About: I am a semi retired veterinary assistant with nearly 20 years professional experience and a passion for caring for animals. As a life long pet owner myself, I know how hard and stressful it can be to leave your pets at home. I appreciate and respect the trust that every owner puts in me when they contact me to care for their animal. I can give medications if needed, including injections. Also have worked in shelters and volunteer at rescues. I have taken care of senior dogs and cats. Feeding, walking, playing or if they have any special needs is not a problem. I have a flexible schedule and open to working with you to arrange drop in visits. Mid morning through later afternoons are open for me. If you need another time, just let me know. I'm happy to do whatever your pets need, whether they want to play, walk or just hang out. If they are a little shy and need time to get used to me is totally understandable, I will follow their cues. I will take my time to learn what they need and adapt to them. The goal is always to keep them as stress free as possible.

I have experience with feeding wet and dry food, as well as giving liquid and pill medication!

About: I have 2 labs (1 lab German Shepard mix and 1 lab), who love to play and romp around, as well as the finer things in life like relaxation.My working schedule allows me to work from home full time, huge plus for the pups and kiddos. We travel about once a year for 2 weeks, and mostly spend our time in town as our boys do sports. I was a dog walker and sitter for 2 years in college, had a dog growing up as a child and I’ve rescued and adopted 5 pups with my husband. Since I'm use to the early mornings, walking the fur babies early is not a problem. I believe a tired dog is a happy dog and I try to make sure they get as much play time and attention as needed. Treating the fur babies as family members, means they have their beds, own couch, toys and free range in our house.

About: I've been taking care of my own dog since we first got her 7 years ago, and I also used to volunteer at the New Milford Animal Shelter. My family fosters animals (both cats and dogs) from Because 4 Paws in New Milford, so I have some basic experience with administering medicines and helping others administer medicines. I've also been a dog sitter for 3 different families. I recently moved back to the east coast and am looking for some side work while I hunt for a full time job. I'm not sure when that will be, so I'm trying not to set my availability too far out, but am still flexible for now! Depending on what the owners are comfortable with, I would love to take the dogs out for a walk at a nearby park or walking trail. We have four cats at our house that are wary of new animals, so I am unable to pet sit at my residence. However, I am willing to spend time with your fur babies at your house or preferred location, and will follow whatever instructions necessary to ensure the comfortability of you and your pets.

I have spent a lot of timing researching and helping animals who need it, and I have even taken classes on animal care and behavior. I love animals and they always have, and will be, a big part of my life. My schedule does vary, but it is flexible. Monday evenings, tuesdays, Friday evenings, Saturday, and Sunday especially, I am generally available. I will always try to fit your pets in! Although I can not offer boarding, your pets safety and happiness is of the upmost importance. I will work based off of what your pet is expressing to me and what you tell me, combined with my own experience to keep everybody safe and happy!
