About: Ive had years of experience between puppies to senior dogs. All deserve the same love. I've had a litter of 8 puppies 11 years ago and it taught me more than any book could. I still have one from that litter to this day. All dogs are different and need to be catered to independently. They all have their own love language. I work part time and its flexible, so I'm looking to fill the gaps with zoomies, pets, treats and love from dogs and other animals. In home, I have a large fenced yard, but prefer a walk so we both get exercise. Clients homes depend on what they have available.

“Jeanne is wonderful. Checks all the obvious boxes – reliable, trustworthy, punctual, etc. But most importantly,IMO, incredibly patient and kind. I don’t need Jeanne’s services terribly often, so there are usually big blocks of time in between her visits with Sadie. She’s always so patient in allowing Sadie to take her time and get reacquainted. Equally sensitive to her comfort as to getting the walk done and the business taken care of. I’m grateful to have found her.”

“It’s been a blessing finding Alex!! I’ve never seen my dog warm up to someone as quickly as he warmed up to Alex. She’s patient and understands our dog is a little reactive but works with him nonetheless. Everytime we use Alex, my partner and I say how relieved we are that we found someone we can trust with our fur baby. Thank you, Alex!”

“Jen was absolutely amazing. I was a dunce and forgot I had my old address in my profile and she was gracious enough to come to our actual place to still complete the walk even though she had arrived at my old place already. My dog is reactive to other dogs while on leash and I witnessed first hand how well she handled her while seeing another dog. I’m looking forward to using her services regularly!!”

About: I have experience caring for a variety of pets, including dogs and cats. My responsibilities have included feeding, providing fresh water, walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes and living areas, administering medications when needed, and ensuring pets receive plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. I am attentive to each pet's individual needs and prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. I am reliable, patient, and committed to providing loving, responsible care while owners are away. I’m currently unemployed while my children are in daycare and after school programs. Outside of appointments I’m free spending time with my cats and my females kittens I currently have 2 black cats. My female whom I rescued recently was pregnant and had 6 babies(3 weeks old) I’ve also had dogs and cats in my past. I love animals. My home is clean and organized.
“Heather is wonderful! Maizie cozied up to her immediately, and it's super-clear she and Heather have a tight bond even after just a couple of walks (and belly rubs..). And I get to come home at the end of the day to a very happy and calm pup.”

“Pauline helped me out last minute when I needed to work unexpectedly. She did a great job with my two dogs one of whom is scared around new people. She was reliable, patient with them, and communicative, which I really appreciated!”

“Dominique was an amazing dog walker! She was communicative, always answering questions promptly and showing up on time. Chester, our poodle loved her and the walks she provided. I highly recommend Dominique!”

“Anna was great! She was available, prompt, friendly, and helped to make my pup feel comfortable. She saved the day for me and was available when others were not! Would highly recommend”

About: Hi there—my name is Jordan! I've been caring for pets since I was young. I have experience with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, and reptiles. I currently have an 8 year old cat named Walter and a 15 year old turtle named Lucille. Walter has a heart condition which requires medication every 12 hours so I am well versed with administering meds. I will always abide by your pet’s feeding schedules, walk times, medication administration (if needed), and any training or house rules you’ve put in place. I treat your home with the same respect and consideration I give my own. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, and painting. I love the outdoors so I'm prepared to give your dog tons of exercise. I also love to lounge around, so I’m happy to adjust my energy to match your pet’s. After each walk or drop-in visit, I’ll send you a detailed update with plenty of photos. For overnight stays, I typically send three updates per day but I’m happy to adjust that based on your preferences. I know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. I do everything I can to help you rest assured that your pet is in caring hands. My work hours are 8am-5pm Mon, Tues, & Thurs. I'm off Wed, Fri, Sat, & Sun. I am flexible and can often do short notice/emergency jobs. I will abide by all of your requests and be nothing but a safe space for your animal. Your pet will always be my top priority.
About: Caring for animals has been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home that always had two dogs at a time, and before moving out, my family had raised six wonderful dogs together. From energetic pups to older companions, I’ve experienced the full range of what it means to care for dogs through different stages of life. I currently share my home with two special-needs cats, which has taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. Managing medications, monitoring behavior changes, and creating a calm, safe environment are all things I take seriously. My primary goal when caring for your pet is simple: I want them to feel happy, secure, and relaxed while you’re away. I also know how important peace of mind is for owners. I’m communicative, reliable, and happy to provide updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe and cared for. I treat every animal with gentleness, respect, and the kind of attention I would want for my own pets. I work remotely in IT for a nonprofit organization, which gives me a very flexible weekday schedule. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy having some furry company during the week. Whether that means a midday walk to break up my workday or a fuzzy companion nearby while I’m at my desk. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m happy to structure my schedule around walks, feeding times, medication needs, or check-ins. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches, and you can expect consistent updates while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your routines and instructions carefully. I follow feeding schedules, medication needs, walking routines, and house rules closely so your pet’s world feels as consistent and familiar as possible while you’re away. I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident everything is going smoothly. If your pet stays in my home, their comfort and safety are my top priorities. They will have their own dedicated space in my finished basement office that is clean, hazard-free, and separate from my cats. This allows visiting pets to relax without feeling overwhelmed, and ensures everyone stays safe and stress-free. The space includes a comfortable couch just for them, plenty of room to stretch out, and a calm environment away from household noise. I’m home during the day, so they’ll receive regular supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and attention, balanced with quiet time to rest.

“Mikayla was awesome with Mia! Great communication and took tons of pictures. Mia was super comfortable around her and they got lots of steps in. If we are in the area again we will definitely reach out. Thank you! :)”

About: Gentle, patient, and totally fluent in meows! I know every cat has their own unique personality, and I’m here to keep yours purring with proper care, playtime, and a stress-free feeding routine. Whether they’re shy or social, I’ll treat them like royalty. I am a teacher who is on summer break and have a lot of flexibility to walk, watch, play and snuggle with your furry friends! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m dependable, respectful of your home, and always follow care instructions to the letter. Whether it's locking up securely, sticking to routines, or giving meds on time, you can trust that your pet and your space are in responsible, caring hands.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Branford Center
Layla took excellent care of our little pup and was really flexible and highly responsive when our plans changed. Our dog has a bit of separation anxiety but we notice even after a multi day absence when we come back after Layla’s care she is very relaxed. We highly recommend her.

Kaitlin was excellent; From the beginning she made me feel assured that she was doing this for the right reason - she showed she cared about my dog through a simple text, I know Evie had a great walk because she's still sleeping and its been over 3 hours since she got back. That makes me happy. Kaitlin was on time, friendly, and Evie seemed to have a great time with her. That's the most important part. So yes, I would recommend Kaitlin.

Connor did an outstanding job taking care of Willow. He came to our home to meet her prior to his care date. He anticipated our dog’s need to know and trust him so he asked if he could bring her treats and even asked about possible food allergies. During our meet and greet he was kind, patient, very loving towards our dog, asked appropriate questions, and took the time to take a walk to strengthen his bond with Willow. I knew right away that he was trustworthy and quite capable of handling our sometimes wary Great Pyrenees. On the care date, Connor arrived for two walks on time, followed my instructions, sent me pictures and updates as to how our dog was doing, tracked the walk so I could see where they went, and even fed her as well as my two cats! He left the house immaculate and we returned home to a very happy dog. I highly recommend Connor and will definitely hire him again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
