“Sandra was a great find! I can’t recommend this dog walker enough! They truly love dogs and it shows in everything they do. They spent quality time playing with my dog and made sure he was completely taken care of, which gave me so much peace of mind and meant I didn’t have to rush home. My dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Extremely trustworthy, reliable, and kind — I’m so grateful to have found her!!”

“Kacie was so good with our dog, George who has quite a bit of anxiety. She was calm and patient with him and very attentive to his needs. She went above and beyond and was extremely communicative, timely and thorough!”

“Kelli was a great cat-sitter for our three cats. She was dedicated and made sure to spend time with all of them. One of our cats needs medication twice a day and she was able to administer it to her easily. She also played with our two younger cats, who love attention. When we came home, they appeared well taken care of. Would definitely book her again!”

“Anne-Marie is wonderful. My cat can be a little cautious when she meets new people, but at first sight, she walked right up to her asking for pets. She was on time every day and provided a variety of pictures to let me know my cat was in good hands. Would highly recommend!”

About: I have had dogs since I was 5 years old, and have pet sat for friends and family over the years! I nannied, house sat, and dog sat for a friends family for two years! This included staying with the dog and kid for about a week at a time and taking care of them. I am extremely dependable, punctual, and great with animals! I am currently a tech school student studying HVACR, so I am in school Monday-Thursday 7:30-3:00 except June 26th- July 5th for summer break! Besides these hours, I can absolutely work with yours and your pets schedule! I live in a condo, so I make sure to take my dog on walks as often as possible to make sure he gets lots of outside time! He has lots of toys scattered around the house to play with. He is extremely energetic and playful so I always make sure to play with him extra when it’s raining out!
“Courtney is an absolutely wonderful, trustworthy, caring cat-sitter. I feel incredibly lucky to have found her and to continue working with her as my periodic sitter. She has a lovely presence and a calming energy that my cats absolutely gravitate to--she immediately gained their trust and mine. Courtney is responsive and communicative, which really sets me at ease--especially when I've needed to take longer trips away from my two cats. I cannot recommend her more highly!”

About: I have been using Rover on and off for years and have met so many amazing dogs and their owners. I am active and love to be outside. I grew up with pets and am very compassionate towards all animals, especially dogs and cats. I have taken care of neighbors' dogs and homes while growing up. I live in North Branford with my fiancé, our cat Charlie and our dog Roz. Charlie came from a shelter and loves to be around other animals. Sometimes she can act like a dog herself. Roz was adopted from Save-A-Lab and is the sweetest girl. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have! I look forward to meeting your pet! I’m a personal trainer so I am typically available between 11 am and 4 pm. With so much free time on my hands and my love for being active, I decided I’d walk dogs part-time! If a dog is outside in their fenced yard, I’ll never take my eyes off of them. Ya never know if they’ve been plotting their escape! 😏 I always keep a dog on a leash. I prefer a non-retractable leash.
“Tyler is fantastic! Super caretaking for my cat over a whole week of meals, medications - lots of attention to detail. A very caring, attentive presence that my normally shy cat really responded to.”

“Lauren is always reliable! She’s is quick to message back and shows up on time! One of my dogs has an issue with reactivity and Lauren was willing to meet her ahead of time to make sure they would get along and they did! My dogs love her now and are very excited when she comes to let them out.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Isabella provided for our dog Sugar during her drop-in visits! She went above and beyond to ensure Sugar was happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. She was incredibly reliable, always punctual, and kept us updated with detailed notes and adorable photos from each visit, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Gillian went above and beyond what we expected. It was very reassuring to have someone with a medical background there for our boys. She always provided photos for her visits and administered medication as needed. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
