“Raeven is soooo good with my fur baby Rocky. She has a calmness with Rocky and also gives great tips and advice to make my dog’s walking experience even better. I’m so grateful for her.”

“Mary has done an excellent job. She shows up on time and gives our dog a nice walk. He seems glad to see her on those occasions when my wife was home at walk time. Happy to suggest her to others.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 13 years old. Family and friends always ask me for help. I have grown up around animals and know their behaviors. I take care of 2 indoor cats on my own. I also help my mom and grandma with the strays around our house taking them to the vet spaying/neutering them. I originally wanted to be a veterinarian and did shadowing at the Northford Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Minott and dealt with medication and nail clipping. I understand the signs and situations of an animal that is scared or feels danger. I have helped foster kittens and puppies from strays, preparing them to be adopted. My mom has worked at the Central Veterinary Hospital for many years. She has taken me to work many times showing me the ins and outs of the hospital. I also have experience with oral medication helping my mom with our dogs! I’m enrolled into The University of Tampa full time, but I have the entire summer free from June-August. I am an active person and would love spending time out side with your pet! In your home I will respect your property/privacy. Whatever you need me to do for your furry pet I will do! I will make sure they’re safe, loved and cared for!
About: Hello Rover customers, I have taken care of pets since I was a child and have taken care of my family’s fur babies since my kids were small. I am currently left with my senior cat at home but would love to take great care of your beloved fur babies. I am currently self employed and work part time during the weekdays. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate as needed with enough notice! I have a fenced in yard for my animals if needed but I am very careful in customer’s homes and make sure to not leave without checking my surroundings first so no animals gets out the door.

About: I am a veterinary nurse as well as a certified dog trainer. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and will treat your pup as one of my own! I work from home. I do virtual dog training sessions and only work one day out of the house, so very easy for me to take care of your pup in between sessions. We have a fenced in yard with plenty of toys as well as going for daily walks in our very safe neighborhood. I also have two very friendly medium size pups who love to play.
“Melanie made a great first impression for us! She extended thoughtful details, did a pre-meet / greet, and connected with my pup well! (he’s a hyper boy, and can be fearful/bark w new people). She arrives on time and puts us at ease knowing Blue will be well cared for. Grateful for weekly walks.”

About: I grew up in a family with more pets than humans and loved every moment of it. Meeting new pups and kitties is my favorite way to spend a weekend :) I’m currently working part time and love to break the day up with a dog walk. Available for weekend house sitting and drop by visits. I’m always down for a stroll around the neighborhood with your dog or hours of feather wand games with your cat. Like most fur babies, I’m a total homebody and happy to hang out for hours giving head scratches.
“Layla is amazing! Our pup loves her and she has been very prompt and reliable for walks. She also happens to be very knowledgeable about animals and has a great deal of experience. She’s walking our dog and also helping with training which has been amazing. I highly recommend her services!”

About: My name is allie and I am going into my junior year at Elon University as a Psychology major and Business Administration minor. I have a cat who is 13 and a dog who is 9. I have adored taking care and spending time with animals for as long as I can remember. I am on summer break so I will be available almost anytime during the summer. Although I go back to school August 31st, I will notify of any times I will be unavailable ahead of time. I have a fenced yard as well as a dog and a cat to keep your pets company. I have a crate which can fit small-medium dogs. I also have lots of delicious treats!
About: What sets me apart is my professional medical animal care experience and genuine love for pets. I’ve worked as a veterinary technician assistant with dogs, cats, and horses, and I am currently studying for my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. I provide patient, reliable, loving care and treat every pet like family while prioritizing their safety, comfort, and happiness. Pet care fits well into my current routine. I am a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student, and I am currently on summer break. I also work a part-time job and have a couple of clinical rotations lined up, but overall my schedule is quite flexible. This allows me to dedicate consistent, attentive time to pet care and adjust to the specific needs and routines of each pet. I prioritize reliability and making sure every pet receives the care, attention, and consistency they need while their family is away. I provide care in my client’s home, where pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s established routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box care, playtime, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I am attentive to each pet’s behavior and needs, and I make sure they feel safe, calm, and cared for while their family is away. Because I am a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student, I am comfortable caring for pets with a range of needs and can recognize when something seems off. I also make sure to keep the home clean, secure, and respected, and I provide regular updates so owners feel confident and connected while they’re gone.
“Andrea took Harry for good long walks and really engaged with him. She shared photos and videos and was really great to communicate with. Highly recommend her!”

“We don’t have a very easy dog to walk but Rebecca did a great job making him feel comfortable and get plenty of exercise and time outside! She gave us great feedback on ways to help in the future with a scared stressed dog and we will definitely have her walk our dog in the future!”

“Jasmine took my dog for walks for a whole weekend while I was stuck on crutches. She was always prompt, communicative, and friendly. She sent several pictures each walk, and my dog grew excited to see her and it was clear he liked her a lot! Highly recommend Jasmine!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
