I’ve had pets all my life. I recently retired and have plenty of time day and night to care for your pets in my home and it would be an honor. If you know when your vacation is even if it’s several months away, but not ready to pay or don’t have the finances to pay at this time you may reserve the date with me on rover and let it sit in the “pending” section till the month you are planning your trip and pay then. If you would like to see the room your dog will be staying in please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’ve always been an animal lover and it brings me great happiness and joy being in the company of animals.

I have a little more than an acre of land. The short green grass in my yard is regularly mowed by myself. My house is a one floor ranch. I have a handicap accessible ramp for disabled and old dogs to walk down in my back of my house. In my yard I have 2 overhead secure steel cable runners that I put up that are attached to two trees (80 feet apart) so dogs can run back and forth. I recently created a pet play area in a portion of my yard with a fence surrounding it. When walking outside I use a collar and leash for all dogs and with my dog too. My dog eats 2 times a day and relaxes in the living room with me. She sleeps on my bed at night. I have no issue if your pet needs to be in a crate to relax or to nap otherwise I have more than enough furniture for your pet to relax on or if need be they can sleep on my bed. I recommend a care bag for your dog with such items as blanket, pumpkin puree, uncooked rice, wet wipes for dogs, food, snacks, toys, leash, bed and poop baggies, etc. When and if I have more than one dog in my care at one time, I have separate rooms that dogs can be separated. In addition to closed doors; I also use gates when walking from room to room to avoid any chance of confrontations. On occasion if I happen to have the same breed and same size staying in my home and a pet owner requests for their dog to socialize with others I always make exceptions. The reason that I don’t invite pet owners inside my home is because I like to have dogs loose in different rooms. I don’t want to take the chance of a dog biting or attacking a person or their pet. Safety is my number one priority. I’d be glad to show you on my phone photos of the rooms and/or from my security camera screen. Thank you 🤗

Depending on the environment - if fenced in vs not play outdoors throwing a toy or ball and the dog retrieves it. Take dog for a walk with leash. If inside play with toy with dog, cuddle and pet them while I talk to them. In my yard I have fenced in 1/3 of the yard so your dog can play fetch and run around to release some energy. I also enjoy walking each dog in my yard as well.

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas
Through out my life; I’ve had all sorts of jobs from construction, handyman work, to caregiving for special needs and pet caregiver as well. I am retired and enjoy helping others which includes volunteer work. Please let me know if you are a first time user of Rover and I will text you my “discount link” offered through rover. This will give you a Discount off your Rover booking with me. I traveled to help volunteer with “Save a Turtle” we rescued green sea turtles. It was a wonderful experience. Since I can remember; I’ve had pets ranging from parrots, cats, dogs, chickens, turtles, fish, snakes, ducks, turkeys, honey bees, as well as a pot belly pig named Buddy who thought He was a dog! All dogs come in all shapes and sizes and I love them all. It fascinates me how each dog has something to offer whether it’s a hug, a lick or a bark - they all have something special and unique about them. Each dog has a different personality too. I can honestly say I remember every pet I’ve had as a guest at my house through Rover. Each one was special. I’ve helped family and friends in need with their pets and still continue to do so. I’ve taken in rescue animals of all sorts over the years. I am retired and am home 24/7 day and night. I really enjoy this and it brings happiness to me. I’d love to have your pet over as a guest in my home. In addition to my pet sitting services - I can do long term boarding. I also do dog walking, drop in visits in your home and house sitting. I not only take care of dogs in your home, but also fish, birds, turtles, lizards, snakes, cats etc… I am experienced in taking care of older dogs even in diapers, special needs, arthritic issues, blind and or deaf as well as dogs with severe anxiety. You can book with me last minute or even months in advance for your pets. I have an organized schedule. If you are a repeat client of mine, you can also text me from a past booking on rover and let me know up to a year in advance. If you need me to hold a date for you on my schedule then when the date gets closer, you can book it and pay a few weeks prior on Rover. Please let me know during our meet and greet if your pet is on any medications so I can make note of that for when they stay as a guest. When dogs are my guests I take care of them, feed them, comfort them, play, pet and hug them and bring them out for potty breaks as well as walk them every 2-3 hours using a leash at all times, etc. Depending on what the pet owner prefers I can keep your dog separated from other dogs and/or together to socialize. I follow instructions as to what is requested by the pet owner. I don’t ever put different size dogs together. A dog is given only food and snacks that are provided by their owner. Safety is my priority. When giving updates I send photos and in addition to, I always share how much your dog has eaten, drank, if peed and or pooped, how they slept etc… As for my roommate Carolyn - she likes to take photos of the dogs from a different perspective and she also sits and plays with the dogs. I feel this is a good balance and a win win situation where the dogs get love and attention from both of us like when they’re home. Carolyn - my roommate also helps me with uploading my photos and as I dictate into my phone for your dogs update she helps with typos that may occur. I am not tech savvy. My thumbs are too big to type and I end up misspelling. Please know that it is me you are communicating with at all times. I also have security cameras set up in every room of my house - as well as outside so I can see what’s going on if I’m walking from one room to another. If it rains or snows I use the security camera to upload photos of your dog with me since I can’t bring my phone outside in the inclement weather and chance destroying it. I feel it’s imperative to keep pet owners informed every 2-3 hours with photos, videos and information on how and what their pet is doing. Please let me know if you prefer that or if you’d like updates less frequently. I have no problem with pet owners contacting me anytime to ask how their pet is doing. 🤗 Please let me know while your pet is in my home if you’d like one or two updates or every few hours of updates, photos and videos. I have experience with taking care of dogs with special needs, medical conditions requiring extra care and assistance as well as administering medications. I enjoy caring for special needs dogs. I also have a handicap ramp leading from my back door to the fenced in yard. Please let me know prior to booking if your dog requires medication administration or if special needs so that I can be prepared or if I may have questions. If you are a repeat client and are going to make a reservation for my pet sitting I’d be glad to honor my original daily rate $ from our first booking reservation etc. In addition - I locked the original booking rate for my repeat clients so prices never go up. As you can see some of my Rover rates have increased over the past year. If you have more than one dog or combination of cats and dogs to be cared for I’d be glad to give a group discounted price. Thank you so much
