“Mark has been an excellent dog sitter for my dog, Milo. He is very flexible and responsive, which makes scheduling easy and stress-free. Most importantly, he treats Milo with a lot of care and attention, and I always feel confident that Milo is in good hands when he’s with him. I really appreciate the peace of mind he provides and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Second time my Callie was cared for by Bruce and it was another wonderful experience. By the pictures and communication from Bruce I could tell Callie was well cared for and happy. Thank you again Bruce for taking such exceptional care of Callie. I highly recommend Bruce.”

“Maria is AMAZING! This was our first time using rover and she made us and our dog feel super comfortable. She truly cares about the dogs she is taking care of and made the process of leaving our dog easy. She has the dogs on a routine and has a huge yard for them to play. Maria would also send pictures of our dog daily which was something I looked forward to. Overall very happy with my experience with Maria and will definitely use her services again!”

“Kristen was awesome, highly recommend! Very accommodating considering that it was a major holiday with a chaotic schedule, excellent communication leading up to and during our dog’s stay with her, and a down-to-earth person that truly loves animals and welcomes them into her home. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”

“We were very nervous to leave our Zeus with someone we haven’t met before but Cassandra made us feel so at ease in her beautiful home. Zeus did so great and it was great that Cassandra sent updates and picture and video of our boy. Highly recommend!”

“Second time buddy stayed with Brittany and her family and he had a good time. He didn’t come home clingy or anxious. Brittany kept me updated with lovely glamour shot of Buddy throughout the stay. Would recommend her without any reservations.”

“Thank you, Ariel! Georgia enjoyed her “vacation” in your beautiful fenced in yard. Thank you for your hospitality and great communication throughout! We really appreciated the daily pictures too. So glad we found you!”

“Danielle and her husband were absolutely amazing while watching our little guy (Jaxson) for a quick getaway this week. We were given constant updates/pictures, and he clearly made himself right at home and was as comfortable as can be. Communication was prompt from the beginning and we were truly at ease while we were away that he was receiving more than adequate care. Jax became quick friends with their pets, and was moping around when we got home because he clearly misses them! Could not recommend enough!”

“We couldn’t have been happier with Bri, who took such great care of Mack for us. She kept in touch, sent pup pics, and showed concern for allergies when our dog decided he was hungry and ate her tray of sushi. Most people could’ve gotten really mad, yet Bri showed genuine concern for his health and wellbeing. We won’t hesitate to book with her in the future!”

“Steven and Claudia were very professional and took care of my dog as if he were their own. Not only this, but they accepted my last-minute booking which made everything immensely easier for me. Would highly recommend.”

“I can't tell you how thankful I am to have found Elizabeth to watch our dog. We have never left him with someone we didn't know and this is our first time using Rover. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and confident in leaving my dog with her. She was great at communication before and during my dog's stay always letting me know how he was doing and also sending pictures along with the updates. I highly recommend her and will be booking with her again soon! Thank you Elizabeth!”

“Bianka took great care of our dog Scooby, who presents with many challenges, including anxiety and blindness. She spent a lot of time with Scooby, such as by walking, petting, and playing with him. She even kept him company and played calming music for him when he woke up in the middle of the night. Bianka also sent frequent updates that included pictures. We are so grateful for Bianka!”

“Jayme really helped us out with watching Diesel when we had to go away for a long weekend for a family wedding. I felt very comfortable knowing that Diesel was in good hands and that he had a yard to play around with. Jayme is very kind and sent several pictures of Diesel. Knowing that he was in someone’s loving home and not in a boarding facility put me at ease. I would recommend Jayme without hesitation for anyone who wants their dog to have a home away from home!”

“Stephanie did a great job caring for our Hugo! He came back to us happy and healthy :) We especially appreciated how quick Stephanie was to respond and send updates. Would 100% book with her again!”

“This was my German Shepherd, Evie's, 3rd stay, 1st overnighter, with Nadjeska. Evie had a great time playing with the other guest dogs, and Nadjeska sent us several photos to let us know she was doing great. No drama, no trauma, just a happy dog at the end of her stay.”

“I just want to start off by saying, never judge anyone’s profile just because they haven’t gotten the opportunity to sit more dogs than others. Gaileen and her family were absolutely amazing. From the first meeting they were nice, understanding , and very welcoming. My Klee Kai Xura felt so happy and safe. Every single step of the way Gaileen sent me photos, daily updates on xura status and behavior and performed her duties as a sitter. I just want to thank them so much for their hospitality and I will definitely book them again soon”

“Karina and Teresa were absolutely amazing with Evee! From start to finish, they took such great care of her and made me feel completely at ease. They sent tons of photos and videos, which I really appreciated; it was so clear how happy, comfortable, and well-loved Evee was the entire time. 🥰🥰 Evee came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and treat your pet like their own. I couldn’t have asked for better sitters and would 100% trust them with Evee again. Highly recommend!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the peace of mind that came with leaving my dog in her hands. She was very flexible with timing. Quick to respond. And took care of my dog exactly as I needed. I will 100%. Board my good boy with her. Whenever possible in the future.”

“Laura was so wonderful! She made our family and our pup so comfortable and sent pictures and updates throughout our trip. We were so happy knowing that our dog got to be part of Laura’s family while we were away. We’d highly recommend Laura!”

“Tarah was sooo amazing with my cat, Mao Mao! My husband and I went away for 2 weeks on our honeymoon, which is the longest we've been away before so I was worried leaving her that long. But Tarah eased every single worry I had! She gave amazing updates and pictures of Mao Mao while we were gone, made sure her litter boxes were clean, her food bowl was filled, and that she got lots of love and pets while we were away! She was so responsive and easy to get ahold of and really went above and beyond for us! I would 100% book with Tarah again for any trip we take in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 13 years old. Family and friends always ask me for help. I have grown up around animals and know their behaviors. I take care of 2 indoor cats on my own. I also help my mom and grandma with the strays around our house taking them to the vet spaying/neutering them. I originally wanted to be a veterinarian and did shadowing at the Northford Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Minott and dealt with medication and nail clipping. I understand the signs and situations of an animal that is scared or feels danger. I have helped foster kittens and puppies from strays, preparing them to be adopted. My mom has worked at the Central Veterinary Hospital for many years. She has taken me to work many times showing me the ins and outs of the hospital. I also have first-hand experience with oral medication on my own kitty!

About: Hi, I’m Angelina! I currently volunteer at a local shelter providing care for cats and dogs of different ages, breeds, and demeanors (lots of cuties). As a cat socializer, I am learning to gradually work with shy, cautious, or tense kitties to come out of their shells. Lots of cleaning litter boxes at there too! While I haven’t owned a cat (mother’s allergies I thankfully didn’t inherit), I have taken care of other cats in our family as well. Looking forward to meeting your furry ones:)

About: What sets me apart is my professional experience caring for cats and my genuine love for animals. I’ve worked as a veterinary technician assistant with cats, dogs, and horses, giving me experience understanding animal behavior, caring for senior pets, and helping shy or anxious cats feel safe and comfortable. I am also currently studying for my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, so your pet’s health, safety, and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I provide patient, reliable, loving care and treat every pet like family while you’re away.

“Sandy is terrific! My dog Mika took to her right away at their Meet & Greet and was happy to see her when she arrived to walk and feed her a couple of days later. She communicates promptly which I really appreciate. I'll definitely be hiring Sandy again.”

“Kelli was excellent as always. She is a great communicator and its very reliable. She adapts well to problems when they come up and we are eternally grateful to have her.”

“Melanie was wonderful with our cat! Our cat automatically went right up to her, which is always a great sign. She followed all of our instructions carefully, was very accommodating, and communicated well throughout the process. Her rates were also very reasonable, and she was kind, reliable, and easy to work with. We felt comfortable knowing our cat was in good hands and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

About: Cats have been a part of my life since day one, literally! Growing up, I was the go-to person for looking after our cats whenever my parents traveled. I've since cared for cats for friends and neighbors, including senior cats with medication schedules and litter box challenges. I'm calm, patient, and know that cats can be particular; I take the time to learn each cat's routine and quirks so they feel completely at ease. Your cat is in experienced, loving hands!
About: I am a veterinary nurse as well as a certified dog trainer. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and will treat your pup as one of my own! I work from home. I do virtual dog training sessions and only work one day out of the house, so very easy for me to take care of your pup in between sessions. We have a fenced in yard with plenty of toys as well as going for daily walks in our very safe neighborhood. I also have two very friendly medium size pups who love to play.
“Olivia did an awesome job ! It's always hard trusting someone to care for your babies but she gave me peace of mind while I was away. My cat warmed up to her right away which made me happy that they had company while I was gone 🥰 she even took the initiative to clean up and always reached out if she had any questions. She was quick to respond, followed all care instructions, and the communication was great! Lots of pics ☺️ I highly recommend her and look forward to having her sit for me again !”

“Raeven is phenomenal! Since the first day our puppy has been so much calmer having Raeven check in with her and playing! We’ve only been using Raeven since and the quality of care to our pup has been amazing! Would recommend to anyone!”

“Archie was an amazing cat sitter for my two babies!! This is my first time using a pet sitter for my cats. I have a senior girl who was just recently diagnosed with IBD and requires a special diet and daily meds, and a rambunctious kitten who will do his darndest to be the cutest troublemaker you’ve ever met. Archie was amazing to work with, has extensive experience working with cats, and made me and my partner feel at ease! If you are looking for someone to watch over your feline friends, Archie is the best! I will definitely use them for future bookings.”
“Mary was amazing with my two goldens. They’re both very energetic and strong pullers on the leash and Mary was able to wrangle them no problem! She came over to meet the pups before hand and was so sweet to my dogs and to us. Send me photos every walk and give a full report back about everything the pups did! We all felt very comfortable with her off the bat as well. I would definitely have Mary back to care for our pups and recommend her to you 10/10!”

About: I worked for The FurKid company in New York City. There, I walked dogs, as well as provided overnight care for dogs and cats, which includes administering medication to the animals. I'm a teacher, so I am mostly available outside of the 7:30PM to 3:30PM window. I pour a lot of love into the animals I care for, no matter how much time I have with them! I have no pets of my own, so will be able to put all of my energy into yours! I unfortunately don't have a yard, but there is plenty of green space and a dog park in my apartment complex.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Northford
Prices are estimates per day. Pricing may vary based on your search. A booking fee of 11% and taxes will apply.
About: I rescued my own dog from a shelter, and she required a lot of special training and patience. I worked with her on socialization, leash walking, and reducing pulling and barking around other dogs, and I have successfully helped her improve in all of these areas. Since she was a puppy when I adopted her, I also have experience with the patience, consistency, and care that younger dogs require. In addition, I care for a senior dog, so I am experienced in recognizing when a dog has reached their physical limit during walks and understanding how to adjust care based on their needs. Having experience with both younger and older dogs, as well as both large and small breeds, has taught me how to handle dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and training levels with confidence and care. I am currently in school but there are only three days a week I am completely booked with classes. My Mondays and Fridays and weekends are completely open and would love to spend my free time around more dogs! I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for pets while they are in my care. Since I live in an apartment, I make sure the space is pet-friendly, secure, and free of anything that could be harmful to animals. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, and any special instructions from the owner. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely to help pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I prioritize safety during walks, monitor pets closely around other animals, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, patience, and affection. I also provide updates and communication so owners feel reassured while their pets are in my care.
“Mark was fantastic. Mr. Wuggly and Nugget loved him and his family!! Mr.Wuggly and Nugget had a fun day! They fell right to sleep on the way home. When picking up my two pugs they acted very calm they usually act like little nuts. By my pugs behavior I know Mark and his family took great care of my pugs. I would 100% book again if I am in the area.”

“Kristen was great with our 3 month old puppy. She was flexible, sent us plenty of pictures, and responded quickly. It was a serene getaway for him and he looked very comfortable in her home. She took him on walks and he walked really well with her. On the second day drop off Kameron was wagging his tail as we walked inside and went straight for a prized green toy he loved. The pictures she sent were beautiful and she was very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her would absolutely use her again.”

“We took Frances to daycare as a first step before considering boarding. From the very beginning, Raeven was very kind and welcoming. It was our first time using this service, and it couldn’t have gone better. Now we feel at ease knowing that our pup will stay in a place we trust.”

“Maria did exceptional with my baby Snoopy! I was really scared since he suffers from extreme anxiety (He’s a rescue dog). He did great with Maria. She kept me informed and would send me pictures. She was very caring, gentle and comforting. Snoopy did very well with transition. I will definitely rebook with Maria.”

“Krystal is amazing! I left my puppy with her and she took her on adventures and walks! Her pup is perfect to play with! Thank you for giving me peace of mind today! Will definitely be booking again!”

“Gracie had a great day with Mariana and her crew. Mariana welcomed her with open arms. Having the fenced back yard so accessible is perfect for letting dogs in and out as needed, but the house itself is comfy and warm -- just right for these snowy, cold winter days. I highly recommend Mariana as a loving dog care giver.”

“Stephanie took great care of my beagle for three days while I had to travel out of state. He came home to me exhausted and happy after full days of playing and walks. Thanks Stephanie!”

“Steven and Claudia are awesome dog people. They kept in touch with pictures and a video and Mello was very happy when I picked him up. Would definitely book again!!”

“This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. Evie seemed to enjoy the day, Nadjeska obviously loves dogs, and we will be repeat clients in the near future.”

“Jenna was great with our anxious and jumpy pup. She took him on walks, spent good time outdoors, sent regular updates, and had a great, calming demeanor with him. She was very flexible even when we came to her last minute. Definitely recommend!”

About: I have grown up with dogs. I have always loved animals and now I currently live in an apartment. Right now, I am not able to have pets of my own! I travel for work from time to time and it is just not the right time for me to have a pet of my own. So, I will watch yours and love yours like it is my own! I have always had really big dogs, and I am also good with little dogs! I cannot wait to meet my new furry friend! You can go on a vacation or quick get away and know that your pet is having the time of their life! Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family! I am a newly crowned work from home gal! A walk, a pet, and a potty break can easily happen in between emails and meetings! My apartment have a dog park that we can blow off steam in. I also just have a natural ability to get pups excited for walks and cat excited to chase lasers! I will be keeping an eye out to keep my furry friend safe!
“My fur baby requires a great deal of attention due to some health challenges. This makes me very careful about who cares for him. I am so Blessed to have Liza taking care of my lil guy. I would highly recommend her to people that need puppy ? care”

About: I currently volunteer at an animal shelter and love working with dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and demeanors! I also have some basic training experience through my dog trainer, who also specializes in service work and behavioral training. My personal dog, Toffee (basset hound!), lived to be 16, and my favorite time with her was the patient walks and TLC needed as she got older--happy to support your senior animals too:) A couple other tidbits: I have experience working with farm animals (chickens, ducks, goats, and alpacas!) and majored in Environmental Science in college. Looking forward to meeting your furry ones! I balance my full-time job (8:30-4) with pet care through Rover and at the animal shelter. I am happy to work with you to find good times (evenings and weekends included, depending on when). I prefer to meet or provide care at your home, but I also live in a very walkable neighborhood and have a dog park nearby. My house has a fenced-in yard and a sprinkler for the hotter days. While I do not currently have a crate in my personal vehicle, I am happy to get one if you are more comfortable. I also have close friends with dogs and cats if play dates are helpful too!
“Andrea was just wonderful. It was my first time leaving them with a sitter. I knew I could trust her with my babies right off the bat. She’s sweet and caring and communicated with me the whole time because I was anxious being away from them. It’s easy to see that she is a dog person to the core. Highly recommend!”

“My dog bear loves going over to Alaina and Jake’s, and they love having him over! They’ve been able to work with my schedule, and take last minute bookings as well. I love that they send me pics of bear throughout the day and keep me updated. I know bears in good hands and safe at their house.”

“This was my first time using Rover and Cheyanne made everything really easy! From the meet and greet to the actual first day of day care, Cheyanne answered messages quickly, was so kind, and was great with our pup.”

“Mary has done an excellent job. She shows up on time and gives our dog a nice walk. He seems glad to see her on those occasions when my wife was home at walk time. Happy to suggest her to others.”

About: I have officially 2 years of dog sitting experience I would babysit one of my bosses dog and take her on walks along with keeping her company and happy. However when I was a kid I used to take my dog out on walks along with a few people in my neighborhood, I even tried making my own dog walking business at the age of 10 but that didn’t really work out well. I have a few cats at home so I’m perfectly fine with taking care of cats as well. I work part time at a daycare so my schedule really depends on what my schedule there looks like but I am more than happy to squeeze something in before or after my shift. I’m more than happy to play all day with dogs and cat or just keep them company while sitting inside or outside. I’m more than capable of going on long walks and if available I wouldn’t mind a good hike with your dogs as well :)
“Melanie made a great first impression for us! She extended thoughtful details, did a pre-meet / greet, and connected with my pup well! (he’s a hyper boy, and can be fearful/bark w new people). She arrives on time and puts us at ease knowing Blue will be well cared for. Grateful for weekly walks.”

“Andrea took Harry for good long walks and really engaged with him. She shared photos and videos and was really great to communicate with. Highly recommend her!”

“Raeven is soooo good with my fur baby Rocky. She has a calmness with Rocky and also gives great tips and advice to make my dog’s walking experience even better. I’m so grateful for her.”

“Brittany has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She is friendly, professional, reliable, and always on time. From the very beginning, she developed a wonderful connection with our dog, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she works with. Brittany is attentive, trustworthy, and communicates well, which gave us complete peace of mind knowing our dog was in great hands. Our dog is always excited to see her and comes back happy and well cared for after every walk. We truly appreciate Brittany’s dedication, kindness, and dependability. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and responsible dog walker. She has exceeded our expectations, and we are grateful to have found her! 🐾❤️”

Your pet's routine always comes first! When I'm in a client's home, I treat it with the same respect I'd want for my own.

“Christopher was very accommodating and flexible. He went out of his way to pick up Cameo at a more ideal timing prior to my departure for my work trip. He sent daily updates and pictures of Cameo playing and answered any questions that I had. Cameo got lots of play time and came home happy and exhausted :)”

“Was nervous at first to leave him overnight with someone for an entire week but as Yajaira reassured, my boy was in good hands. Everything went smoothly & loved that she kept me updated with photos that showed he was enjoying his vacation as well. Defiantly would recommend & will sure be booking again when needed!”

“This was Luna's first time being away from us and I was so afraid with how she might be with someone new and away from her family. To my surprise she did fantastic with Lauren and had alot of fun! I received many pictures of Luna throughout her time away and little updates. She socialized with other pups, smelled amazing since she was bathed before she came home, and I can tell she was comfortable because when I got there she wiggled her little rump and was so excited to see me but she also would go back to Lauren to say goodbye. It was the sweetest thing. Thank you again, Luna will definitely be back!”

“Saori took wonderful care of our Gus during his week long Thanksgiving stay. He enjoyed his long trips to the dog park and all the cuddles and care he receives throughout the week!”
