About: I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. For the past 4 years I've helped my stepmom with her pet-sitting business, caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I've also watched, walked, and cared for pets for friends, family members, and neighbors. Being around animals never feels like work to me. I love getting outside for walks, playing with energetic dogs, and giving extra attention to dogs that might be missing their owners. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I do my best to make every dog feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you're away. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I love spending time with animals. Between working at home and my other responsibilities, I make sure I have plenty of time set aside to give pets the attention they deserve. Whether it's a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, I'm happy to work with your pet's normal routine and make sure they stay comfortable and cared for. I know every pet is different, so I always take the time to learn their routine, personality, and any special needs they may have. I follow owners' instructions carefully and make sure pets always have fresh water, exercise, attention, and a safe environment. I'll also keep you updated while you're away with photos and messages because I know how much that means to their families.

“Mikayla and Justin took great care of Rigatoni— were easy to communicate with, provided check-ins, and genuinely cared about her well-being. So grateful!”

“We booked last minute with Brianna and we are so glad we did! She was kind and professional from the start. I appreciated how quick and clear of a communicator she was. From the photos she shared with us, it was evident that Loki, our husky, was having a great time and being well cared for. He came home happy and healthy. With Brianna’s genuine love for dogs and experience she has caring for them - I felt at ease when she watched our dog for two weeks. We would definitely book again. Thank you Bri!”

“Laura, Carolina and Enrique were very welcoming of Nora. They took really good care of her. It was her first time here and she loved their backyard. Nora is a mini aussie who loves to run and their backyard was perfect for her.”

“Hazard took great care of my dog. She sent consistent photos and videos, and even sent 2 pet reports! Willa was happy and in great shape when I picked her up. I would definitely use Hazard again!”

“I am so grateful to have found Jay! I have a senior dog that doesn’t see or hear well and a really shy dog. I am confident that they are well cared for with Jay. ❤️”
“We had a great experience with Luci’s daycare service. From the start, communication was easy and reassuring. She shared photos and videos throughout the day, which made us feel completely at ease. Dante looked very comfortable and happy, almost like he was at home. It’s not always easy to find someone you can fully trust with your dog, but this was definitely one of those cases. We’re really glad we found her and will absolutely book again when needed. Highly recommended.”

“Ingrid is fantastic! She has the perfect setting for our 2 dogs and is genuinely interested in making sure they are happy and adjusting. She sends pictures and provides a written summary of the stay. Our dogs came back happy and excited about their sleepover and being able to play with Ingrid's dogs is a definite plus for them! I highly recommend Ingrid!!”
“She was efficient and extremely nice and I can definitely tell Pepper had fun. Will definitely recommend her services again and will definitely be booking again. I’ve already told my friends who are pet owners”

“Monique is amazing! She's organized, responsive, sent daily updates during boarding, and most importantly took loving care of my pups, one of whom is anxious and needs humans to be patient and gentle with her. This was the most stress-free boarding I've ever experienced and allowed me to truly enjoy my travel and not worry knowing my dogs were with someone who truly cares. They came home happy, exhausted from all the play, and in good spirits and health!”

About: I love my dogs. I have taken care of my dogs . I give baths and play with them and take them to walks. They are family to me. I’m very flexible. My child are 13 and 14 years old. I have a lot of time in the day to play with dogs inside and outside. I have a quiet neighbor and safe home. I have fully fenced in yard, Dogs have enough space to run and play. And would be very safe.
“Anthony was excellent ! They took such good care of my pet. Received constant updates. It was like my dog went on a vacation and had so much fun. I will definitely recommend leaving your fur baby on their very capable and caring hands”

“She was a great dog sitter, reliable, caring, and my dog loved her. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. she kept an open line of communication and sent pictures each day to keep me up dated”

“Andrea was super nice and managed to accomodate our last-minute Christmas booking. She kept us updated with lots of photos and videos, and our dogs looked quite happy and relaxed. Her house has a fenced-in area that they loved to play in. Most impressive of all, though, was that Andrea let the dogs into her bedroom (they are used to sleeping next to us), on Christmas no less. Our dogs seemed in great shape when we picked them up after their 3 day stay. She seems to be a very caring and careful dog sitter. We would have no hesitation in our leaving our dogs with her again. Thanks!”
“Davon was amazing. I outreached very impromptu and he was available for a meet and greet with Arya. ( which went well. We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon. I recommend and will use him again. 🐾💕”

“It was a pleasure to have Leviena care for my dog, Dixie, for four nights! Since Dixie is a rescue who earlier spent a year in limbo between living at a city dog shelter in NC and a rescue agency in VA, I was reluctant to leave her anywhere, but needed to go to Colorado for a few days. Across the year since I adopted her, I had not left her with anyone else in that time. But my little wiggle-butt pit bull mix was so happy to meet Leviena and her children, one of whom shared his bed and snuggles with her every night. Leviena shared daily pictures while I was away, and Dixie came back to me the same happy, healthy, and loving little girl. I highly recommend Leviena!!!”

“Catie and her husband were able to take care of my dog when travel plans changed last minute. I was very nervous with a new sitter but they took great care of Barkley. They sent videos and pictures thru out his stay and were very responsive when I reached out to check on how he was doing. I would recommend them and use again!”

Bruce was amazing! If we could give him more than 5 stars we would! He was able to facilitate a last-minute meet and greet on very little notice so he could accommodate Enzo and Ginger's first stay with him, and we really appreciated his flexibility. He is so genuinely warm, kind, calm and calming, and had such a thorough, practical and professional approach to what information should be exchanged to prepare for a smooth and successful visit. From that very first meeting, both pups took to Bruce right away, which immediately put us at ease. When we arrived for their actual stay a few days later, Enzo was excited to go right inside, and that alone spoke volumes about how comfortable he already felt. Our pups spent four nights as "guests" in Bruce's home, and it honestly couldn't have gone better. He created such a calm, welcoming environment that they were able to completely relax and keep the same routine they're used to at home. Knowing they were comfortable and well cared for gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Bruce is also a phenomenal communicator. He was incredibly responsive from start to finish and kept us updated throughout their stay with thoughtful messages and lots of pictures. It was so reassuring to see how happy, relaxed, and cared for Enzo and Ginger were each day. At pick up, Bruce was both informative and expressive as to the success of the stay and pleasure at our pups' temperament and adjustment, demonstrating they were very much themselves and that Bruce really learned to understand them. The biggest surprise was at pick up and when we brought them home. There was absolutely no yelling at us for being away, no overabundant greeting, just happy to see us, happy to get in the car, happy to return to their favorite spots with no adjustment period—no stress, no reactivity, attention seeking and no decompression needed. They settled right back into life at home as if they'd never left, which has never been our experience with boarding before. There was even less reactivity and transition than some of the in our own home overnight care they have had. That's a true testament to the care, attention, and environment Bruce provides. It's obvious that Bruce genuinely loves what he does and treats the dogs in his care like family. We couldn't have asked for a better first boarding experience for Enzo and Ginger, and we're so grateful we found him. We're looking forward to many future stays with Bruce!

Kara did a great job taking care of my babies. She not only babysat them, she took them on a field trip (literally) and played with them. One of my dogs got dirty from playing in the field, and she took the time to bath him. I appreciate her so much and will be using her again.

Amazing Service. Karina was very caring and responsive. She kept us informed with text message with pictures of how the day was progressing with our dog. She was even able to get him to eat regularly — which has been a problem at times. We highly recommend Karina as a Dog sitter and only which she were available to usnear our home in Florida

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
