“Catherine was wonderful with Josie, she attended to every one of her needs and treated her like the true diva that she is! She gave her her drops, her eye drops three times a day on schedule, sent me pictures and videos. I was hoping Josie would a still wanna come home with me and not stay with Catherine.!!!Sue w.”

“Liliana & her husband were very good with Luigi. They both took the time during our Meet & Greet to ask questions and get to know him. Liliana sent pictures during his stay and he looked happy out on his afternoon walks.”

“Hazard was extremely communicative! We received so many pictures and updates I never had to wonder what he was up to. He was welcomed into her home with open arms. He had lots of playmates and returned tired, happy, and well cared for. Will absolutely be reaching out again next time we have a need!”

“Stefanie was great with my dog Daisy! I was happy to receive daily updates and Daisy looked like she was having a great time :) she even made a cat friend! I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her for a long weekend.”

“She was a great dog sitter, reliable, caring, and my dog loved her. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. she kept an open line of communication and sent pictures each day to keep me up dated”

“My dog Ralph has stayed with Anne-Marie a few times now, and has always enjoyed himself. I always get great photos of him, and he never wants to leave. Would highly recommend!”

“Jay was a last minute life saver but I’m so glad our paths crossed! He was so kind and gentle with our Kobe. We will definitely be our top guy if we ever need a sitter. It was our first time leaving Kobe with a stranger in another environment, Jay made us all feel very comfortable and ensured Kobe will be ok. We received updates and photos daily which really helped. I’m so glad we found Jay! Thanks again for your gentle care.”

“Nicole and the girls took such great care of Friday. From the second they opened the door the girls took him under their wing and made him feel right at home. Nicole sent a ton of photos and I was jealous of how much fun they were having. I don’t think he wanted to come home! Thank you so much Nicole!”

“Jayme was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly flexible with our schedule and always responded quickly to our messages. We felt so at ease knowing Finnegan was in such good hands. It was clear that she genuinely cared for him and that he had a great time with her dogs. We highly recommend Jayme to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter!”

“Dan and his parents did an excellent job caring for Jessie, our 7 year old Golden Retriever. After meeting them, we felt confident that we could trust them to keep her safe and care for her properly. They went out of their way to make sure Jessie felt at home and treated her like one of the family. She enjoyed long walks and lots of cuddle time! I like that they only board one dog at a time so they were able to give her their undivided attention. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was in their loving and competent care. Jessie came home happy and relaxed and we would love to use them again!”

“Karina did an excellent job looking after my dog while I was away for the weekend. This was my first time having someone watch him, and her regular updates and photos kept me from worrying. Her friendly dog was an added bonus, and it was clear from the moment I picked up Teddy that he had been well-loved and cared for the whole time. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Karina again for future trips.”

“Emmet had a wonderful stay at Luci's! Luci took great care of him - she was very attentive and sent lots of updates. Emmet also really enjoyed playing with his new friend Cacao. Thanks Luci!”

“Henry has stayed with Brianna two or three times now, and I'll continue to rebook with her! When we dropped him off for this stay, he recognized where he was and was very excited to be there.”

About: I love my dogs. I have taken care of my dogs . I give baths and play with them and take them to walks. They are family to me. I’m very flexible. My child are 13 and 14 years old. I have a lot of time in the day to play with dogs inside and outside. I have a quiet neighbor and safe home. I have fully fenced in yard, Dogs have enough space to run and play. And would be very safe.
“Bianka was wonderful with my dog Howie. She was responsive and provided frequent updates while he was in her care! I’d absolutely recommend Bianka to anyone in need of a dog sitter. :)”

“Thank you so much for taking care of moochie:) they are very good with communication, providing updates and cute pictures of my dog Moochie. He had a great time playing with their dog Ollie. I was a little nervous in the beginning with small Moochie hanging out with big dogs but he seemed to get along with them! Happy he was able to play and socialize. Thank you Jieun, Matth and Ollie for treating moochie as your own for a few days ❤️so thankful 🙏🏼❤️”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
