About: I bring over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes. From newborn puppies to Yorkies, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, and Great Danes, I’ve raised, trained, and supported dogs at every stage of life. I genuinely love what I do, and I treat every dog in my care like family, providing a safe, attentive, and nurturing environment you can trust. 🐾 Pet care is a natural and consistent part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule to ensure I have plenty of time for walks, feedings, playtime, and one-on-one attention throughout the day. I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings, which allows me to be flexible with different care needs, whether that’s early walks, midday check-ins, or overnight care. I also make sure dogs are never left alone for extended periods and receive regular supervision and engagement. Because I genuinely enjoy being around dogs, I prioritize creating a routine that keeps them active, comfortable, and well cared for while fitting seamlessly into my day. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm, structured environment in every home I work in, whether it’s mine or my client’s. I take the time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and specific needs so I can provide care that feels consistent and stress-free for them. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-safe space with plenty of supervision, regular potty breaks, exercise, and playtime. I’m mindful of feeding schedules, allergies, and any special instructions to ensure each dog stays healthy and comfortable. Dogs are never left unattended for long periods, and I create a relaxed environment where they can feel at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and stick closely to their established routines to keep their pet at ease. I also provide regular updates, photos, and clear communication so owners feel confident and connected while they’re away. With my 30+ years of experience, I’m attentive to behavior, quick to notice changes, and always prepared to handle situations calmly and responsibly. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and secure at all times.

About: As a lifelong dog owner and proud owner of a golden retriever, I understand the love and care these furry friends deserve. I am passionate about providing the best companionship, exercise, and attention to your dog—just like I do for my own. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or cuddles, I’m dedicated to making sure your dog feels loved, safe, and happy. Let me be your trusted partner in caring for your pup and giving them the attention they deserve! I’m an educator and currently have an open summer schedule to give your dog plenty of love and attention. I am open for a daily or weekly care plan. The way I care for pets, whether in my own home or a client's, depends on their specific needs and the services provided. I prioritize safety, love, and attention. I ensure they have water and food. I tailor activities to their age, breed, and health requirements—like walks, playtime, or cuddles. If I'm caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their instructions carefully and keep open communication to ensure everything runs smoothly.

About: Hello there. I have been boarding dogs for over 10 years and have many regular customers. Before that I always had a dog. I am a dog lover that will treat your dog like my own. I have decided not to board dogs and stay at owners home from now on. Also I do dog walking. Safety is my number one priority while dog sitting and dog walking. I also take the dogs for daily walk. You can relax and go on vacation and know your dog is well taken care for. I send updates via text with pictures and videos to my customers so they can be sure their pup is having just as fun during his week as the client is. Looking for a mature, responsible house sitter, that does it all... look no further, send me a text. Look forward to hearing from you! I work another job part time so I am flexible when it comes down to scheduling walks or dog sitting overnight. I only work 20 hours a week I make sure dogs are well fed and get plenty of exercise. I spend at least a half hour with the dogs from drop in visits

Our dog is not quick to make friends, but Ileana knew exactly how to make her feel comfortable from the beginning, and managed her reactivity expertly on walks. She was also prompt, communicative, and flexible with us. Could not recommend her enough!

About: Hey there I’m Angie , your friendly neighborhood pet sitter with over a decade of experience in caring for furry companions. I've been surrounded by animals my whole life, from dogs and cats to chickens and reptiles. My passion for pets led me to pursue a hobby in pet care, where I gained invaluable knowledge about animal behavior and health. Whether it's walking, feeding, or providing cuddles, I prioritize the well-being and happiness of each pet entrusted to my care. With a keen eye for detail and a compassionate heart, I ensure every furry friend feels safe and loved in their own home while their owners are away. When I'm not busy pampering pets, you can find me exploring nature trails with my own furry companions or curled up with a good book and a cup of tea. Let me be your go-to pet sitter, where your pets become part of my extended family. I currently work from home and take classes in the evening, on my spare time I relax with my fur baby, I’ve had my cat for 4 years but always have had animals in my life. There is a dog park where I live which makes it easy to walk during the day, I also have a back patio where we can sit and just get some fresh air, there’s cat towers and toys here for any cat needing some excitement.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 13. I also have experience with quite a few animals due to being raised in a home with multiple different animals. I am currently per diem at work so I have a bigger availability for pet sitting. My schedule is more open in that case, making it the best fit. I am very attentive and cater to the pets needs. With the experience that I have it does not make things difficult for me in both matters.

About: Caring for animals has been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home that always had two dogs at a time, and before moving out, my family had raised six wonderful dogs together. From energetic pups to older companions, I’ve experienced the full range of what it means to care for dogs through different stages of life. I currently share my home with two special-needs cats, which has taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. Managing medications, monitoring behavior changes, and creating a calm, safe environment are all things I take seriously. My primary goal when caring for your pet is simple: I want them to feel happy, secure, and relaxed while you’re away. I also know how important peace of mind is for owners. I’m communicative, reliable, and happy to provide updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe and cared for. I treat every animal with gentleness, respect, and the kind of attention I would want for my own pets. I work remotely in IT for a nonprofit organization, which gives me a very flexible weekday schedule. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy having some furry company during the week. Whether that means a midday walk to break up my workday or a fuzzy companion nearby while I’m at my desk. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m happy to structure my schedule around walks, feeding times, medication needs, or check-ins. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches, and you can expect consistent updates while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your routines and instructions carefully. I follow feeding schedules, medication needs, walking routines, and house rules closely so your pet’s world feels as consistent and familiar as possible while you’re away. I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident everything is going smoothly. If your pet stays in my home, their comfort and safety are my top priorities. They will have their own dedicated space in my finished basement office that is clean, hazard-free, and separate from my cats. This allows visiting pets to relax without feeling overwhelmed, and ensures everyone stays safe and stress-free. The space includes a comfortable couch just for them, plenty of room to stretch out, and a calm environment away from household noise. I’m home during the day, so they’ll receive regular supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and attention, balanced with quiet time to rest.

About: I grew up on a farm with goats, cats, dogs, and a chinchilla. Taking care of pets is second nature to me and as a child free millennial, I have all the time and love to give. My cat Karen will attest to this and would love to share the attention with other pets and get me out of her hair (quite literally). I currently work 8:30-5 M-F, but have plenty of time in the evenings and weekends to spend time with your kitties! I may even be available on my lunch break depending on location. I would love to build trust and comfortability with your cats prior to drop ins. It’s important for us to be comfortable with each other, and I encourage all pets to interview me thoroughly before signing on.

Jen was absolutely amazing. I was a dunce and forgot I had my old address in my profile and she was gracious enough to come to our actual place to still complete the walk even though she had arrived at my old place already. My dog is reactive to other dogs while on leash and I witnessed first hand how well she handled her while seeing another dog. I’m looking forward to using her services regularly!!

Where do I begin, Lizzy was amazing…I had hip replacement surgery and Lizzy walked my boy Jack for over 2 weeks. Lizzy was easy to work with and made it easy for me to recover from my surgery and not stress on caring for Jack. She would feed him after his morning walk and doled out treats following his afternoon & evening walks. I have already referred several people in my building to Lizzy. I didn’t want to tell her but she she definitely be charging more 🤣 If you need a trustworthy person to care for your Furr babies then Lizzy is your girl.

My dog can be picky with strangers, but she loves Yunwen. Yunwen is super sweet—she took my pup to a big grassy field to play, and brought water so she could drink on the way. I can’t say enough good things about Janalie! She was very attentive, reliable, and kind. I travelled for the 4th of July weekend and she came three times a day to walk my dog and feed her. She even gave me updates on my cat and lizard! She was always on time and gave me plenty of photos and detailed notes. She even offered to help if my plane got delayed/had any issues which was incredibly kind. She made me feel really reassured - thank you for that! If friends or family need someone responsible to watch over their pet, I would 100% recommend Janalie.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
