Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets with the same love and attention as I would my own, whether in my home or yours. When caring for pets in your home, I make sure they feel comfortable and secure by sticking to their familiar routines, whether it’s feeding, walking, or playtime. I always ensure they get plenty of love and attention, so they never feel lonely or stressed.
Information Layla R. would like to know about your pet
Before watching a pet, I like to know a few key things to make sure they’re comfortable and safe: Routine: What’s their typical schedule for meals, walks, bathroom breaks, and bedtime? Temperament: Are they shy or outgoing? Do they have any fears or triggers (like loud noises, other dogs, or strangers)? Medical needs: Any medications, allergies, or ongoing health concerns I should know about? Behavior quirks: Do they try to dart out the door? Are they crate-trained? Do they chew things when bored? Likes and dislikes: Favorite toys, treats, games—or things they’d rather avoid. How they are with other animals: Especially important if we might encounter other dogs or pets on walks or during drop-ins.
A typical day
It depends on the pet’s personality! For dogs who love to be active, I enjoy going on long walks, playing fetch, or even doing mini training games for mental stimulation. If they’re more of a cuddler, I’m happy to hang out, give belly rubs, and just keep them company.

Pet care experience
With over 10 years of experience as a dog owner and a year of caring for a cat, my deep love for animals drives everything I do. Having worked at Valley Shore Animal Welfare Center and currently working at Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals and understanding their unique needs. From energetic puppies to laid-back seniors, I know how to adjust walks, feeding routines, and enrichment activities to keep every pet comfortable, happy, and well cared for. I am committed to providing safe, engaging walks, following your pet’s routine with care, and most importantly, making them feel loved and cherished while you're away. You can have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in great hands. My work schedule varies from month to month. For June, I work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, so I am unavailable during those hours. Outside of that time, I am happy to accommodate pet care requests whenever possible.

Layla is amazing! Our pup loves her and she has been very prompt and reliable for walks. She also happens to be very knowledgeable about animals and has a great deal of experience. She’s walking our dog and also helping with training which has been amazing. I highly recommend her services!

Layla is fantastic! Reliable and flexible with a changing schedule. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our gal. Came home to a happy pup, nothing better!

Layla was wonderful with Marley. Marley was a little nervous at first but she was patient and took her time. She won Marley over and by the 2nd visit Marley was excited to see her. I felt very at ease while I was a way
