I can tell she truly loves animals. Xander usually barks at strangers but he was very calm with her. It was a very smooth experience with her and I will definitely be using her services again. Thank you so much ❤️

Bruce is wonderful! He jumped in the help on absolutely no notice when my regular dogwalker got sick and walked my dog regularly (3x/week) for a month. Could not be happier and looking forward to hiring him again when the need arises

Rachael did a great job with my dog Harry today! He came home happy & tired so that's a good thing. He ate his dinner quite heartily too, ha, ha! I'm looking forward to having her come back again hopefully on a regular basis for walks & see if we can get some weight off Harry as he is overweight for his size right at this stage in life. Thanks so much Rachael!

If I could leave Jen 6 stars, I would. She is not only communicative and easy to work with, she’s also so kind. I don’t know about you, but that is so appreciated when you’re stressed about getting some last-minute care for your pup. She’s also great with Jax and he loves her. Highly recommend contacting Jen for fur baby needs!

About: I love all kinds of dogs; big and sporty (love those), gentle giants, puppies, goofy, old and slow, small and mighty. I just love them all. I've been working with animals for 11 years now. I've done it all Between dog sitting, bathing, grooming, walking and just having my own pets. It's been both an amazing and very fulfilling experience. I've always loved working with and being surrounded by animals. I'll make your pet feel right at home in mine. Fur on the furniture is a okay and expected! All day cuddles are my favorite even if the lap dog doesn't exactly fit in your lap haha. I'm available all day for booking requests even last minute. I lead a very active lifestyle so walking is always fun but can also take it slow with the older ones. I have a huge fenced in backyard and I’m home all day with your pup. I offer custom rates for extended stays and weekly daycare/walks. I also can care for other pets in your home as well with experience in; chinchillas, rabbit, ferrets, sugar glider, hedgehogs, hamsters, rat/mice, guinea pigs and various reptile. I also keep those plant babies alive as well! I’m available all day. I can work from anywhere because I have a pretty flexible schedule. My whole day revolves around caring for all kinds animals. I have a huge fenced in yard parking for lounging and tiring out the active pup. In your home I will treat them like my own and leave your home better than I found it.

About: Caring for animals has been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home that always had two dogs at a time, and before moving out, my family had raised six wonderful dogs together. From energetic pups to older companions, I’ve experienced the full range of what it means to care for dogs through different stages of life. I currently share my home with two special-needs cats, which has taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. Managing medications, monitoring behavior changes, and creating a calm, safe environment are all things I take seriously. My primary goal when caring for your pet is simple: I want them to feel happy, secure, and relaxed while you’re away. I also know how important peace of mind is for owners. I’m communicative, reliable, and happy to provide updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe and cared for. I treat every animal with gentleness, respect, and the kind of attention I would want for my own pets. I work remotely in IT for a nonprofit organization, which gives me a very flexible weekday schedule. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy having some furry company during the week. Whether that means a midday walk to break up my workday or a fuzzy companion nearby while I’m at my desk. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m happy to structure my schedule around walks, feeding times, medication needs, or check-ins. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches, and you can expect consistent updates while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your routines and instructions carefully. I follow feeding schedules, medication needs, walking routines, and house rules closely so your pet’s world feels as consistent and familiar as possible while you’re away. I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident everything is going smoothly. If your pet stays in my home, their comfort and safety are my top priorities. They will have their own dedicated space in my finished basement office that is clean, hazard-free, and separate from my cats. This allows visiting pets to relax without feeling overwhelmed, and ensures everyone stays safe and stress-free. The space includes a comfortable couch just for them, plenty of room to stretch out, and a calm environment away from household noise. I’m home during the day, so they’ll receive regular supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and attention, balanced with quiet time to rest.

About: Hi! I enjoy meeting, engaging with, and caring for family pets and have experience with all breeds of dogs and cats at all age ranges. I am available for ongoing long-term set schedules as well as flexible schedules for pet sitting. My schedule allows me to check in morning, midday, and/or late afternoons/evenings. I do not presently render services at my home, but I do not mind crating your dog at your home and enjoying many walks and hikes nearby.

About: I am an Animal Behavior student with professional experience in dog daycare, training, educational animal programs, and wildlife rehabilitation. I have hands-on experience working with dogs, cats, rabbits, small animals, reptiles, and rehabilitating wildlife in both professional and personal settings. Through my education and experience, I have developed a strong understanding of animal behavior and body language, allowing me to recognize signs of stress or discomfort and create a safe, calm, and positive environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. My schedule is very flexible, and I have plenty of availability throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I also work part-time in animal care, so my hours can occasionally vary, but I always do my best to accommodate different schedules and provide dependable, loving care for every pet. Your pet’s safety and comfort are really important to me. I have experience working with animals in daycare, boarding, training, educational animal programs, and wildlife rehabilitation, so I understand how important patience, supervision, and routine are. I always respect owners’ instructions and work to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me.

About: I am a young teen with a lot of time on her hands and I already work at doggy daycare, giving me experience with big dogs and small dogs especially dogs that can be reactive. Every animal should be loved and treated the same way! It actually helps to apply into my job already with more animal experience and my future career in the animal medical field I have two cats at home that I’ve raised basically since work and my love for animals requires me to be 100% about them and open for them all week In my own home I have my cats on a routine, it’s really hard to have animals without a routine especially kittens. I have a job that I work four days at and would love to be able to put forward what I already know in to taking care of your pets!

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
