“We had a great experience using Mark for Dog Boarding! This was new for us as it was our first time away from our puppy Ralphie. We scheduled a "meet and greet" with Mark and his family. Mark is very prompt and responsive with communication. We new after one visit that Marks home is where we wanted our Ralphie pup to spend 8 days while we where away. We wanted our Ralphie to be in a home where he could receive full care. Mark was very attentive to needs of our pup. Mark sent us regular photos and updates about Ralphie. Thank you Mark for the amazing pictures of Ralphie. When we picked up Ralphie we where impressed that he seemed even better trained then when dropped him off. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. I have over 14 years of experience caring for a wide variety of animals ranging from dogs to cats to snakes, bearded dragons, and even ants (yes I know)... and the list goes on! Ever since I can remember, I've always loved animals (dogs especially). About: I rescued my own dog from a shelter, and she required a lot of special training and patience. I worked with her on socialization, leash walking, and reducing pulling and barking around other dogs, and I have successfully helped her improve in all of these areas. Since she was a puppy when I adopted her, I also have experience with the patience, consistency, and care that younger dogs require. In addition, I care for a senior dog, so I am experienced in recognizing when a dog has reached their physical limit during walks and understanding how to adjust care based on their needs. Having experience with both younger and older dogs, as well as both large and small breeds, has taught me how to handle dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and training levels with confidence and care. I am currently in school but there are only three days a week I am completely booked with classes. My Mondays and Fridays and weekends are completely open and would love to spend my free time around more dogs! I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for pets while they are in my care. Since I live in an apartment, I make sure the space is pet-friendly, secure, and free of anything that could be harmful to animals. About: I have grown up around dogs, my childhood pet was a Great Dane, and I now own a Great Pyrenees. I love all kinds of animals no matter what size. In my initial meeting with a family, I like to get a sense of the pet's routine to determine if I can recreate that for them while their parent is away. My schedule, aside from my 9-5, is dictated by the pet's needs. I prefer to care for a pet in their own home. Before accepting a new client, I like to meet the pet and the parent(s) to make sure we're all vibing. I determine routine/schedule/likes/dislikes with the parent(s) in advance and stay in touch if something needs to deviate, which is rare.
About: I am a huge animal lover and have spent a lot of time rescuing homeless cats in my neighborhood. I have trapped 20 stray cats, vetted them, and found them homes. From this I have 7 of my own cats. I also have rescued two dogs from shelters. One is a Pitbull and the other an English Bull Dog. Growing up I always had pets around. As a Special Education Teacher I am available all weekdays after 5pm and I have complete open availability on weekends and school vacations (December, April). “We had a great experience using Mark for Dog Boarding! This was new for us as it was our first time away from our puppy Ralphie. We scheduled a "meet and greet" with Mark and his family. Mark is very prompt and responsive with communication. We new after one visit that Marks home is where we wanted our Ralphie pup to spend 8 days while we where away. We wanted our Ralphie to be in a home where he could receive full care. Mark was very attentive to needs of our pup. Mark sent us regular photos and updates about Ralphie. Thank you Mark for the amazing pictures of Ralphie. When we picked up Ralphie we where impressed that he seemed even better trained then when dropped him off. We look forward to using Mark's family home in the near future. Highly recommended!”
