About: I’ve always had a huge heart and love for animals of all kinds! I have experience pet sitting for numerous families, caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from smaller breeds to larger, high-energy breeds like German Shepherds and Rottweilers. I also have two huskies of my own, so I’m very familiar with energetic dogs and the attention, exercise, and care they need! I’m a very active person who loves being outdoors, going for walks, and making sure pets get plenty of exercise and attention. My love for animals doesn’t stop at dogs! I also adore cats and have experience caring for them as well. I truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality and always strive to make them feel comfortable, happy, and loved. I treat every pet as if they were my own! I currently work full-time but have a flexible schedule that allows me to make time for pet care throughout the week. I’m available most evenings after work and have plenty of availability on weekends! I’m happy to work with pet owners to accommodate their schedules and ensure their pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so I love being able to incorporate pet sitting into my routine! As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for animals! I have two huskies of my own who are both crate trained, and we have an electric fence at home. I also make an effort to take my dogs on walks almost every day, even if it's just a short walk to get some fresh air and exercise! I’ve also owned both indoor-only and indoor/outdoor cats, so I’m familiar with different routines, including litter box care and cats that are accustomed to going outside. When caring for pets in a client's home, I always do my best to follow their normal routines, whether that includes feeding schedules, walks, playtime, crate training, or any other specific needs. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away!

We have 8 pets, so leaving them with someone new is a pretty big deal for us, especially because a few of them have specific care needs. She made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. She was incredibly communicative throughout our trip and sent us tons of pictures and updates. She even let us know when she was leaving the house and when she planned to return, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing what was happening at home while we were away. It was obvious from all the pictures that our pets were getting lots of attention, love, and honestly being completely spoiled. She also gave one of our cats his medication and carefully followed the special instructions we left for our dog who gets very anxious during thunderstorms. Knowing she was willing and able to handle those extra care needs meant a lot to us. She also had to coordinate transferring their care to another sitter partway through our trip, and she handled the transition so thoughtfully. She cleaned up and changed the bedding for the next sitter and made the handoff feel seamless. With 8 pets, there are a LOT of routines and little details to keep track of, and she handled everything with so much care. We have 8 happy, well-loved pets, which is really all we could ask for. She is kind, dependable, communicative, attentive, and clearly genuinely cares about the animals she is looking after. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets, and we would happily book with her again!”

“Sam is by far the best cat sitter I’ve ever hired. She was extremely dedicated to looking after my older cat. Sam is a real cat whisperer - even though my cat is pretty nervous and skittish around people, she absolutely adores Sam and showed her belly in most picture that Sam sent! Sam sent updates multiple times per day, sent some of the best pictures I’ve ever seen of my cat, and was so dedicated to my cat’s care. I’ve been worried about my cat’s eating because of her gastroenteritis, and Sam told me every day whether my cat had eaten or not. Sam even put treats in with my cat’s wet food to coax my cat to eat her new, vet-prescribed food. Sam is such a wonderful, caring and extremely capable pet sitter - I’ve never felt so calm being away from my cat! I’m so grateful that Sam is our regular, most trusted pet sitter.”

About: I've been taking care of my own dog since we first got her 7 years ago, and I also used to volunteer at the New Milford Animal Shelter. My family fosters animals (both cats and dogs) from Because 4 Paws in New Milford, so I have some basic experience with administering medicines and helping others administer medicines. I've also been a dog sitter for 3 different families. I recently moved back to the east coast and am looking for some side work while I hunt for a full time job. I'm not sure when that will be, so I'm trying not to set my availability too far out, but am still flexible for now! Depending on what the owners are comfortable with, I would love to take the dogs out for a walk at a nearby park or walking trail. We have four cats at our house that are wary of new animals, so I am unable to pet sit at my residence. However, I am willing to spend time with your fur babies at your house or preferred location, and will follow whatever instructions necessary to ensure the comfortability of you and your pets.
