About: There are multiple reasons why I would be the perfect person to take care of your pet! I worked at Guiding eyes for the Blind where I helped train and care for labs and German shepherds. I have worked at a dog kennel and a veterinary center where I provide top care to the client's pets. I aid dogs ranging from puppies to seniors, healthy to unwell, teacup to gigantic. I have also dog sat for multiple friends for days on end. I currently have a 14 year old lab mix that I have taken care of since I was a teenager. I also have a 2 year old lab pup with tons of energy. I prefer to hike my dogs in the woods and let them explore and chase the squirrels. We play fetch and tug of war. About: I’ve taken care of family cats since the age of 5 and when I started living on my own with my previous partner we had three rescued cats together. One of these cats developed diabetes and needed daily insulin shots, and then eventually needed fluid IVs in which I had to learn to take care of since my ex wasn’t okay with the procedure. After our split (2012-2017), he took the cats, but in 2021 when my now-husband, we adopted a rescue cat with a shortened tail and have been dog and cat people ever since! Thankfully I have yet to need to use my medication administering skills on our cat, but we do a very good job at keeping him healthy and happy so it is less likely he will develop diabetes later in his life.

About: I've been working at an animal hospital for 20+ years and have been managing the grooming and boarding facility there for 15+ years. Our house is set back from the road on 100+ acres of conservation land where we can hike and explore with your dog. Our house is roomy and comfortable, and we strive to provide whatever your dog needs. We also value enrichment for pets - we hope your dog will learn, grow, and be stimulated while with us. We also live right next door to my father, who is a veterinarian and available for any questions we might have. We have a new addition to our family and welcomed in a baby boy in June 2025. Since then, we are accepting new clients with smaller dogs and sometimes larger dogs if they are older or laid back. We do have a soft spot for our older guests and love to keep them comfortable and pampered. We live in a one story house, so there are minimal steps. We try to mimic your own schedule at home. And one of us is home every day so we're able to provide the best care possible. We have a small fenced in area outside our front door, mostly for safety in coming in and out of the house. Outside of that area, I leash walk your dogs (until we have a larger fenced in area). We have gates inside to give dogs their own space if/when they want it. If you pet is more comfortable in a crate during bedtimes or short times alone, we can provide that as well. We are diligent regarding medication, feeding instructions, and medical concerns. We also will keep you up to date on how the stay is going and welcome you to reach out anytime.

About: I am an animal lover here to help! I grew up with animals, and have 3 dogs and 2 cats of my own. I also owned ducks and chickens for several the years. I have many years experience with a variety of medical issues pertaining to dogs and cats, including allergies and epilepsy. That same puppy is now approved and undergoing training to be a psychiatric service dog. My other 2 dogs are also well trained. Although we’re happy to take it easy, we also love to hike and would be happy to take your dog along! I am currently working per diem with a very flexible schedule, and hoping to dedicate my focus to doing something I love, caring for animals! I have a relatively open schedule at this time, and hope to fill the calendar with spending time with your dogs! My pets are my babies! I have a fenced in yard, with a dog door to access it. It does close, and can be kept closed during the day if needed as my dogs are extremely well trained, and also have the option to access to my home office (a separate building in the back yard) if needed. They have full range and free access to the downstairs, except we discourage them being in the kitchen. Our dogs are kept from the upstairs by a secured baby gate. They are allowed up there, just usually attended because the puppy sometimes confuses her human sisters toys for her own! We have a large property with a trail that we take our dogs up to, and also live very close to several hiking trails that we frequent. One of our dogs had to retire from long walks and hikes, so he stays home now, but he still loves a good car ride and a short easy walk!

About: I’ve grown up with animals of all kinds from as early as I can remember. Being the oldest of my siblings I was the first to have to take on the pet care chores, and this included both our dogs and our cats, and the other types of animals we had in our household. I have pet care experience with dogs and cats, as well as other pets too. When I moved out on my own with my previous partner (2012-2017) we had adopted three rescued cats, and I was the main administer of the diabetic cat’s insulin and late IV fluid treatments. My ex kept our cats in the split, but in 2018 I adopted my first dog completely on my own. She’s a rescue pit bull mix and now, with my current husband, she is joined by another rescued pit bull mix and a rescued cat. Last year we also adopted a red ear slider turtle off the street in Philadelphia and he now enjoys his aquatic terrarium with his guppy and pleco friends. In 2023 I briefly worked for a dog walking company in Ridgefield and was bit by one of the client’s dogs, unprovoked, and because of that I left the service after being blamed for the outburst and attack (despite telling the owners and the employer that the dog was getting increasingly aggressive with me and I wasn’t comfortable walking him anymore). It was the only time I had ever had an animal turn on me like that and it made me rethink working for a service where I wasn’t listened to or given proper protection. My husband and I have been Rover clients since we moved to Connecticut in 2023 and I am very happy to say we have never had a negative experience, which is why I have decided to lend my services to other pets and families in the area that are in need of an experienced pet caretaker. I am a professional actor so I have days that are marked off for auditions and work or rehearsals, however it is not a consistent time or place. I work throughout the Northeast, NYC, and the Mid Atlantic currently with my acting opportunities, but I am also open to short term travel as well. Because of that, my availability is very open some weeks and not as much on others, depending on what projects I am currently involved in and what the scheduling is like. I would love to spend more time your pets in my downtime and give them the attention they require, since mine are pretty saturated in it regularly. I have two dogs, which are extremely friendly and love other dogs, people, and cats! Our cat is very aloof so they wouldn’t be seen much in cases where pet sitting at my home is needed. Our yard is not fenced in but I am very accustomed to taking them out for walks, or having them leashed under my supervision in our yard. Because I live in Newtown, there are plenty of places to get some quality walks in, and we are also not far from open public dog parks either if that suits your furry friend! I also have my own car which I am more than comfortable transporting your pet in or coming to you for check ins or walks. Our dogs are up to date on vaccines so that is not a worry either, and I am diligent in making sure everyone has a great time when their friends (and our human friends) are over too!

If applicable, I like to go outside with the pets to play with them and make sure they get needed stimulation. I take them on walks (and of course clean up after them), and runs when applicable. I also like to make sure the animals get lots affection (as long as approved by their owners) to make sure they're not lonely while away!

Since I was 10 years old, I have volunteered at local dog and cat shelters whenever I have a couple open hours within the day: CPR (Companion Pet Rescue, Southbury CT), Heartland Humane Society (Corvallis OR), and Safe Haven Humane Society (Tangent OR).
