three secure, fenced yard areas designed for different activities. One area is set aside for bathroom breaks, where pets can go on their own. The other two yards are used for supervised playtime. Inside, our dogs have access to two levels of the home. The lower level is the cat zone, and the cats also enjoy access to one of the fenced yards. All pets have free range within their spaces and spend the day with me or my partner, so they are always supervised and cared for. We don’t crate any of our own pets — they are all very friendly and used to being around both cats and dogs. I’m a very hands-on, “helicopter” type fur mom — safety, love, and care are always my top priorities. I make sure pets are mentally stimulated, and I’m always checking for ticks or any health concerns. I shared my life with two beloved dogs for nearly 17 and 15 years, and losing them a few years ago was heartbreaking. They traveled everywhere with me and showed me the depth of the bond we share with animals. Caring for pets is my greatest passion, and I feel honored every day to be in their company.
