About: It's important to know that someone cares about your pet when hiring them, i'd love the opportunity to take care of your furry family member! I've always had pets in the house since I was a kid and so it feels like second nature to take care of pets. I grew up with dogs, and now have a cat of my own and we are obsessed with our little Roo. It makes me feel so much better when I know he is in good hands when we are away, and so I would like to be that for you and your pet! I currently work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule during the week! I can create my own schedule that will work for the both of us. I first want to make sure I know all of the ins and outs of what my clients needs are for their pet. They are the ones who know the most about their animal and once I know what they need, I am very proactive and communicative about making sure their pet is safe and cared for. Open communication is key!
About: I currently volunteer at an animal shelter and love working with dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and demeanors! I also have some basic training experience through my dog trainer, who also specializes in service work and behavioral training. My personal dog, Toffee (basset hound!), lived to be 16, and my favorite time with her was the patient walks and TLC needed as she got older--happy to support your senior animals too:) A couple other tidbits: I have experience working with farm animals (chickens, ducks, goats, and alpacas!) and majored in Environmental Science in college. Looking forward to meeting your furry ones! I currently work part-time remotely, so my schedule has lots of flexibility. I will balance my time with pet care through Rover and at the animal shelter, so I am happy to work with you to find good times (evenings and weekends included, depending on when). I prefer to meet or provide care at your home, but I also live in a very walkable neighborhood and have a dog park nearby. I currently live in an apartment, but have access to a fenced-in yard and a sprinkler for the hotter days. While I do not currently have a crate in my personal vehicle, I am happy to get one if you are more comfortable. I also have close friends with dogs and cats if play dates are helpful too!
About: Growing up we’ve always had pets of our own. My mother fostered all kind of animals for our local rescue. My house has never been without a pet. We adopted a rescue dog and foster for the rescue. My household is experienced with dogs of all types and sizes. I am currently working part time as a licensed massage therapist. My office is one mile from my home. I am able to come home to take dogs outside for a pee break. My husband works 3rd shift and is home during the day. Your pet will benefit from our work schedules and have limited time alone. My yard is not fenced in so I use 25 foot leads in the yard. I also enjoy multiple walks a day. Doug, our rescue, is dog friendly but also savvy. He is accustom to having fosters in our home, pack walks and not food aggressive. I understand your pet may be confused and stressed while in a different home. I will do my best to be accommodating and compassionate to your pet. I have multiple sized crates, if your dog would find that comfortable. But if your pet would prefer to sleep in bed with a snuggly human, that is always an option.
