About: I've been taking care of pets since I was a kid, having grown up with two dogs and being part of their care from puppyhood through old age. I've looked after both dogs and cats for neighbors and families to whom I've provided childcare, and for the past year, I’ve regularly walked dogs housed at a county animal shelter. This has been such a rewarding activity and has increased my comfort in interacting with animals with a variety of temperaments. I'm an active person, so I’d love to get outdoors and moving as long as your pup is up for it! If necessary, I can bathe your pet and administer oral medications; if instructed may also be comfortable with injectables. I’m so excited to meet a new furry friend! I’m a medical student looking to establish some house/pet sitting relationships while I attend school. My daytime availability during the week is therefore limited, but I’m happy to provide evening care for your pet or stay overnight in your home. On weekends, I have more flexible availability for drop in visits and/or daytime walking. I will be pet sitting in your home and want to fit into your pet's daily life as seamlessly as possible, so I'm happy to do whatever makes them happy! I'm an active person so whether your pet is high or low energy, I can cater to their needs.

About: I’ve had a dog since I was 6 years old, ranging in all different sizes. I find it imperative to treat all dogs as if they were my own. I’m currently a full-time fourth grade teacher who is looking for a part-time job during the week days, weekends and whenever I have a holiday break. Currently I am available for drop in visits or dog walking during the week anytime. I am also free for both of these services at anytime during certain weekends. I have a fenced backyard with two Labrador retriever. They are friendly and always makes me smile! I love taking them on walks, however they are still learning how to walk. About: I am very punctual and am responsible. I have taken care of dogs all my life and love animals. I have rescued plenty of stray dogs and that is one of my lifetime goals. About: I am a big animal lover. I have experience with dogs, cats, bunnies, and chickens! I have raised kittens and chicks, and have watched both big and small dogs and rabbits. I am happy to house sit as well and water any plants you might have. I am a reliable, organized person that just loves to help out. Generally this schedule works for my work I respect the home and check in with the owner first regarding expectations and what I should know about their pet. About: I've pet-sat for dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, and guinea pigs since 2001. My sittings have ranged from a few hours to two weeks. I've sat for family, friends, and many parents here on Rover. My family has included two cats, Cleopatra and Caesar, and dogs Valentine, Athos, and Teddy. My goal as a sitter is to offer stability and enrichment while their parent is away. I'm available for drop-ins and overnights and happy to care for your home during the stay, watering plants, etc. My schedule is very flexible outside of my 9-5 at Yale. Why I love pet sitting Who doesn't love some fuzzy company? And I understand from watching our family pets how disorienting a kennel can be. In-home sitting puts pets (and you!) at ease when you're away, so they can enjoy the "vacation" just as much as you can! My experience administering medication I've given pill medication via pill packs and oral liquid medication via syringe. If your dog requires medication, happy to discuss. (In case you're wondering why my testimonials haven't been updated recently, it's because I took a break from Rover to be more available to sit for family and friends. Sadly, some of those lovely pets have passed away now. It means though that I have the availability to return to Rover and I'm happy to be back!) In my initial meeting with a family, I like to get a sense of the pet's routine to determine if I can recreate that for them while their parent is away. My schedule, aside from my 9-5, is dictated by the pet's needs. I prefer to care for a pet in their own home. Before accepting a new client, I like to meet the pet and the parent(s) to make sure we're all vibing. I determine routine/schedule/likes/dislikes with the parent(s) in advance and stay in touch if something needs to deviate, which is rare.

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I’ve been caring for dogs for over ten years. I grew up with a wheaten terrier who I loved for 14 years, and since then I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and sizes. Whether your pup is playful, sensitive, or needs a calm, steady presence, I’m very comfortable adapting to what they need. Most clients book me for in-home dog care, as it allows dogs to stay in their familiar environment and maintain their routine. I offer structure, gentle companionship, and clear communication every step of the way so you can travel or work confidently, knowing your dog is happy and supported. I also work as a realtor, which means I’m extremely respectful in people’s homes and very used to handling keys, security systems, and property access professionally and discreetly. Pets warm to me quickly, and owners tell me they appreciate the calm confidence I bring to their home. Although I do offer boarding on occasion, my space is best suited for dogs that aren’t excessively vocal, as I live in a condo. All normal barking is perfectly fine — I just may not be the best match for dogs that howl or bark nonstop. My goal is always the same: to make sure your pup feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule, so I’m looking to add to my day with some exercise and fun with your dog(s)! I particularly make sure I am available at regular meal times for pets. I can provide companionship, exercise and care for your pet at your home or at my home. While I am out of the house for about 3-4 hours some days, I work from home a lot.

We arranged for daily house-sitting while we were away, and couldn’t have been happier; Roger even swept up the house and deck, cleaned up the dog crates, and even did a bit of weeding — all of his own volition! It was great knowing the dogs were in good hands, and a big treat to come back to an even cleaner house. We’ll definitely be checking in with Roger next time we’ll be going away!”

I am currently traveling, so looking for some gig work while I’m on the East Coast, but usually I’m living in Hawaii and am self-employed, so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I make sure to be patient with each animal and let them come to me. I won’t force them to be social, and will be aware of their behaviors to ensure safety and trust is built between us. Also being mindful of their interactions with other dogs or humans if they have any issues with them.
