“Karina kept me updated with photos daily and she took such good care of Nilla who can be a bit reactive/fearful at times. Karina assured me she would take extra care and Nilla left happy!”

“First time with the strangers, and it was a success! Our old lady was in top condition when we picked her up! Stefanie sent us updates/pictures every day, it was nice to see Ozzi being calm and comfortable. They even provided our dog with a rug for walking over the hardwood floors. Just shows how much they cared! Thank you!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of moochie:) they are very good with communication, providing updates and cute pictures of my dog Moochie. He had a great time playing with their dog Ollie. I was a little nervous in the beginning with small Moochie hanging out with big dogs but he seemed to get along with them! Happy he was able to play and socialize. Thank you Jieun, Matth and Ollie for treating moochie as your own for a few days ❤️so thankful 🙏🏼❤️”

“We left our Bernese Mountain Dog with Kara for a week and a half and had so much peace of mind knowing he was being loved as much as we love him. Kara was great and sent us many pictures and updates throughout our time away. I have to say, our doggie looked like he was smiling in all of the pictures...I was afraid he wouldn't want to come home :) I highly recommend Kara to love your pets in your absence!”

“Jessica and Ian are great dog people! Their welcoming atmosphere, frequent updates, and genuine affection for animals gives me peace of mind when I board my dog with them. They've got a safe & puppy-proof environment and my puppy is always in a good mood after staying with them. We are repeat customers and plan to keep it that way for a long time :)”

“Pam is so communicative and always shares photos of the pet :) she took such a good care of Tofu that Tofu cried and didn’t want to leave when we had to pick him up 🤭 thank you so much, Pam!”

“Our dog Remy had a wonderful time with Yi Jia and her dogs! We are new to the region and Yi Jia made us feel comfortable by walking us through her property / house where Remy would be staying and that gave us a lot of peace of mind. She sent us a lot of pics of Remy playing with her dogs and kept us informed throughout the stay. Remy had an incredible time with her and the dogs and cannot wait to go back!”

“Michelle saved us after a last minute cancellation with another sitter. She was ready to take in our boy within an hour and kept him overnight. We will absolutely be using her again!”

“Anthony watched my pup Stevie for 8 days when we went on a cruise. He was friendly and responsive and you could tell he really loves and takes great care of the dogs he watches. When we got stuck in Florida for two days he had no issues with her staying with him. It gave me comfort to know she was being taken care of. 100% would recommend.”

“A+ sitter. She was able to watch Buddy for a week on short notice. Helped walk me through my first time on the application and Bud even made a friend. Don’t hesitate to trust her with your pet!”

“Brianna took such good care of my dog! She clearly cares a lot about animals and I felt confident that my dog would be well taken care of while I had to go out of town. She what frequent updates and was always very responsive. I will definitely book with Brianna again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodbridge
Catie and her husband took excellent care of my dog Monsoon. They are kind, caring and were communicative throughout with regular photos and updates. It was clear that they immediately made him feel at home, which is quite a feat with his puppy energy and separation anxiety! Their fenced yard and home is the perfect setup for dogs, and they also took him on regular walks, which he loves. I would highly recommend them to care for any fur babies!

Noemi and David are so nice to work with, and we felt at ease while our 7 year old cavapoo was in their care. They have a lovely home with a fenced-in yard, and were attentive to Toby and his needs. They were great at communicating and sending photos and videos. This was our second time using them and we will definitely be contacting them again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
