About: I’m from Scotland and I now live in Hamden with my husband and my pets. I have over 10 years of experience caring for cats and dogs as a devoted pet landlord! I have two cats, Artemis and Apollo, both shorthair tuxedoes, who are incredibly friendly and relaxed. My littlest has asthma so I am very skilled at administering medication and caring for sick pets. I also have a little Malshi puppy called Doug who is potty trained, LOVES other dogs and cats, is hypoallergenic, and and all round little snowball of love. I absolutely love caring for animals and am I pretty much always have Doug with me! Pups are never alone as we both work from home. We have a backyard for potty breaks and we typically do walks at 9am and then again at 6pm. We have a 2 floor home with lots of space and so can separate pets into own rooms if needed. Also have a private back yard with fence.

I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident everything is going smoothly. If your pet stays in my home, their comfort and safety are my top priorities. They will have their own dedicated space in my finished basement office that is clean, hazard-free, and separate from my cats. This allows visiting pets to relax without feeling overwhelmed, and ensures everyone stays safe and stress-free. The space includes a comfortable couch just for them, plenty of room to stretch out, and a calm environment away from household noise. About: I rescued my own dog from a shelter, and she required a lot of special training and patience. I worked with her on socialization, leash walking, and reducing pulling and barking around other dogs, and I have successfully helped her improve in all of these areas. Since she was a puppy when I adopted her, I also have experience with the patience, consistency, and care that younger dogs require. In addition, I care for a senior dog, so I am experienced in recognizing when a dog has reached their physical limit during walks and understanding how to adjust care based on their needs. Having experience with both younger and older dogs, as well as both large and small breeds, has taught me how to handle dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and training levels with confidence and care. I am currently in school but there are only three days a week I am completely booked with classes. My Mondays and Fridays and weekends are completely open and would love to spend my free time around more dogs! I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for pets while they are in my care. Since I live in an apartment, I make sure the space is pet-friendly, secure, and free of anything that could be harmful to animals. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, and any special instructions from the owner. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely to help pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I prioritize safety during walks, monitor pets closely around other animals, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, patience, and affection.
