“She got really good care from this home doggie day care. It was really amazing to watch her thrive around the new friends she made at doggie daycare. Really great communication and lots of updates, pics, and videos while I was away. It seemed every time I started missing my little Chihuahua I got a pic. Great experience and would definitely rebook.”

“Davon was amazing. I outreached very impromptu and he was available for a meet and greet with Arya. ( which went well. We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon. I recommend and will use him again. 🐾💕”

“Bianca is very responsible and does an amazing job at caring for my dog. I have left my dog with her multiple time in the past and every time she goes above and beyond. Thank you Bianca!”

“Mari was fantastic! She kept updating me throughout the day about my puppy. She took him out on multiple walks and made sure his exercise needed were met consider my puppy was very high energy. I would definitely rebook.”

“All I can say is……WOWWW‼️ Hazard took very good care of my Diva. My fur baby was so happy and active during her stay and did well with small kids and other dogs too!! I love the fact that I was sent pictures and videos of Diva every few hours, it really calmed my nerves since this was the very first time that we have been separated for any extended time. I highly recommend Hazard to anyone who needs to their dog cared for. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽”

“Yi Jia was amazing with my dog. She sent daily updates with pictures. Miaomiao was so happy when I picked him up. She spent a lot of time playing with my dog and followed all our instructions to take good care of him. We highly recommend her and will definitely book again”

“Anthony kept us up to date on how our dog was doing including how she was eating. He provided us with pictures on a daily basis. Sometimes in the morning and evening.”

“Ingrid was fantastic with our dog Waylon. We had photos, updates and he came back happy. Ingrid also has a great little area for dogs to play which has dif wonders for our dog. Will be using her again very soon.”

About: Hi!! My name is Kimberly and I love your pets the same way I do to mine. I have a 6-year-old Pomeranian named Ozzie. I live in Shelton CT which has many different walking trains. The beach is where I like to walk the most. My availability is every day after 12:00 but my schedule is very flexible. I'm mainly at home during my free time so your dog or cat wouldn't be left alone, I also have all holidays off. If you are on a trip or planning one this summer, I work a part-time job from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. In the summer, I spend most of my downtime on my deck outside. I'd love to meet and watch your dogs and cats! I hope to hear back from you! :) I am available on Weekdays and weekends for boarding! On workdays, I normally leave at about six in the morning and return around 12 in the afternoon. I have a camera in the house that I can use to keep an eye on them during that time.!! I want to make your pets just as comfortable at my home so they feel welcomed and safe! They can sleep where ever they are most comfortable.
“Tina was great! She was flexible on timing, very communicative, sent great pictures of our dog, and he came home happy. Would recommend her highly and look forward to using her in the future.”

“She was a great dog sitter, reliable, caring, and my dog loved her. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. she kept an open line of communication and sent pictures each day to keep me up dated”

“Eva was the prefect match for my Teddy very warm and caring. Always sent videos with his tail wagging, which means he was happy and that what matters the most. Definitely would recommend Eva to friends and family, she's going to be my #1 for when I have to travel in the future 😁😁”

“Jessica and Ian were terrific! We went away to a family wedding and I was so nervous leaving my 17 year old Bo. When interviewing them I told them about Bo being elderly with walking issues and other elderly ailments, and they assured me that they had no problem, loved elderly dogs, and would take great care of him. Well they were right!! He settled right in and looked so happy in the pics they sent. And he was fine and relaxed when we picked him up.”

“Kayla and her husband took such great care of Gus! They had him 11 days and sent photos and videos every day. They have a wonderful female Vizla who seemed to love Gus, and their big fenced yard gave him a safe place to play. They also went on walks and outings, even to the beach. He was glad to see me when I got back but he was looking out the rear window as we drove away, perhaps sorry his vacation was over! Highest regard for the care he received!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ansonia
Our dogs, Luna and Billie, seemed to have a terrific time with Nadine and Daniel. This is the second time they have stayed with them and we couldn't be happier. The girls bounded in and seemed happy to be back. Great communication, lots of walks, pictures and updates. Will happily use them again in the future!!

Stefanie and her family were so wonderful with my dog Winnie. They sent me photos of her having a great time every day and I felt so comforted knowing she was safe and happy. In fact, Winnie had such an awesome time that she didn’t even want to leave when I came to pick her up! 😂❤️

Kara did a great job taking care of my babies. She not only babysat them, she took them on a field trip (literally) and played with them. One of my dogs got dirty from playing in the field, and she took the time to bath him. I appreciate her so much and will be using her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
