“Davon was amazing. I outreached very impromptu and he was available for a meet and greet with Arya. ( which went well. We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon. I recommend and will use him again. 🐾💕”

About: I’ve had a dog since I was 6 years old, ranging in all different sizes. I find it imperative to treat all dogs as if they were my own. I’m currently a full-time fourth grade teacher who is looking for a part-time job during the week days, weekends and whenever I have a holiday break. About: I've been taking care of pets since I was a kid, having grown up with two dogs and being part of their care from puppyhood through old age. “This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. About: I've grown up around animals my whole life, including huskies, and I spent most of my life horseback riding. I currently have a young husky named Mako, so I have daily experience with exercise, training, grooming, and keeping dogs on a consistent routine. Mako and I are home from college, so we’ve been spending lots of time outside! We regularly go hiking and swimming, and at home he has access to several acres of land where he can safely explore on a supervised 100-foot lead, well away from the road. I do most of Mako's grooming myself, including bathing and brushing to prevent matting, and I'm happy to do the same for dogs in my care if requested. I have experience with reactive and aggressive dogs and can safely separate dogs if needed without making them feel left out. Mako is very friendly and loves meeting new dogs, but I pay close attention to make sure he’s not overwhelming anyone with his puppy energy. I keep a consistent schedule and will treat your dog like one of my own. There's also a vet right around the corner in case of an emergency, giving you extra peace of mind while your pet is in my care. Im back home from college right now and can give 24/7 care. I am a musician but I don't have the sleep schedule of one! Mako and I wake up at 9am and sleep by 12 at the latest. Feeding times are consistent and we spend more of the day outdoors than in. I love to write and practice outside so I will hangout on the porch or in the yard even if I'm home for the day. Mako lets me know if he needs a AC break, but he also has his favorite shady trees and kitty pool to hangout at. At my mom's farm house we have many acres of yard off of a low traffic street. It is not fenced in so I have a 100ft lead tied in the center that I clip Mako to. My mom left a patch of the yard un-mowed so the wildflowers would grow, and Mako loves to explore in the tall grass. I tick check him regularly but haven't found anything yet. I always keep him in my line of sight when I let him out on the lead. The house has lots of space and it's easy to seperate dogs if needed. I also have a large crate that Mako used to use. I uphold some basic training manners such as no table scraps, calmly walking out the front door next to or behind me, no chewing everything, etc. Im happy to take requests if there's training manners you don't want your dog to get rusty on while away. Im not certified but I know how to perform CPR and first aid on dogs. There is a vet clinic right around the corner and I can get them there within minutes incase of emergency.
About: Dog and cat owner. As pet parents it is our responsibility that our pets live a happy and healthy life. I give that to every animal that comes into my life! Currently working a hybrid schedule in a full-time role, so I’m home pretty often throughout the week! On the days I do go into the office, my mom stops by to take my dog for a walk and can give any dogs staying with me a midday break too. I have a super friendly 3-year-old Golden Retriever who loves other dogs and is always happy to have a friend around! When I’m working from home, I’m here throughout the day and have plenty of time between meetings and projects for walks, playtime, attention, and lots of company. When boarding, I’m home outside of my office hours, and your dog will get lots of playtime, walks, attention, and plenty of time to just hang out and feel at home! My pets are my priority. I always make sure things are put away and out of grasp for my dog. Food is never left out, especially foods that may be harmful to pets. I limit those off of my shopping list as much as possible. When we have other dogs over, they are offered fresh water, treats if allowed and all the toys they could desire. If a dog is not allowed certain toys due to being a shredder or if the toy poses a choking hazard, those toys go in the closet. I’m very careful and attentive, while having fun with all dogs!

About: I am a veterinary nurse as well as a certified dog trainer. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and will treat your pup as one of my own! I work from home. I do virtual dog training sessions and only work one day out of the house, so very easy for me to take care of your pup in between sessions. About: I've pet-sat for dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, and guinea pigs since 2001. My sittings have ranged from a few hours to two weeks. I've sat for family, friends, and many parents here on Rover. My family has included two cats, Cleopatra and Caesar, and dogs Valentine, Athos, and Teddy. My goal as a sitter is to offer stability and enrichment while their parent is away. I'm available for drop-ins and overnights and happy to care for your home during the stay, watering plants, etc. My schedule is very flexible outside of my 9-5 at Yale. In-home sitting puts pets (and you!) at ease when you're away, so they can enjoy the "vacation" just as much as you can! My experience administering medication I've given pill medication via pill packs and oral liquid medication via syringe. If your dog requires medication, happy to discuss. (In case you're wondering why my testimonials haven't been updated recently, it's because I took a break from Rover to be more available to sit for family and friends. Sadly, some of those lovely pets have passed away now. It means though that I have the availability to return to Rover and I'm happy to be back!) In my initial meeting with a family, I like to get a sense of the pet's routine to determine if I can recreate that for them while their parent is away. My schedule, aside from my 9-5, is dictated by the pet's needs. I prefer to care for a pet in their own home. Before accepting a new client, I like to meet the pet and the parent(s) to make sure we're all vibing. I determine routine/schedule/likes/dislikes with the parent(s) in advance and stay in touch if something needs to deviate, which is rare.

About: Ive had years of experience between puppies to senior dogs. All deserve the same love. I've had a litter of 8 puppies 11 years ago and it taught me more than any book could. I still have one from that litter to this day. All dogs are different and need to be catered to independently. They all have their own love language. I work part time and its flexible, so I'm looking to fill the gaps with zoomies, pets, treats and love from dogs and other animals. In home, I have a large fenced yard, but prefer a walk so we both get exercise. Clients homes depend on what they have available.

The more notice I receive, the better care I can give, HOWEVER, no matter the notice, all my love is always given as often as agreed upon. About: I've got a Labrador retriever that wants to be everybody's friend and kids that love pets. I typically work-from-home throughout the week. I enjoy being active, so doggie time outside (walking in our neighborhood, hiking our local trails, or playing fetch outside) is right up my alley! Our cat passed away in 2024, but I'm keeping him on my profile so he will live on! :) I typically work from home and start a pet care routine for our pets in the morning and throughout the day. We're in a friendly neighborhood with many dog owners and a safe place for walking dogs. There are also some trails within driving distance. Our dog gets play time outside either by playing fetch or with a walk, and of course lots of love from the kids. I have a long lead that allows dogs to play in the front/back yard safely. Any dog's time outside is supervised to make sure they are not eating anything they shouldn't and getting the play time they need. A crate in the home is available.

We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon.
