About: I have been owned by cats my entire life and have taken care of dogs of all kinds for family and friends for years. I am comfortable with giving medication to cats, including insulin shots. I've had 2 diabetic cats. I am also a Reiki Level 2 practitioner and can give reiki to pets. I have always been the go to pet sitter for my family and friends when they go on vacation. I'm known as the animal whisperer and can usually win over any animal! Just a quick note that my evening visit window ends at 7pm. If you need a later time for a drop-in visit, please mention it before booking so we can confirm whether it is possible. Thanks! I am a home healthcare worker so I have a flexible schedule. I usually finish for the day between 2:30 and 3:30 and am available after that. I can be available during the work day (9-3) with advanced notice to schedule patients around pets! I can also be available some mornings earlier than 9 with advance notice. I will happily come to your home and play with and feed your cats and dogs. I will also walk your dogs and claen up after them. I am willing to give medication if necessary as well.

About: Hello Rover customers, I have taken care of pets since I was a child and have taken care of my family’s fur babies since my kids were small. I am currently left with my senior cat at home but would love to take great care of your beloved fur babies. I am currently self employed and work part time during the weekdays. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate as needed with enough notice! I have a fenced in yard for my animals if needed but I am very careful in customer’s homes and make sure to not leave without checking my surroundings first so no animals gets out the door.

Julie has been amazing with my dog, Cooper. She’s been doing his mid-day walks and has been incredibly reliable and flexible, which I’ve really appreciated. She’s been easy to communicate with and very accommodating with my schedule. Honestly, I’d keep working with her without hesitation if I weren’t moving. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to take care of their dog.

About: I’ve always loved animals and currently care for my own Yorkshire Terrier puppy, Molly. Being a pet owner has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and paying close attention to a dog’s needs. As a college student and part-time employee, I am responsible, dependable, and committed to making every walk safe, fun, and enjoyable. I will treat your dog with the same love and care I give my own I’m currently a part-time employee and a college student, which gives me flexibility to provide reliable pet care. I’m available for dog walks during my free time, including evenings, weekends, and many weekdays. I always make sure each pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and care during every visit. Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I always keep dogs securely leashed during walks, follow each owner’s instructions carefully, and provide fresh water if needed. I pay close attention to each dog’s behavior and avoid unsafe situations. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and the same care I give my own dog.

Sabrina and Daniel are so kind and gentle with my shy dog, Fisher. She took so quickly to them, even from the first time they all met! They make the most out of the time they have with her and fill their sessions with all the stuff she loves to do: walking around, running in the dog park, and playing inside with her toys. They are trustworthy and do a great job keeping me updated with plenty of pictures and a great description of their session. They do an excellent job taking care of my girl.

About: I know every cat has a unique personality, so I take the time to earn their trust instead of expecting them to warm up to me right away. Whether your cat is playful and social or shy and independent, I’ll care for them at their own pace. I’ll make sure they stay comfortable by sticking to their routine, keeping their litter box clean, refreshing their food and water, and giving them the right amount of playtime, affection, or quiet company. I’m reliable, patient, and will always keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your cat is happy and in good hands while you’re away. I currently work part-time and attend Gateway, so pet sitting is a great way for me to earn some extra income while doing something I genuinely enjoy. I’ve always loved being around animals, and I take pride in making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I will care for pets with the same attention and respect I would give to any person, and I genuinely love all kinds of animals. I am also very respectful of people’s homes and will always treat them with care and responsibility.

About: I am a huge animal lover and have spent a lot of time rescuing homeless cats in my neighborhood. I have trapped 20 stray cats, vetted them, and found them homes. From this I have 7 of my own cats. I also have rescued two dogs from shelters. One is a Pitbull and the other an English Bull Dog. Growing up I always had pets around. As a Special Education Teacher I am available all weekdays after 5pm and I have complete open availability on weekends and school vacations (December, April). I have no problem with high energy or needy animals. I am comfortable cleaning up pet messes, playing, walking, and providing medicine if needed. I will do anything an animal needs.

About: I had dogs throughout my childhood and now have a Labrador Retriever who I couldn’t imagine doing life without. Dogs are family, and I will make sure to give your dog the utmost attention and care and to your specifications. I continue to take my dog to training classes even as an adult dog, and see training as a way of communicating with your dog. I have learned a lot from many different trainers over the years which allows me to be a better caretaker for your dog too. Please reach out with any questions. I very much look forward to meeting your pup! I am currently working part-time so my schedule is flexible and I will have plenty of time to play with and take care of your pup. For overnight guests in our home, we own our home and have a fenced in yard (brand new and installed just for our dog). If the care is in your home, I will gladly follow any instructions you leave and accommodate your preferences and specifications in both caring for your home and your dog.

About: Hey y’all! I’ve been an animal lover my entire life. I have experience volunteering at shelters, working at the humane society, as well as a veterinary clinic. I am knowledgeable with taking care of both cats and dogs! I also have experience with special needs pets, I took care of an epileptic pup for 8 years. I understand how important giving meds are and ensuring they are taken on time, every time. I’d love to be able to help care for your baby! 🥰 I work remote but my work days can be very demanding. About: I grew up in a family with more pets than humans and loved every moment of it. Meeting new pups and kitties is my favorite way to spend a weekend :) I’m currently working part time and love to break the day up with a dog walk. Available for weekend house sitting and drop by visits. I’m always down for a stroll around the neighborhood with your dog or hours of feather wand games with your cat. Like most fur babies, I’m a total homebody and happy to hang out for hours giving head scratches.

About: I love spending time with all types of dogs- big, small, old, young, lazy, energetic and everything in between. I recently moved back to Connecticut from Colorado and now have a more flexible job that allows me the opportunity to dog sit again. In the past, I’ve cared for dogs for Rover clients as well as friends’ and family members’ pets, and I’m comfortable walking, feeding, bathing, and administering medications as needed. I also love being outdoors and am happy to take your dog on walks or hikes if that’s something you’d like. I have experience training dogs, including my own two, and I understand how important it is to follow your dog’s routine and your expectations. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I am open to working with you to make a schedule that works for both your dog's needs and my work schedule. I work Monday-Friday, with a flexible hour break for going to check on your pet midday if needed. My weekends would be planned to meet the needs of your pet, so you could enjoy your time away with our worry! I’m currently open to caring for pets in both my home and your home. My house is dog-friendly, with an unfenced backyard, and I always prioritize safety and supervision when outside. I do my best to keep each pet comfortable by maintaining their usual routines as closely as possible, while also offering opportunities for enrichment based on their personality and comfort level-whether that’s a walk, hike, visit to a family member’s home, or simply relaxing in a calm environment. I’m very mindful of each pet’s needs and cues, and I’m just as happy giving them space if that’s what helps them feel most at ease. When staying in a client’s home, I’m always respectful of your space and preferences, aiming to keep your pet’s routine consistent while caring for your home with the same level of attention and respect.

Alex came over every weekday to walk and play with my Morkie, Kimchi, while I was in Scotland for a month. Alex sent me pictures of Kimchi and gave me a report on what they did every day -- it was great! I came home to a happy, relaxed dog, so I know he had a good time. I felt reassured that he was doing well, and I plan to have Alex continue to visit from time to time so they can keep up their friendship. This was the next best thing to having Kimchi with me! I highly recommend Alex.

  • 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
